Worst Tight Ends Entering the 2018 NFL Season

Sometimes Receivers are covered well so you need the tall tough guy Tight End to control the field guys usually dominating players that get space. However these guys either can't blocker, or just cannot catch a ball in their life to not get jeered from their own home crowd here are the worst of them all.

The Top Ten

1 Tyler Eifert Tyler Gregory Eifert is an American football tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League.

Eifert had that one really great season a few years back, but now in 2018 he looks to be damaged goods his not the same guy, and Tyler

Kroft may end up starting next season in 2019 I wouldn't be surprised. - htoutlaws2012

2 Austin Hooper

This guy had so much promise early in the season he had that one game, and didn't do anything after that why is that? I have to put him here because how can somebody go from week 1 to than nothing the rest of the way and also end up healthy that entire season. Hooper could bounce back, but I'm not sold on that, but my #1 is the opposite of Hooper. - htoutlaws2012

3 Eric Eborn Eric Ebron is an American football tight end for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League.

Luckily his a backup and not a starter if he was he'd be #1. Don't be fooled yes he came alive towards the end of the season, but his nothing, but inconsistent stone hands written all over it glad his gone, and now most likely won't shine in Indy because its Jack Doyle's time. - htoutlaws2012

4 Jordan Reed Jordan M. Reed is an American football tight end for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League.

I'm denying he can be a good Tight End in this league, but man his slowly turn into a player made of glass like seriously since his best standout season he has been hurt, hurt, & hurt all the time Vernon Davis is a go #2 even late in his career. Interesting re-union there for Alex, and Vernon even that could be a sleeper combo seeing that Jordan Reed is in a weird position this year what his role is going to be. - htoutlaws2012

5 Jesse James

No not that the infamous outlaw the Tight End who is gonna be remembered as the guy that should of had that touchdown against New England. That's his only shining moment he could of had, and I can't see him being used as much than that this season considering this could be the end for Big Ben if he can't do it again. - htoutlaws2012

6 Hayden Hurst

A 25 year old Tight End if this guy isn't good immediately you really have problems blocking, and going to Hurst. I'm actually pulling for their backup plan in Mark Andrews. - htoutlaws2012

7 Luke Wilson

Not the forgotten Wilson in movie acting, but the backup Tight End when Jimmy Graham was with Seattle,
and now his with Detroit to be in a committee pretty much. I guess I'll take three guys over one player I'm glad we got rid of in the off-season. - htoutlaws2012

8 David Njoku

In his first year he wasn't that impressive somewhat inconsistent, I do like the Darren Fells pickup who can step up when your #1 is doing a terrible job at catching a football Ebron which will get to, and potentially Njoku if he slips up again Fells give them some hope to get a touchdown in the end zone. - htoutlaws2012

9 Tyler Higbee

Higbee I believe is their starter at that position even if he is his used very little thus he does need to be on here since his more of a blocker than a catcher base don the little he does for Goff try to try attempt in his zone. - htoutlaws2012

10 Rico Gathers

I am not totally positive who the starting Tight End is for the Cowboys, but they have to be dead last in that area for sure. I can't see Dak getting open space to his guy when he has no where else to go with one of the worst receiving crops in the league on paper. - htoutlaws2012
