I've had this happen to me quite a lot actually. It's not a big deal when they're small.

Almost happened to me...

This never happened to me but it's possible. In Canada usually The Fighing Police can do this - if you have no fishing licence or did something else that wasn't allowed.

9 You lose your fishing rod

Ah this is pretty much guaranteed if you fish regularly.
