Worst Tight Ends of the 2018 NFL Season

htoutlaws2012
There's been a ton of terrible Tight End play this season, and here are the worst of them.

The Top Ten

1 Luke Wilson Luke Wilson

No not Owen's brother, but might as well be who the Lions have because he was okay in Seattle, but an absolute non-factor in Detroit sadly that former Falcons Levine (I believe it is) far better than Luke because when his given the opportunity he rarely drops the ball why not run with him at that point? - htoutlaws2012

2 Jack Doyle Jack Doyle

A massive disappointment especially seeing how good he was the last two seasons combined, and instead Andrew Luck made former Lions Bust Eric Eborn into a superstar in his first pro bowl trip unbelievable. - htoutlaws2012

3 Jonnu Smith Jonnu Smith

Its pretty difficult to take the spot of Delanie Walker ain't it that's brutal and that shows how much the team ended up missing him since Mariota needs more weapons to work with aside from Corey Davis. - htoutlaws2012

4 Hayden Hurst Hayden Hurst

I didn't like the pick to waste a 1st round pick on an already aging Tight End who I didn't think was the best projected in the class. It shows like I fought this is like Browns drafting Brandon Weedan ages ago same idea luckily Mark Andrews had been a good player startling to emerge where he has played all his games all a healthy scratch. - htoutlaws2012

I saw Hurst as a potential bust a month before the draft. I thought Mike Gesicki and Dallas Goedert were better. Baltimore made one first round mistake before finding a gem. - PackFan2005

5 Tyler Kroft Tyler Kroft

You would think with an always hurt Tyler Eifert that Kroft would be a decent Tight End problem is he gets deactivated instead of coming to give some ope in an offense that ended up going downhill. - htoutlaws2012

6 Dwayne Allen Dwayne Allen

Granted Gronkowski is having a very bad year, Dwayne Allen has been a less contributing factor. I bet this team misses Martellus Bennett now. Dwayne Allen probably wants to go back to Indy where Andrew Luck mad him a superstar. - htoutlaws2012

Remember when New England was stacked at tight end? Boy, times have changed. - PackFan2005

7 Geoff Swaim Geoff Swaim

The starting Tight End for the Cowboys had big shoes to fill, and they were left unfulfilled as to no surprise Cowboys biggest need is arguably a Tight End getting a low end one did not work in this past years draft. - htoutlaws2012

8 James O'Shaughnessy James O'Shaughnessy

I applaud them moving on from the veteran Mercedes Lewis, but at the same time they should use there Tight Ends more you would think seeing how hurt they are at receiver. O'Shaughnessy has been targeted a few times, but should have more looks, but of course we knew what type of season Bortles would have, and you could make a case for any need on offense really. - htoutlaws2012

9 Charles Clay Charles Clay Charles Clay is an American football tight end for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League.

Like Shady McCoy, Clay has had the worst year as a pro nearing the end of his career possibly dropping a ton of balls the age is showing with this one Josh Allen needs a GOOD supporting cast around him he can't do it all by himself. - htoutlaws2012

10 Rhett Ellison Rhett Ellison

When Evan Engram was hurt for most of the second half backup Tight End Ellison needed to make some plays for a declined Eli Manning. Didn't do a whole lot, and eventually Evan came in the lineup, and the offense showed its potential without him. - htoutlaws2012

The Contenders

11 Jimmy Graham Jimmy Graham Jimmy Graham is an American football tight end for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.

Graham was largely a free agent bust who was expected to have a huge year with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback. But, he has been a nonfactor for most of the season, and yet he’s on a three year deal. Green Bay needs to draft a tight end, not sign aging ones such as Graham and Martellus Bennett. - PackFan2005
