Top Ten Worst NFL Teams of Week 1 of the 2018 NFL Season

PackFan2005
While we did have standouts of week 1, there were some teams that underperformed to say the least. Some were utterly destroyed, and some lost by a small margin. Regardless, we’re looking at the top ten worst NFL teams of week 1 of the 2018 NFL season.

The Top Ten

1 Buffalo Bills Buffalo Bills The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area that competes in the National Football League. Buffalo Bills had the longest playoff drought of any team which came to an end in 2017.

Argh, I couldn’t even get through the highlights without cringing at Buffalo’s awful play. You may have a first rounder, but without the needed talent for a quarterback to develop, Josh Allen won’t be able to help you. Could we be looking at the NFL team who will have the worst record of 2018? - PackFan2005

2 Detroit Lions Detroit Lions The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit, Michigan. The Lions compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division. ...read more.

Matthew Stafford, I know you’re a batter quarterback than what this game showed. It’s beyond me why he threw four picks, with one of them being taken back for a score. Of course, I can’t just blame this specifically on the quarterback. The team as a whole struggled. The run game went nowhere once again, and most of the receivers struggled with dropped passes, the lone exception being Kenny Golladay. And while the defense impressed early on, they pretty much unraveled in the second half. Not a pretty game for them. - PackFan2005

3 Arizona Cardinals Arizona Cardinals The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football franchise based in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

I mean, they weren’t terrible, but struggled immensely. Sam Bradford clearly wasn’t the answer, and Josh Rosen isn’t ready for a start yet. And a measly 6 points against a league average Redskins defense is pretty embarrassing as well, given you have David Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald on offense. That issue could again because of their quarterback struggles. - PackFan2005

4 Oakland Raiders Oakland Raiders The Oakland Raiders are a professional American football franchise based in Oakland, California. The Raiders began playing in 1960 as a member club of the American Football League; they have been a member club of the National Football League since the 1970 AFL–NFL merger.

I really blame this on Jon Gruden. Sure, Derek Carr had a few picks, and the defense didn’t impress, but it’s Gruden’s fault. He made one fatal mistake. Letting go of Khalil Mack. If he had played here, Oakland would’ve had a fighting chance. He’s a game changing player, and they gave up on him too quickly. - PackFan2005

5 Dallas Cowboys Dallas Cowboys The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference East division.

Man, Dak Prescott was pretty bad, and to make matters worse, he doesn’t have his center for protection. The defense consistently struggled, but somehow only gave up 16 points. None of the receivers really impressed either. Only Ezekiel Elliot played well in this forgettable game. - PackFan2005

6 Tennessee Titans Tennessee Titans The Tennessee Titans are a professional American football team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

There couldn’t have been a worse way to start for Tennessee. Losing a couple of key players to injury, including Delaine Walker, and playing a useless 7 hour game. To top that off, Ryan Tannehill actually outplayed Marcus Mariota, which in my opinion, is kind of sad. - PackFan2005

7 San Francisco 49ers San Francisco 49ers The San Francisco 49ers are a professional American football team located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I know they played arguably the best team in the NFC, but come on. Jimmy G threw three picks, and subsequently ended his winning streak. Not a very good performance by the rest of the team either, but has room for improvement. - PackFan2005

8 Indianapolis Colts Indianapolis Colts The Indianapolis Colts are an American football team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Colts compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

I'm sorry but Colts feel more like Losers than the Browns that week Indy managed to blow the lead with 2 minutes or so left in the 4th quarter in the end. In which the defense came back to reality we all viewed them as ''unclutchable.'' - htoutlaws2012

9 New Orleans Saints New Orleans Saints The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints currently compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference South division.

I’m not saying their offense didn’t do well, but it was the defense. No sacks or picks as Ryan Fitzpatrick tore them apart like presents on Christmas. Giving up 48 points with a top ten defense is kind of strange, but they can rebound. - PackFan2005

10 Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League. Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most Super Bowls with 6 which currently stands today.

I never thought I’d be putting them here, but here they are. Ben Roethlisberger is near the point of no return, and is kind of playing like Brett Favre in his last season back in 2010. I feel sorry for anyone who had him on their fantasy team. And while James Conner impressed, they would’ve won if Le’Veon Bell played. It’s not rocket science. Nearly losing to the Browns is also pretty sad, but at least they tied. - PackFan2005

The Contenders

11 Cleveland Browns Cleveland Browns The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League as a member team of the American Football Conference North division. ...read more.

A tie is quite the improvement actually, but they still have a long way to go to truly improve. Baker Mayfield in my opinion is looking like a bust, but Denzel Ward was a pretty good pick based on what I’ve seen from him so far. - PackFan2005
