Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Consensus: There really isn't too much to say about this film. It was. Originally intended to be the first episodes of the amazing Clone wars television series. It was rushed out way to fast. It has a very silly plot. With all that being said, it has lovable characters and a charming cast of voice actors. It also has very attractive animation.

Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Consensus: Oh boy! Where to begin. Attack of the Clones has a horrible script, terrible acting on Hayden Christensens part, no friendship development between Obi Wan and Anakin, a horrible romance and did I mention the terrible wrighting. Plus there is the super weird introduction of uncle Owen. You may be wondering, "GrimmShady, if the film is this bad, why is its score so high?" That's because there are a lot of great things about this film to. Fantastic performances, particularly Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman, amazing visuals, and entertaining battle scenes and duels. I don't care what some people say, all of the light saber duels in this film are great! In spite of its many flaws I still like and enjoy this film, and will never skip over it when watching through the saga. I think that when taking into account its many wins and many fails, 59 is a good and respectable place to put it.

Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Consensus: This is one that many people will disagree with me on and that's ok. But if you ask me, Episode I may be the most overhated film in history. It gets a bad rap waaaaaaaay to often. To give you a better understanding of my opinion, let's go over the things that work and don't work. I always feel guilty when talking about this so let me get it over with; Jake Lloyd was delivered a terrible performance. People try to argue that Jake Lloyd was just a kid and with child stars it can't get much better, but I highly object. I'm not expecting an Oscar winning performance but Jake Lloyd was just annoying plain and simple. and George's weak script didn't help at all. I feel really bad for him mainly because I know he had a rough life following episode I's release, so understand that this is in no way personally attacking him. I just feel George should have chosen someone else. The racist accents of the Neiomoidians should also be mentioned. I also feel that aside from Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor, nobody delivered a very good performance. Not even Natalie Portman. Midichlorians were also a major factor in how much people disliked this movie. That being said, the good things in this film far outnumber the bad. Fantastic visuals, entertaining scenes like the pod race, and its introduction of the prequel trilogy. All in all, I give this film a major thumbs up, and believe it is worthy of 70% and a good addition to the Star Wars Saga.

Episode IV: A New Hope

Consensus: I may recieve death threats for this one, but I'm sorry, I don't think A New Hope is quite as good as people say. A New Hope is great film and one that revolutionized the film industry forever, but I feel that, especially after the release of its successors, A New Hope just doesn't stand up quite as well. It's rather boring in certain places and also has quite a few plot holes. George Lucas's CGI additions to the film are also, while sometimes enjoyable, pretty useless and dumb. That being said, this film introduced us to an amazing cast of new characters, a grand new universe to immerse ourselves in, and a timeless story of action and adventure. I declare A New Hope worth 80%.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Consensus: Rogue One may have some of the best visuals I have ever seen in a Star Wars movie...or any movie for that matter. This wonderful prequel introduced us to the story before the story. This movie helped us greater understand just how painful the Galactic civil war was. My one complaint would be that it does not establish it characters well. You really don't know anything about the characters back stories except for Jynn. Plus, her mothers sacrifice was pretty random and unnecessary. Other than that, I can't think of anything I didn't like about this film. Very entertaining all around.

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Consensus: Revenge of the Sith is not simply the best prequel, it one of the best in the saga! Mind boggling visuals and a dark story both contribute to making this a great story. This movie tells us the true birth of Darth Vader in an epic story in which evil ultimately prevails over good, something we don't get to see often in a film. It weaker points should be clear however, to anyone who watched the previous prequels. Weak dialouge, dull romance, a little too much CGI, and bad character motivations make this film a little harder to enjoy, but they together are not strong enough to stop the beast that is Revenge of the Sith. Hayden Christensen also delivers a much better performance, even if he is still a bit stale at times. It must also be noted that the final duel between Obi Wan and Anankin is breathtaking! I think that 89% is a good place to put this film.

Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Status: Fresh

Consensus: The Force Awakens really only suffers of one major flaw. It is to similar to A New Hope. Other than that, nope. No complaints here. This film boasts a jaw dropping new cast, amazing new characters for us to love, and opens up the next chapter of the Star Wars story, all with amazing visuals and incredibly realistic CGI. Very, very well done!

Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

My Score: 96%
Status: Fresh

Consensus: The epic conclusion to the original trilogy is vastly underrated. Often hailed as the least of the original three, this film feels very different from the others, and I can't put my finger on it, but I like this a lot more than A New Hope. It just has such a deep and original story. Sure the Ewoks are pretty "meh" but they're so cute and far more likable than the atrocity introduced to us in The Phantome Menace (Hint* It begins with "J" and rhymes with "Bar Bar"). There is just so much to love about this film, and this was the first time we got to see Palpatine in all of his glory. All in all, I believe that this movie is far better than people claim, and I love every second of this film.

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

L: THIS MOVIE IS SO AMAZING! I'm pretty sure that Star Wars fans almost universally agree that The Empire Strikes Back is the best in the series. If you thought that A New Hope was influential, check out its sequel! The Empire Strikes Back has one of the greatest twist endings of all time, the greatest villain, of all time, and the greatest hero of all time. And Han and Leias romance was everything that Padme and Anakin should have been. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this film. Just mind blowing!

This concludes my ranking of all of the Star Wars movies. I know a lot of people will disagree with me and that's totally ok. Im aware that I have an unpopular opinion when it comes to this, so take my rankings with a pinch of salt.
