I have to disagree. Even though this your opinion you have some of the facts wrong. Yes it is true that females lead hyena clans there's also something about if there's no female in the clan than a male takes the lead. Also I disagree with his design sucking since it actually pleases me and also helps with me head canon about Janja being Shenzi and Banzai's son. Also not to mention that he's not a bad villain it's more like a kids show isn't gonna take the risk of scaring kids with a evil villain.

Mufasa is a major character in Disney's 1994 animated feature film, The Lion King. He is Simba's father, Sarabi's mate, Scar's older brother, and was King of the Pride Lands until his death. He is voiced by James Earl Jones. I know but he always has been a terrible character. Hypocritical, completely overprotective and judgemental. He doesn't care about anyone except for Simba, and to an extent, Sarabi. These traits are not the kind of traits I would expect for a wise, loving paternal figure. He is also a dictator who forces a whole species to starve for no reason. (His dictatorship and monarchy may have been why even "good hyenas" live in the Outlands)
