Worst Metal Albums

The Contenders: Page 2

21 Hold Your Fire - Rush

Rush is the best band ever why is this on the list?!?!

Rush is progressive rock

This is definitely metal's nightmare. This band should not have come into existence in the first place let alone bring a new album. Anyone new to come into our metal world will simply walk away if s/he listens to this band. So it should to banned. Sayonara!

This isn't metal. It sounds almost poppy. But I like it. - IronSabbathPriest

22 Slave to the Game - Emmure
23 Eat Me, Drink Me - Marilyn Manson

Not his best album by any means, but it's definitely not worthy of being labeled worst metal album. Some songs are okay on here, whereas other albums on this list have no redeemable qualities.

Marilyn manson sucks period

This isn't metal.

Marilyn Manson rules

24 Pink Bubbles Go Ape - Helloween

Not the best helloween album but no where near the worst of all time

25 The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2 - Five Finger Death Punch

This album was atrocious. When Battle Born is the single, you know you have a problem.

26 The Path of Totality - Korn

Mtv promoted this bull. These guys always sucked.

27 Theater of Pain - Motley Crue
28 Super Collider - Megadeth

This is NOT Megadeth. The Megadeth I know released the masterpiece we call 'Rust in Piece', or 'Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? '. This is just a lame excuse of music. - Zysoth

This is too low on the list

29 The Galactic Rock 'n' Roll Empire - Vondur
30 Follow the Leader - Korn
31 Nation - Sepultura
32 Metal Jukebox - Helloween
33 Painkiller - Judas Priest

Who put this masterpiece on the list. This is an amazing album.

Who ever made this this list need to get a life

Just because the soundscape on this album borders on Pantera-lite or whatever was cool and hip at the time doesn't make this a great album. Dig a little deeper and you'll find the songs are basically the same kind of fluff and virtually interchangeable with the crap that populated Turbo, Ram it Down etc..

Add the cliched cartoon lyrics to the mix and this is ridiculously bad album that doesn't deserve the credit it gets. Halford was probably ashamed of this too as he left the sinking ship soon afterwards.

Whoever thinks this is the worst metal album ever obviously has either never listened to it or have any valid claims as to why because this album is a masterpiece and its probally better than the stuff you listen to your just jealous that Priest is probally better than your favorite band is - christangrant

34 Belus - Burzum
35 Re-Load - Metallica

Metallica peaked in the 1980's and while they were always heading downhill they went in to hyper speed straight to suck on this one. Cutting their hair was irrelevant, but smearing on make up and whining like a bunch of queens ruined this band for me. My first impression when I meat a Metallica fan is that they don't know very much about music.

Only two or three good songs. Plus, the album cover looks like a butt, which is fitting because this album is was comes out of butts. - NikBrusk

That's what I thought when I saw the album cover, but it's actually Piss and Blood. - Mumbizz01

As everything released after the black album this sucks as hell!

Load is a great album, and they thought it would get more popular by just releasing Reload. This album is just a mess. - Mumbizz01

36 Demonic - Testament
37 Stridsyfirlysing - Vondur

I can't believe that someone know that band

38 Reinventing the Steel - Pantera

This album is great

I never liked this band, the singer was a generic Henry Rollins wannabe.

39 Virtual XI - Iron Maiden

How is Painkiller even on this list? It's number 2 on the greatest metal albums of all time and should be number 1 - Sabbath

This is a lot better than No Prayer for the Dying or Fear of the Dark

Blaze Bayle is an awesome singer, his solo albums are proof of that, but he and Iron Maiden don't mix well.

Yeah, this album is pretty weak. Some food tracks, but meh.

40 God Hates Us All - Slayer

This album is wicked!

It may not be the best Slayer album but this album shouldn't be up here.

Strats off really promisingly with Disciple (easily one of their best songs). Them immediately delves into the pits of awfullness with half-arsed thrash riffs and groove metal chugging galore. Makes Christ Illusion look like a masterpiece.

U suck d#ck u f#ggot hater, every song on this album has blistering solos killer drums and scary vocals that will blow u away and is as heavy as any thrash metal ever recorded, not to mention it came out on September 11.
