Worst Tony Hawk Games

htoutlaws2012
Awe Tony Hawk games were once a golden child of Activision. A new appeal of brand comes in and out with the old, and in with the hip crowd of what they latch onto. Yet these are the 10 that ended up being the least convincing to defend.

The Top Ten

1 Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5

Quite simply the nail in the coffin of the series. Things cannot be said at how truly awful, and shockingly bad this game truly was. Of course learning from all the other robomodo made games we should of known this be the king of the crapper collection. - htoutlaws2012

The most embarrassing thing about it was that the first patch was larger than the actual game itself - Mcgillacuddy

The game wasn't even completed when released and it really shows. - egnomac

It could of been amazing. But nope. - B1ueNew

2 Tony Hawk Shred

Apparently Ride had just enough copies of the horrendous reception, and the sequel Shred was almost no different and made zero adjustments. The same thing for the most part aside from snow levels very unplayable. - htoutlaws2012

3 Tony Hawk Ride

A motion controller Tony Hawk game this sounds like a horrible idea, and what makes it more horrible they put the motion not just the Wii at worst they also put it on the PS3 and 360, and as you would expect this game was heavily panned for how delayed the motion sensors were in this game, but wait it gets even worse... - htoutlaws2012

4 Tony Hawk Downhill Jam

Can you believe Tony Hawk wanted his series to look more like this? Indeed what really Tony, pretty much this game is way different from the rest you have generic characters, and Tony Hawk battle it out to get 1st place does this sound familiar ever play the SSX series because that's pretty much that game without the winter experience of it. - htoutlaws2012

5 Tony Hawk's Motion

A tilt controlled based game, and while the DS it is harder to master that type of control it just doesn't work here. At least American Sk8land functions properly to a certain extent, but this one good luck getting one big giant combo without being frustrated tilting just the slightest way possible. - htoutlaws2012

6 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD

Talk a masterpiece let down, recreating the first three title, and make them by another developer was the beginning of an even bigger tragedy to come, but yes you play pretty much the story of 1 and 2, and play only three levels from the 3rd game downloadable purchase talk about incomplete disappointment. - htoutlaws2012

7 Tony Hawk's Shred Session

In essence it never had a full release, but a demo for those who did try it out, and that can't seem like a good idea constantly pushing on your phone to grind is gonna give the player pretty good fatigue to master this combo of sorts. - htoutlaws2012

8 Tony Hawk's Proving Ground

This was Neversoft's final title in the series at a very low point in their time seeing that the series was fading away it seemed like in the year 2007 the bar was set pretty high, and there was nothing really that new in the game itself. My assumption would be they got canned from doing the games because of the rise of SKATE, and Guitar Hero. - htoutlaws2012

I actually liked this one. In my opinion, this was the last good Tony Hawk game. The next gen versions i’m talking about, the last gen versions of the game suck.

9 Tony Hawk's American Sk8land

While there are other versions of great Tony Hawk titles this one was a different game on its own, and while it's better than another handheld counterpart higher up its still one of the weaker selection in the franchise. - htoutlaws2012

10 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 (PS1)

Nothing really bad per say, but compared to the upper console versions much more fun than this one that's basically running on the THPS 2 engine which isn't bad, but that's pretty repetitive to have for a console that had started to die out since many had a PlayStation two at this point in the year 2002. Oh and there's no interacting with people either like the other version has which was innovative. - htoutlaws2012

There was really no point in porting Tony Hawk 4 on the PS1 especially since most people at that time had moved on towards the PlayStation 2. - egnomac
