Worst Kidz Bop Lyric ChangesKidz bop sucks, it just sucks. One reason is because they mess up the lyrics to make it kid friendly but fail.
The Top Ten
I mean Kidz Bop was fine in the first few albums but now it's just ugh! How many of them do they have now 87? Because I still have the first album of Kidz Bop ever (that I never use) weirdly enough. - Anonymousxcxc
Taking out that lyric did nothing to change the meaning of the song.
Isn't it suppose to be changing inappropriate lyrics? - DynastiSugarPop
No, the only thing you’re taking over is the contest for least talented music artist!V 4 Comments
Not just censoring those things, but cutting the entire verse about those races and different viewpoints, IN THIS SONG WHERE IT IS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THE SONG! Plus they now have "sin" censored.
Says the company that's censors queens, blacks, whites, etc.
They literally just took the song and stripped it of all meaning.
There NEEDS to be a no Green Day rule. This is just a disgrace to the music industry. - railfan99
CORRECTION: This is from Wake me up When September Ends, not Boulevard of Broken Dreams. - railfan99
This one is just stupid. And they also took out the Snoop Dogg rap
I hate Kids Bop, you losers!
How is that changed? Is it inappropriate?
Its practically the sameV 2 Comments
Kidz Bop, should Kidz Stop making songs.
This one is ridiculous. Why would you wave to the world that broke your heart?
Did this one need to be changed? At all? They censor that but allow lyrics about giving your number to strange guys.
Feel what? This sounds kind of creepier then steal. - NikoX
That's worse than steAl
Um, I don’t think stealing is as bad as...
What if it was a milkshake? Or SPARKLING WATER?
This one is stupid.
This one is beyond sarcastic commentary.
I have no idea what they’re singing about in the Kidz Bop versionV 2 Comments
No one replaces "fool" with "tool". Sort of like with Call Me Maybe, they censor the word fool but allow lyrics about starting fights and death threats.
Why are singing about death threats?
That was unnecessary
"So no one saw anything wrong with a little girl singing a song from the perspective of a scorned lover? Glad they changed this lyric. I mean, I'm fine with an 8 year old being bitter and vindictive as long as there's no bed action." -Smosh
Why bother with this one.
Why are you packing to go to a party?
Jack? What's this? Alcohol? - DynastiSugarPop
Where are you going? - BlazingParasolV 1 Comment
Seriously, Kidz Bop? What's wrong with the original lyric? This is one of THE most unnecessary lyric changes in the history of music.
They are both actions that can harm you.
A lyric change wasn't needed for this line. This one is just stupid! - EastZombie
Everybody knows what you do at the club. Why even bother with this change?
I understand why saying "sexy" may be problematic, but "hey" isn't the same amount of syllables, so it just comes across as really awkward. Why didn't they just go with "pretty lady"? That would've fit perfectly! - SquipCrow
"My love for you went wild" actually sounds way more sexual than the original lyric... - Martin_Canine
"Wild" suggests it has become more passionate (and therefore probably sexual), "viral" just says it has become bigger. - Martin_Canine
This one is just cringey.
Because HATS. There is so much shop in that song. Why do that song, Kidz Bop?
Kidz Bop changes every shop/ball pit/sisterhood reference in songs but keeps “flip your hair” in What Makes You Beautiful?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! KIDZ BOP COVERED THIS?!
It’s about exes, things kids shouldn’t be knowing about until they’re older.
What’s so bad about the original?
Kidz Bop just stop with this.
Kidz bop doesn’t allow references to owls.
The original was bad enough.
This song used to be about ballpits, but the kidz changed it to a song about partying. What is it with Kidz Bop and ball pits?
