Top 10 Worst People of All Time

The Top Ten
1 Adolf Hitler Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 - April 30, 1945) was a German politician of Austrian descent who served as the leader of the Nazi Party since 1921, Chancellor of Germany since 1933, and Führer of Nazi Germany since 1934. As dictator of Nazi Germany, he reversed the Treaty of Versailles, initiated World... read more

Hitler was the worst German in history. Not only did he lead Germany into a losing two-front war, but he also sullied the name of the German people and white European pride for a long time to come.

While Hitler's ideas on eugenics, Germanic values, nationalism, fighting against degenerate social forces, defending private property against communism, and fighting the USSR may have seemed good at the time, they were ultimately misguided and destructive.

Hitler was a delusional leader who lacked the brains to back up his courage. However, he did do one thing that could be considered "great": he defended Europe against the imminent invasion by Stalin's Red Army. However, it is important to note that the German sacrifice on the Eastern Front was not in vain, as it helped to prevent a Soviet takeover of Europe.

2 Joseph Stalin Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin was a Georgian dictator, and was the leader of the Soviet Union from the mid-1920s until his death in 1953. Holding the post of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, he was effectively the dictator of the state.

Stalin is estimated to have killed approximately 20 million of his own people. While Hitler was anti-Semitic, racist, and delusional, some argue that he aimed to improve his country, Germany, particularly after the devastating effects of the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler did bring a degree of order to Germany in the late 1920s and 1930s. However, he eventually became a terrible, vile, cruel, and brutal leader. Stalin, on the other hand, killed even more of his own people, including friends and anyone he perceived as a threat to his power. In that sense, many believe Stalin was worse. His regime resulted in more deaths, often senseless deaths, than Hitler's Nazi regime, which itself was inhumane and brutal.

Stalin is also widely blamed for initiating the Great Purges in 1937 and for the collectivization movement, both of which caused immense suffering in Russia. He rose to power gradually, eliminating many contenders along the way, as well as people he suspected might try to overthrow him.

Furthermore, during World War II, Stalin was considered one of the Allied Giants, along with Winston Churchill and President Roosevelt. Because he was on the "winning side" of the Second World War, he was often viewed as a saint and a good man. Many outside Russia turned a blind eye to the atrocities he may have committed, simply because he stood against the Nazis. The focus was predominantly on Hitler as the enemy of the Allies.

Comparing Hitler to Stalin is difficult. Hitler wanted to improve his country but abused his power and held extreme beliefs about religion and race. Stalin, however, brought more terror, famine, and death to his own people than Hitler did to his enemies.

3 Mao Zedong Mao Zedong, also transliterated as Mao Tse-tung and commonly referred to as Chairman Mao, was a Chinese communist revolutionary and founding father of the People's Republic of China, which he governed as Chairman of the Communist Party of China from its establishment in 1949, until his death in 1976... read more

Let me get this right. Hitler killed 8 million, Stalin killed even more, and Mao killed around 40 million. So why is Hitler considered the bad guy? Don't think I am defending Hitler. He deserves death, hell (though all humans deserve hell, but through the grace of God, He allows us to escape it if we put our faith in His Son), and the eternal Lake of Fire that is to come. I just want to know why everyone has their attention focused on Hitler.

I would guess that it's because he was a leader, which makes sense. However, people need to look at the big picture of the slaughter that dictators have brought upon the world, not only during the World Wars but also in the present day.

4 Osama bin Laden Osama Bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was a Saudi Arabian-born stateless terrorist. He was a founder of al-Qaeda, the organization that claimed responsibility for the September 11 attacks on the United States, along with numerous other mass-casualty attacks against civilian and military targets worldwide... read more

This Islamic supremacist was responsible for 9/11 and founded the terrorist group Al-Qaeda. He was behind other terrorist attacks, ruined the image of Islam, executed people en masse who didn't agree with his barbaric version of a peaceful religion, and bombed buildings as if they were piles of garbage. I certainly hope this man experiences the most excruciating pain possible in hell. Maybe Satan would burn that beard of his.

He was a brutal dictator, yes! He was just like Saddam Hussein, yes (even using the same anthem)! He tried to implement Baathism in Afghanistan, even if it meant killing people in mass executions and conducting airstrikes against those he didn't like, yes! But under him, Afghanistan was actually thriving for the most part, with people even saying that life was better under his mostly secular government than under the modern Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

5 Pol Pot Pol Pot, born Saloth Sar, was a Cambodian revolutionary who led the Khmer Rouge from 1963 until 1997. From 1963 to 1981, he served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kampuchea.

How is Pol Pot only number 8? Trump may not be the best president ever, but he is okay and certainly not the worst. Kim Jong-un doesn't even compare to Pol Pot. Pol Pot killed millions of his own people and nearly achieved his plan to kill off 5/6 of his country. He was one of the people who contributed to the start of the Vietnam War. At least Hitler tried to improve his country (I'm not defending Hitler in any way). Pol Pot should at least be in the top 4.

Oh my lord, this guy was like Hitler, torturing people to death. Under his rule, prison guards forced prisoners to eat their feces! Damn, this guy was a bad dude, so much worse than Trump. Trump doesn't go around torturing and killing everyone around him!

6 Ivan the Terrible Ivan IV Vasilyevich, commonly known as Ivan the Terrible or Ivan the Fearsome, was the Grand Prince of Moscow from 1533 to 1547, then Tsar of All Rus' until his death in 1584. The last title was used by all his successors.

He was a human being filled with immense hate and pain, making him undoubtedly one of the worst in history. I'm less concerned with the numbers and more focused on the sheer brutality, ruthlessness, and utter lack of a soul involved in his actions.

As a child, Ivan threw puppies from towers just for fun, indicating a level of sickness that's hard to surpass. I'm ranking him high on my list because my definition of evil focuses on intent and cruelty, not merely on numbers. His reign was symptomatic of a ruling class that enabled a sick tyrant to govern and perpetrate evil acts without any justification whatsoever.

7 Heinrich Himmler Heinrich Himmler was a German dictator, and a leading member of the Nazi party. Himmler was one of the most powerful men in Nazi Germany and one of the people most directly responsible for the Holocaust.

How are Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Nicki Minaj above Heinrich Himmler? Those three are just bad music artists!

However, Heinrich Himmler was the mastermind behind the Holocaust and the one who caused the deaths of millions of people. Hitler might have ordered the killings, but Himmler was the one who carried them out.

Heinrich Himmler was the one who orchestrated the Holocaust. He killed millions of people. Adolf Hitler may have given the orders, but Himmler was the one who carried them out. He should be in the top 10.

8 Kim Jong-un Kim Jong-un (born 8 January 1983) is a North Korean politician who has been Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011 and the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) since 2012. He is a son of Kim Jong-il, who was North Korea's second supreme leader from 1994 to 2011, and Ko Yong-hui. He is a grandson... read more

Why on earth is Donald Trump ranked above this terrible excuse for a human being? Are you people insane or just really ignorant? Sure, Trump has said a few harsh things you may not agree with, but this man, Kim Jong-un, is incomparable. He is a brutal dictator who lives a life of comfort in his luxurious palace while his people freeze and starve on the streets.

Not only that, but this man and his army also execute their own people, government officials, and even his own ministers for reasons such as not hanging the portrait of the "Supreme Leader" correctly on the wall, not sitting up straight in a meeting, improper use of the internet (if you can even get access at all), and watching or accessing foreign media, among other things.

Additionally, if you try to leave this oppressive regime run by this mentally unstable tyrant, you will be shot on sight.

9 Genghis Khan Genghis Khan c. 1162 – August 18 1227, born Temüjin, was the founder and Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his death.

He killed so many people that carbon dioxide levels started to decrease. If a village didn't surrender, everyone in the village died.

Genghis Khan had about 16 million people descend from him. He technically rebuilt our population.

He was a terrible person. In school, I'm doing a biography project on him.

10 Kim Jong-Il Kim Jong-il (born Yuri Irsenovich Kim; 16 February 1941 - 17 December 2011) was a North Korean politician who was the second supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commonly referred to as North Korea from 1994 to 2011. He led North Korea from the 1994 death of his father Kim Il-sung,... read more

This dictator, like his son after him, brutally oppressed North Koreans and forced them to worship literally anything he did. Thank goodness his reign didn't last long. Who knows what he could have done if he had lived for another 10 years.

He should be more concerned about the well-being of the people and be more open-minded toward the world outside. Also, he should consider other people's opinions.

Who in their right mind would put Ivan the Terrible over Kim Jong-il

11 Vlad Tepes Vlad III (Known as "Vlad the Impaler" or "Vlad Dracula", born 1431) was a Romanian monarch. He was the ruler of Wallachia a total of three times before his death in 1476/7. He is most famous for his reputation as a dictator and his gruesome torture methods and executions, in which he has served as an... read more

Vlad Tepes, also known outside his castle for setting up thousands of stakes and skillfully impaling many people, harbored a dislike for the Ottoman Empire from a young age. Despite this, he was manipulative and managed to rise through their ranks. Modernly known as Dracula or Alucard, he is considered the first vampire. In his new domain, separate from the Ottoman Empire, he would sit on his front veranda, gaze at the impaled, unclothed bodies around him, and dip pieces of bread into blood before eating it.

When the Ottoman Empire sent a messenger to inform him that he needed to pay his taxes, the messenger was mutilated and impaled on a 5- to 9-meter pole. Although the Ottoman Empire received a letter in response, the specifics of the letter can be found elsewhere. Disturbed yet oddly fascinated, the Ottoman Empire assembled its forces and marched to Wallachia, Vlad's domain. They were horrified by what they discovered: acres of impaled bodies, more than half still alive and moaning. A battle ensued, and a plot was hatched that ultimately trapped the Ottoman Empire. Their soldiers soon found themselves impaled and elevated 5 meters above the ground. Only a coalition of forces was able to stop Vlad. While it's true that Hitler massacred many Jews, some argue that a gas chamber is merciful compared to a wooden stake.

12 Idi Amin Idi Amin Dada was a Ugandan politician and military officer. He was the President of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. Amin was born either in Koboko or Kampala to a Kakwa father and Lugbara mother. In 1946 he joined the King's African Rifles of the British Colonial Army.

Not only was he an evil dictator, but he was also a cannibal. He was racist towards Asians and slaughtered many innocent people. He even ate human flesh, which is absolutely disgusting.

The man butchered his own people arbitrarily.

People do not remember his excesses and evil.

13 Christopher Columbus Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer, navigator, colonizer and citizen of the Republic of Genoa.

Columbus’ REAL accomplishments:
- Becoming the first slave owner in the West Indies.
- Causing millions upon millions of Native Americans to die for no reason except for his greed for power, land, and wealth.
- Coining the incorrect term “Indians” for Native Americans.
- Taking credit for something he didn’t do at all (charting the Americas).

We can all “celebrate” Columbus Day by walking into someone’s house, telling them it’s your house now, then killing them. Even a day commemorating Hitler sounds more appropriate for a holiday, at least he pulled Germany out of poverty (and also killed millions of people for no reason)!

14 Benito Mussolini Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini was an Italian politician, journalist, and leader of the National Fascist Party, ruling the country as Prime Minister from 1922 until he was ousted in 1943. He ruled constitutionally until 1925, when he dropped all pretense of democracy and set up a legal dictatorship... read more

The man was as idiotic as he was ruthless. Mussolini couldn't even beat Greece in a war.

The clear example of what not to do when running a country.

Worst, along with his twin Berlusconi. Short, goofy, half-witted.

15 Donald Trump Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman, television personality, politician, and the 45th President of the United States. Born and raised in Queens, New York City, Donald J. Trump received an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968... read more

Donald Trump is the only U.S. president to attempt the defeat of free elections, the Constitution, Congress, and the Capitol. Trump engaged in rebellion by challenging certified election results and the vote of the Electoral College. When that did not work, he engaged in capital treason by ordering the January 6, 2021, attack on the United States. According to the 14th Amendment, Trump is ineligible to hold any public office in the U.S., but as of March 2023, he is running to become the 47th President of the United States. The Trump Rebellion continues in March 2023 without consequence.

16 Josef Mengele Josef Mengele was a German Schutzstaffel officer and physician in Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II.

Mengele sewed fully awake twins together back to back, removed their eyeballs and planted them into each others and shredded their genitals in an attempt to change their sex. He did that by himself without medical education, we know from survivors that the latter procedure consisted solely of him ramming a metal rod into the lower body region and violently tossing it around, even causing severe damage to the kidney. He locked people in a room and gave them nothing to eat and drink but a bucket of salt water. And he threw living people into ice water until they froze to death. All these people had names, family, feelings - robbed by the shoah.

Always keep that in mind. It all started with people that had problems and wanted someone to blame.

17 Muhammad Muhammad ibn Abdullah (570 AD - 632 AD) was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of the world religion of Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet, divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets... read more

Most Muslims have never actually read the Quran and therefore are being tricked into believing he was a good man. Muhammad was a murderer, a rapist, a pedophile (age 9), a misogynist, as well as a tyrant who ordered the execution of many men and women who spoke negatively of him. He even had a woman executed for losing her mind while a family member of hers was being executed by him! I highly recommend anyone who actually thinks Muhammad was a good man to read this.

He is a false prophet who made up his own religion. Now millions of people believe in his religion and pull people away from Jesus and the hope of salvation. Muhammad teaches men to treat women as lesser beings.

He's literally damning people to hell, denying Christ, and giving men an excuse to treat women however they please.

18 Peter Scully Peter Gerard Scully is an Australian sex offender who is serving a life sentence in the Philippines. He was convicted on one count of human trafficking and five counts of rape by sexual assault of underage girls in June 2018... read more

This person isn’t very well-known around the world, but he’s a terrible person indeed. He was the creator of the snuff film, Daisy’s Destruction, which is so disturbing that even the people who bought it were pretty much scarred. Even pedophiles think that he is evil.

Good news: He’s in prison serving a well-deserved life sentence (to be honest, he deserves a death penalty).

Bad news: He’s still alive.

Why is he not number one? At least Hitler and Stalin didn't sadistically torture children. Not even Satan is as bad as him.

19 Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette... read more

Dear people who say Bieber shouldn't be on the list,

Others here may have caused wars and harmed people, but remember, they did so believing they were serving their own people. Every villain is the hero of their own story. Bieber doesn't fit either category. He's neither a villain nor a hero. He's just a guy who got lucky and did nothing particularly constructive with his success. That, according to some, qualifies him as one of the worst people in the world. His existence is considered by some to be without significant positive impact, unlike other figures who are often disliked or considered bad.

Sincerely,
Some nobody from Earth

21 Hillary Clinton Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (born October 26, 1947) is an American politician, diplomat, and former lawyer who served as the 67th United States secretary of state from 2009 to 2013, as a United States senator representing New York from 2001 to 2009, and as first lady of the United States from 1993... read more

Who doesn't want four more years of Obama, but certainly a bit worse, even more inept and ineffective, wrapped in a completely unlikable package? Oh, right, 75% of America. So who really does want the next Obamination? Planned Parenthood, China, and people who blindly vote for a minority regardless of merit (which, after the 2008 election, feels like all Democrats), and maybe her good buddy Donald Trump. Gary Johnson 2016! (I'm usually a Republican, but by the ghosts of Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and Jesus Christ, I shall go third party in dark times.) This nation was founded on the idea of limited taxation, but Hillary wants to take our money to fund more inventive endeavors.

22 Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

Thank God he's dead. His influence over Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Israel as the mastermind behind one of the largest Islamic supremacist groups, ISIS, was indeed horrifying. The way his group members executed and tortured non-believers of Islam is too gory for me to describe.

One of the world's most evil terrorists in the 21st century. He should be higher up on the list for obvious reasons!

If this list was 100% accurate, he would be far above Donald Trump and Justin Bieber.

23 Reinhard Heydrich

Is the Nazi criminal, Holocaust mastermind, and murderer of many Czech people really followed by a singer who just produces crappy music? And is the singer really even higher than Hideki Tojo, Adolf Eichmann, Ted Bundy, etc.?

24 Judas Iscariot

Wait, he threw the silver on the ground when he got it and killed himself out of grief. He knew what he did was wrong and felt pain from it.
