Top Ten Worst Words and Phrases to Hear During Specific Types of Sentences

The Top Ten

1 But (in an Apology)

When somebody says "I'm sorry, but...", that makes me really mad. It shows that the person doesn't care that they hurt your feelings or made you mad. It isn't really even an apology at all if you say but in it. Plus, it doesn't hurt just to apologize. One time some people were mad at me for a reason I didn't know, so I just said that I was sorry and everything's back to normal now. - RalphBob

2 Stop (in a TheTopTens Comment)

If somebody says something such as "Stop hating on that show. It is awesome" they are pretty much saying "Stop sharing your opinions on this opinion based site. Only my opinion counts." - RalphBob
