Worst Harem Anime

Oh harem anime. They can be done really well or they can ruin the entire story. I don't like harem animes that much because they tend to rinse and repeat. Main character find him/herself in a situation where a bunch of people have an attraction for them, that same character not being smart enough to tell that another character likes them and never results in choosing one. I like some like Ouran High School Host Club and Clannad but dear lord there's some bad anime that involve harem. I'll leave ten suggestions and the rest is up to you.
The Top Ten
1 Diabolik Lovers Diabolik Lovers is a Japanese visual novel franchise by Rejet. The first game was released on October 11, 2012 for the PlayStation Portable. Three more games have been released since them with the first two games having been ported for the PlayStation Vita with the subtitle "Limited V Edition". ...read more.

The worst reverse harem I've ever watched. This anime had my hopes to be honest. I am a big vampire fan and would have loved to see a romance anime about vampires. But this was bad within the first five minutes of the anime. With a man sexually assaulting a girl, vampires who treated her like a piece of meat, a girl who wouldn't kick them and the only thing that made them vampires was their thirst for blood. Every episode made me cry a little more inside and I couldn't wait for it to be over. Every character is shallow, the music was forgettable, the story is thrown out the window for fanservice and it's just awful to watch.

Basically a fan fiction with a dull bland female lead. She's stupid and has no personality. Want a good reverse harem anime? I recommend Ouran High School Host Club or Yona of the Dawn. Not this head aching fan fiction

Want a good reverse harem anime? Try Ouran High school Club or Yona of the Dawn instead of this trash.

All harem anime is trash honestly. They make no sense and are just plain stupid

2 School Days An anime series was developed by TNK with joint production by Avex Entertainment, Lantis, Marvelous Entertainment, Pony Canyon and Jinnan Studio. The twelve television episodes of the anime aired in Japan between July 3, 2007 and September 27, 2007 on TV Kanagawa. On July 4, 2007 Chiba TV and TV Aichi also began to air the show with TV Saitama, TV Osaka and AT-X respectively picking it up a day after each other. The series has since been released in six limited and regular edition DVD volumes.

I seriously don't get the appeal of this anime. I heard that the game is better and I seriously hope so. The anime was just awful to sit through. A horrible main lead who thinks it's okay to cheat on his girlfriend and sleep with several other women. I don't even know why they want to sleep with him! He's not very attractive in my opinion, he's not very charming at all and doesn't have a personality. This anime should have been given a different approach and chose a different route like in the game. Because the anime isn't very good at all.

All harem anime suck in my opinion

3 Eiken Eiken is a fanservice-themed manga and anime series created by Seiji Matsuyama. The story depicts the life of schoolboy Densuke Mifune after he is forced into the mysterious Eiken Club.

If you can get past melon mountain, you might be able to see that this anime is supposed to be a harem. The fanservice was beyond over the top and wasn't even funny. It was just annoying. The main character is an enigma. He's not a character at all. Bad animation didn't help this anime at all. Poorly drawn character models, bland backgrounds and animation errors. Just avoid this anime.

Its terrible! One of the harem girls is a actual 6th grader with large breasts! A 6TH GRADER WITH L-CUP BREASTS! Its sexualising children! I am beyond digusted!

4 The Asterisk War Known in Japan as "Gakusen Toshi Asterisk," this anime series debuted in 2015 and is based on a light novel by Yuu Miyazaki. It features a world where individuals with magical abilities compete in battles at an academy. Known for its high-octane action scenes and harem elements, the series received mixed reviews but has a dedicated fan base.

This anime could have been decent but they waste SO much time on the harem that it ruins the anime. All of the girls that fawn over Ayato are superficial or underdeveloped. Each girl is a trope that you would find in T.V. Tropes online. One girl is a tsundere, one is a deadpan character, another is a loli and another has big boobs. They never go into their backstories enough to make them likable. And Ayato himself is just generic. He's OP and only lost one fight because he got "distracted". His personality isn't very well defined or understood either. It could have been decent if they focused more on the sci-fi element and not the harem but alas that didn't happen.

Where to even begin just google it sucks

This anime just sucks.

5 Infinite Stratos Infinite Stratos, also written as IS is a Japanese light novel series by Izuru Yumizuru with illustrations provided by Okiura and CHOCO.

An exoskeleton weapon engineered by Japan, Infinite Stratos (IS) can be piloted only by women. Its power and combat prowess are so immense that an international treaty has been signed banning its use as a military asset. ...read more.

Goodbye story and hello awful protagonist! Seriously the MC in this anime couldn't be any denser to how these girls are. Any male with half a brain could tell these girls wanna get into his pants. But Ichika is so stupid that he can't tell at all. Even during season 2 he can't tell by now that the girls are falling head over heels for him. The story is gone by the second season and focuses on the harem alone. The first season was already uninteresting with bad characterization, bad pacing and tedious characters.

The MC is infuriating. Most of the girls are horrible. The teacher is useless. And his sister doesn't do anything to protect him from the IS academy. I can't remember the last time Ichika interacted with a male.

The boy is getting sexually harassed, stalked, objectified on an everyday basis with no chance of escape or help from anyone.

6 Kiss x Sis

Incest anime harem! Good luck trying not to throw up by the end of this series because it becomes gross later on. Everything is just mundane from beginning to end! You don't care about the characters, you hardly remember the plot and the incest from beginning to end was just uneventful.

7 Eromanga Sensei

Read the plot summary on myanimelist and even the summary didn't even try to cover up that this would likely be an incest anime. Gross...

This was made by the same person who made Oreimo. Yeah that incest anime, well he made another one! And just like Oreimo, it was just as bad as that anime was.

8 The Familiar of Zero The Familiar of Zero is a Japanese light novel series written by Noboru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Eiji Usatsuka. It was adapted into various forms of media, including anime, manga, and visual novels. The story revolves around a young magician named Louise and her human familiar, Saito, exploring themes of romance, adventure, and magic. The series has garnered a dedicated fan base and has been influential within the "isekai" genre, where characters are transported to another world.

After the mc actually gets the main girl he keeps cheating on her all the time and kiss other girls not even on accident. And all the girls just can't respect the main couple at all and always try to get the mc forcefully. And even though she is the mc's girlfriend, she still acts like she is a normal harem member and doesn't really punish the mc for cheating.

9 High School DxD High School DxD is a Japanese light novel series written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. The series revolves around Issei Hyoudou, a perverted high school student who is reincarnated into a Devil by Rias Gremory after being killed on his first date. He later joins the Occult Research ...read more.

Why does this anime even exist in the first place?
This whole anime is generic just like every other single harem anime out there.
Issei is one the most annoying harem protagonist in this whole anime
None of the female characters ever develop and stay mostly the same throughout the story.

Tough call between High School DxD and Highschool of the Dead as to which one is worse. But in my book, they are easily taking the top two spots for the list.

Highschool dxd is better than highschool of the dead that anime screwed up a dndxd is the best an dway better than infinite startos because Ichka is very stupid and dense of knowing a girl that likes him and he doesn't realize

God, this anime is garbage.
Worst anime ever made.

10 Amnesia Amnesia is a Japanese visual novel series by Idea Factory. It was first released on August 18, 2011 for PlayStation Portable, and then a fan disc in Japan, Amnesia Later, was released on March 15, 2012. Another sequel titled Amnesia Crowd was released on April 18, 2013. They were later combined for a PlayStation Vita release titled "Amnesia Later x Crowd V Edition" on October 16, 2014.

The female main character doesn't even have a real name. She's called: Heroine. Come on! Call her Tsubaki or Aki or anything really! Her personality ranges from "I am not very interested in what's going on" to "This guy likes me...wow". The guys themselves are just one note characters that don't get enough screen time. Plus it had a very disappointing ending to me.

The Contenders
11 Rail Wars

I honestly didn't think this was going to be a harem anime. I thought this would be a genuinely enjoyable anime, especially when I read the plot summary. But sadly a harem lead is introduced and harem girls follow. I thought this anime was supposed to be about them stopping a terrorist group, not about how that pop singer fell in love with our main lead. Or how the tsundere character hates men yet still gets involved in the harem.

12 Brothers Conflict

One girl and twelve step brothers?! TWELVE romantic interests?! That's...gotta be some kind of record for the largest reverse harem ever! I could hardly keep up with their names and got so confused on what the goal of this series was. It felt less like an anime and more like an animated version of The Bachelorette. Yeah, it was that bad.

13 Boku no Pico Boku no Pico is an anime series of three OVA episodes created by Katsuhiko Takayama. It was released to DVD on September 17, 2006.

"I have been informed that this anime included hentai scenes..."
Yes, Don't watch this anime!

14 Oreimo
15 Bonjour Sweet Love Patisserie

I just finished watching this and my gosh was this generic. Hello? Main character? Personality anywhere? I swear, she was just a robot trying to convey human emotions or a blatant attempt at writing a Mary Sue. The boys weren't much better. They're all infatuated with her and none of them end up with her! Seriously, this a big problem with harem anime. The main character never gets with any of the men!

16 Sword Art Online Sword Art Online is a series of Japanese light novels written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec.
