Top 10 Worst Shounen and Shoujo Anime

This list has some of the STUPIDEST shounen and shoujo anime I have ever seen. If you're a fan of these animes ,no offence. It's just from my imagination.
The Top Ten
1 Sword Art Online Sword Art Online is a series of Japanese light novels written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. In 2012, it received an anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures and the SAO Project, and is directed by Tomohiko Ito . The first season is divided into two arcs known as "Aincrad" and "Fairy Dance". ...read more.

I agree. I HATE this anime. It's crap. Gorgeous animation, sure. But horrible execution of a great idea. And it's just SO sexist! It really is the prime example of otaku wish fulfillment. I don't care if Asuna is supposedly a vice guild leader or whatever. She doesn't really do crap except with regards to Kirito and their relationship. Her character was shoved to the side to make Kirito look even MORE powerful. Not that he needs any more of that. He has got to be the biggest Gary Stu. Ever. I agree, both him and Asuna are so so annoying and stupid. What the hell is with them running off in the woods to get married and screw around, while other players are literally dying? Selfish brats! Nothing pisses me off more than two 'love birds' who don't give a crap about anyone but each other. And what happened in the Fairy Dance arc is just unforgivable. Why does this crap even exist?
Oh, and I love how Asuna's name is pronounced ASSoona.

2 Fairy Tail Fairy Tail is a manga franchise created by Hiro Mashima. The manga has been adapted into an anime series produced by A-1 Pictures and Satelight, which began broadcasting in Japan on October 12, 2009. Additionally, A-1 Pictures and Satelight have developed seven original video animations and an animated ...read more.

I actually like this and a lot of the animes in this list. And no, I don't have terrible taste in anime since most of the animes in this list are generally loved because of their good quality. And no, overrated doesn't mean bad

Lol naruto and death note are way more better than this trash tail

Trash in the name of an Animated Show

Worst rip off ever.

3 Puella Magi Madoka Magica Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a 2011 Japanese anime television series produced by Shaft and Aniplex, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, written by Gen Urobuchi, music by Yuki Kajiura, opening sang by ClariS, ending by Kalafina (sometimes by the seiyuus) and original characters by Ume Aoki.

Wait wait wait…why is this above Sword Art Online and School Days? This was the first anime I've ever seen and honestly, I fell in love with it. The grim edge to the magical girl genre was refreshing in my opinion. Sure, sometimes it was a tad formulaic, but it was great and heart-touching nonetheless.

Most of the items here are good shows. Except School Days, Sailor Moon Crystal (original is better), that Yushi show I never heard of and maybe SAO

Actually, I disagree with you, Dragontree. PMMM is like a magical girl but how magica girls end up in real life not "WE ARE GOING TO BEAT THIS ENEMY UNHARMED SAILOR MOON STYLE GR! ".-Vestalis

Also, can I be the first to point out that Madoka Magica is a seinen?

4 School Days An anime series was developed by TNK with joint production by Avex Entertainment, Lantis, Marvelous Entertainment, Pony Canyon and Jinnan Studio. The twelve television episodes of the anime aired in Japan between July 3, 2007 and September 27, 2007 on TV Kanagawa. On July 4, 2007 Chiba TV and TV Aichi also began to air the show with TV Saitama, TV Osaka and AT-X respectively picking it up a day after each other. The series has since been released in six limited and regular edition DVD volumes.

It should be first place. It's about how some pervert takes advantage of girls and get's them messed up for life. In the end, one girl dies and the other hugs the loose head of their dead boyfriend. He makes one of them pregnant and then her stomach is ripped open. The cover is stupid and just shows to generic girls with phones glued to their eyes. Basically, complete garbage.

As far as I know this isn't a magical girl anime, but is is so bad that I will vote for it anyway.

Too much violence, whiny characters and it is pure cheesy.

This should be the only item on the list.

5 Naruto Naruto is an anime and manga franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. The manga was later adapted into a television anime, which was produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex. It premiered across Japan on the terrestrial TV Tokyo and other TX Network stations on October 3, 2002. The first series lasted 220 episodes, while Naruto: Shippuden, a sequel to the original series, has been airing since February 15, 2007. In addition to the anime series, Studio Pierrot has developed eleven movies and several original video animations. Other types of merchandise include light novels, video games, and trading cards developed by several companies.

Why is Naruto this high up? Some people think it has bad animation, but when you're making 700 episodes cut them some slack! Also, the storyline is NOT boring if you actually take the time to appreciate it and understand. It faces many real world problems, like bullying, world peace, betrayal, love, and all that!

6 Sailor Moon Crystal Sailor Moon Crystal, known in Japan as Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, is a 2014 original net animation adaptation of the shōjo manga series Sailor Moon written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi and produced in commemoration of the original series' 20th anniversary.

They are too thin...

7 Dragon Ball Dragon Ball is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. It made anime popular in America and is based on the manga of the same name by Akira Toriyama. It was dubbed in English on Cartoon Networks Toonami block and still has many fans today.
8 Death Note Death Note is a Japanese television drama anime series based on the manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The show is centered around Light Yagami - a promising highschooler and aspiring detective with a strong sense of "justice".
9 Sugar Sugar Rune

I actually like this. And please look at the plot. The difference between Sugar Sugar Rune and Doremi is that DoReMi is a magical girl based on MUSIC and Sugar Sugar Rune is about SWEETS. The plot between both anime is DIFFERENT.-Vestalis

10 Kaichou Wa Maid Sama Maid Sama! is a shōjo manga series by Hiro Fujiwara. It is serialized in Hakusensha's monthly shōjo manga magazine, LaLa. There are currently 18 published volumes under the Hana to Yume Comics imprint in Japan.
The Contenders
11 Yu-Gi-Oh! Yu-Gi-Oh! was aired from 2000 to 2004 in Japan, and 2001 to 2006 in the US. It continues where the Toei Anime Left off. When 10th grader Yugi Muto solves the Millenium Puzzle, Yami Yugi emerges, taking control of him to help his friends. In Duel Monsters, they mostly played children's card games because war does not exist.

It's just bad. Even Beyblade is better than this.

12 Black Clover

This is the worst, most lazy cash grab pile of garbage ever put to screen.

13 Pitite Princess Yuushi
14 Soul Eater Soul Eater is an anime series directed by Takuya Igarashi and produced by Bones, Aniplex, Dentsu, Media Factory, and TV Tokyo, which adapts the Soul Eater manga written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo.

Very dumb and unentertaining. Not as bad as Black Clover, though.

15 Clannad Clannad is the anime adaptation of the visual novel developed by KEY for Windows PCs in 2004, which was later ported to PlayStation consoles and the Xbox 360. The game was the best-selling PC game in 2004 and charted in national top 50 rankings several more times afterwards. Clannad has been adapted ...read more.
