A Student's Perspective on Jejomar Binay

I've been watching the TV and the news was something about Binay. Same with the newspaper, radio and even the Internet! REALLY?! DOES BINAY HAVE TO BE EVERYWHERE?! IS HE LIKE SOME NATIONAL HERO OR SOMETHING?! HE'S EVERYWHERE, YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW, AND WHAT ELSE?! WHO IS HE?!

Well, Binay is the Vice President of the Philippines so it makes sense that he's always on the news. One typical bystander would say, "Not all vice presidents get menioned much in the news!" Well, that's true, but if you'd think about it, he's so popular because of controversy. Yes, controversy! That's what's popular in our country and he's so controversial because of all these corruption charges and political dynasties. Obviously, someone would also say, "Government officials are corrupt. Most, if not all." That's not really true, but in the case of Binay, he has made a political dynasty or a soon-to-be-called 30-year-old monarchy in Makati City which would also be known as King Jejomar's Palace.

If you still think that issue isn't questionable, then I'll tell you what's more questionable... IF HE THINKS AND SAYS THAT THE CORRUPTION CHARGES ARE FALSE, THEN WHY CAN'T YOU STRAIGHT UP SAY IT AND FACE IT WITH EVIDENCES, AND NOT SAYING PREJUDICE AS AN EXCUSE?! IF YOU GUYS KNOW THAT WE BELIEVE IN WHAT THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION SAYING YOU HAVE USED THE MONEY OF THE TAXPAYERS, THEN WHY CAN'T YOU SAY THAT TO THE STUDENTS OF UPLB?! WHY CAN'T YOU SAY THAT TO EVERYONE?! YOU ARE JUST COVERING UP STUFF WITH WHAT YOU DID IN MAKATI! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU DID FOR THE NATION!

Obviously, the supporters would say that he had helped the other provinces! You know what? He only does that to campaign for president. Did you notice that he wasn't able to help his own city right before the elections?! You know where all those relief goods went? To all those sister cities of Makati. Therefore, a lot of people were discouraged and were angry at the Makati City Government. He didn't even win in his own city during his election for Vice President! He won because, as everyone knows it, he won because of the support of his sister cities and by vote buying!

So as we all listen this redundant news which sounds like a broken long play disc, many people already know what's the truth. And those UPLB students proved thst. Why would he look like he doesn't know about House Rule 252 on the Genuine Agrarian Reform in front of the students? If he was a lawyer, then why did he say that the rule was "ok" without actually understanding it? And why would he deny the fact that there are informal settlers in Makati in front of the educated youth? I believe that the UPLB students were more than prepared to criticize Binay for all these. And Binay should have answered them more accurately so the people won't really jeer at him.
