Yet, the movie acts as if you are supposed to treat her like the best hero. They even name the Avengers after her, which I think kind of undermines/retcons the idea of Captain America being the First Avenger. I'd really hate it if they continue treating her almost like the most important one given that original members like Tony, Cap, Thor, etc have so much more emotional weight. Given that, why should I care about this character? Please isolate her off in her solo projects as much as possible. Also, Larson's rather naive off-screen antics are not helping this situation and instead are sending a pretty counterproductive message. She's being very preachy and rude instead of embodying the change she wants to see. She's such a dampener on the very fun and otherwise minimally controversial MCU.
