Top 10 Worst Video Game Developers

The Contenders: Page 4

61 Reto-Moto

This company does not listen to their community and do not balance anything. Instead, they add more and more and make things look fancy instead of fixing crucial things. They add what they want despite the communities likes and dislikes. They take your money but do not finish or make the game better, It has been in Beta for 2-3 years with minimal updates and it has actually gotten worse. Reto-Moto should be No. 1!

Professionals in wasting of good ideas and defrauding of their game community

Only solvable with a bullet to the head of every member.

Just terrible developers!

62 Cypronia

Known for making knock-offs of popular mobile phone games like -- Cake Ninja which is their attempt at Fruit Ninja and currently they have released Angry Bunnies, which has some of us cringing enough that it's another Angry Birds. Though we acknowledge 3DS has more than just one demographic but AG was way too overpriced.

They've improved a little since they released Color Zen however, Color Zen Kids is overpriced. Though serious it doesn't excuse the mediocre knock-offs.

I liked cube life, they are a very open company

63 Quantic Dream Quantic Dream Quantic Dream SA is a French video game developer based in Paris, France, founded in 1997. The company also supplies motion capture services to the film and video game industries.

Not really I mean heavy rain was good. The others aren't bad there okay. - htoutlaws2012

64 Riot Games Riot Games

They can't program... I would guess their GAME DEV team is 95% artists and 5% Programmers who just started their game development programming... How hard is it to fix your Hit radiuses.

65 Wargaming Wargaming Wargaming Public Co Ltd is an international game developer and publisher headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The level of these guys do to make a quick buck at the expense of their players is only surpassed by how much more they would do if it wouldn't mean immediate suicide for their company.

Will ruin the gameplay by introducing pay to win vehicles and do nothing to change anything about them, after deeming them OP.

Ultra fun gameplay in WoT, as soon as you don't run on a derp tank while in a scout

Trash devs

66 Gameloft

What can be said here? Ridiculous microtransactions, check. Mobile ripoffs of other games, check. Licensed games that are clones of their other games(with gameplay ripped off from other publishers), check. And of course the games that are supposedly free to play but require payment to proceed beyond a certain point, especially ones aimed at getting small children to run up big purchases on their parents accounts...

Pay to win rip offs of other great games. Gameloft, more LIKE GREEDloft! 🖕

67 Bungie Bungie Bungie, Inc. is an American video game developer located in Bellevue, Washington, United States. The company was established in May 1991 as Bungie Software Products Corporation by University of Chicago undergraduate student Alex Seropian, who later brought in programmer Jason Jones after publishing more.

Destiny is the worst game. First, the game feels kind of rushing out to get money. Characters are not shock when shot, maps are limited and repeated. Different weapons in same kind has no appearance differences. The expansion even worst that it change nothing but shorten the signature skills and call it new game mode. Feeling that Bungie is not trying to do a good game but just capture some cash

I think that's the point, they don't want people cheating *Glitching*

They made some of the best games of all time, so get them off the list.

They fell off with Destiny. Honest to God it should get worst game ever made. Over priced dlc that consist of a pay to win gimmick. RNG is such a joke. And the balance in the crucible is horrendous. There are literally hundreds of guns to use but the same 4 are constantly abused and people would rather use their spammable abilities overy their primaries. And on top of that, the Destiny 2 beta is already failing.

68 Hi-Rez Studios Hi-Rez Studios

Why are these guys even here?
They released smite which is a good $30 games if you bought the gods pack, the rest are just cosmetic which doesn't even matter

Hi-Rez is notorious for neglecting their own games. But since I haven't actually played any of those smaller games I'll focus on Smite. Smite is not a bad game, in fact it's probably the best MOBA right now - if you can even get it to start, by some miracle of the gods. Even with Smite as their primary priority, the bugs keep coming and they don't stop coming. Every patch seems to create a dozen more. At least you do get responses for your support tickets - most (if not all) of them automated replies.

Overall, Hi-Rez is one of those corporations that are too ambitious. At this current stage, they've bitten off more than they can chew and they're choking to death on it.

I only play smite. And I really wonder how the game is up yet. Always has a lot of bugs after patches. The game is down at least once a week and sometimes more than that. They do give free in-game money (gems in smite) but for a good event you need to spend more than 40-50 euros at least to buy skins and extra stuff.
They have made chests which you randomly get something and you need to pay for it (If I want to play joker I will let you know, thank you.)
If there is a crash in the game and you have a quest, the game kicks you out, bans you and you don't get the quest as well.

After that. Paladins cannot be uninstalled from your pc for some reason.

This company has become very expensive and amateur while it used to be a good one. Too bad...

71 Cryo Interactive Cryo Interactive Cryo Interactive Entertainment was a French video game development and publishing company founded in 1992, but existing unofficially since 1989 as a developer group under the name Cryo.

Infamous game developer who make terrible adventure games.

This French game developer are infamous for their horrible adventure games. some examples of games published by Cryo include Frank Herbert's Dune, Dreams to Reality, Hellboy: Dogs of the Night, Aliens: A Comic Book Adventure, Virus: Is it Aware, Asterix & Obelix Take on Ceasar and a boatload of Universal Pictures licensed games. They have made some good games such as the Atlantis series and a Woody Woodpecker 3D platformer for the PC and PlayStation 2, but most of Cryo's library is garbage. Stay away from their games at all costs.

If you find a game with their logo on, Stay away. This company makes nothing but garbage games such as Asterix & Obelix Take on Ceasar, Hellboy: Dogs of the Night and Frank Herbert’s Dune.

73 Overkill Software Overkill Software Overkill Software is a video game developer founded in 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden by Ulf Andersson, Bo Andersson and Simon Viklund, formerly founders and owners of Grin.

First they added 100 bucks worth of DLC, now they added P2W microtransactions, although they told us, we would be crazy thinking that they would ever do that. The storm of the community is being ignored.

74 Kemco Kemco Kemco Corporation is a Japanese video game developer and publisher established in 1984 as a subsidiary of Kotobuki Engineering & Manufacturing Co., Ltd., located in Seika, Kyoto, Japan.

Its like Kemco doesn't even know gaming - tranhotwheel04

You know what's funny these guys are still making games and are not defuncted yet they have made some of the worst games I've ever played - htoutlaws2012

I loved Kemco! Sure, they made Batman: Dark Tomorrow, the Bugs Bunny games and Daikatana, but they made good games too! Just to name a few...
Dragon Wars; the NES ports of Deja Vu, Shadowgate and Uninvited; Rescue: The Embassy Mission; Kablooey! ; the Top Gear series; Phalanx; Kid Klown in Crazy Chase; Dragon View and Stone Protectors.

75 Appalossa Interactive Appalossa Interactive Appaloosa Interactive was a corporation, founded in 1983 in Hungary, that produced numerous console games, computer programs and TV-commercials during the 1980s and 90s.

They ruined one of my favorite Konami Franchises, Contra.

76 Tiertex Design Studios Tiertex Design Studios

They made arcade ports to computers very badly.

If you want a good failure in game design, then look no further than A Bug's Life for the GBC. It's always a bad sign when the unlicensed version looks and sounds a lot better than the original game.

78 Big Red Button Big Red Button

They shouldn't of even existed before they made a single game. They didn't make a single game until they picked their prey, which was SEGA. So they made one of the worst games ever, Sonic Boom on purpose to kill the Sonic Franchise, which was one of SEGA's most popular franchises.

An unpopular video game company who never made a game for at least 6 years until they developed their first game which is Sonic Boom:Rise of Lyric.

So they made Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric... and that's about it... Who's idea was it for Sega to give the Sonic license to them anyways?

Big Red Button gets unneeded hate, it was Sega's fault that Sonic Boom ended bad, because they didn't told BRB that this game needs to be on Wii U

Where you can't save in the middle of class trials that are an hour long or even longer. Literally the worst saving mechanic ever in gaming history. Just watch the anime if you want to go through it. The anime is miles better than the games. - SelfDestruct
