Listen to this (and the rest of the White Album--gotta be in context) in a dark room with headphones on and the volume cranked up, then tell me you aren't affected. It's a masterful piece of work, which I feel is unfairly criticized.
This is not the song people should listen to when they're first introduced to the Beatles.

What's this doing so high? It's a beautiful song with a great melody; I think it's underrated. Wild Honey Pie, Ob-La Di Ob-La Da, and Octopus' Garden are much worse than this.
