Worst YouTube Channels of 2016

2016 has been a year where a lot of channels have turned to clickbait and drama for views, but who did the worst job this year?
The Top Ten
1 DanTDM Daniel Robert Middleton (born 8 November 1991), better known online as DanTDM (formerly TheDiamondMinecart), is a British YouTuber and gamer known for his video game commentaries. His online video channels have covered many video games including Minecraft, Roblox and Pokémon.

Let's face it, the beloved Minecraft YouTuber. The infamous, family-friendly user who brought joy to us in the last few years really flopped in 2016. Not only did he put Minecraft to a halt, he chose ROBLOX as his next big thing. I honestly see this as a bad move that is going to damage his more mature (not acting like kids) fanbase, since the games he typically plays are more on the tycoons and obby side of ROBLOX. I hope he can somehow make his way to becoming a favorite like he once was.

He's an talentless hack who manipulates kids for money. I don't usually promote suicide but it's the only way he can atone for all the damage he's done.

Bad but not the worst, there is another Dan much more pandering...

What! DanTDM is awesome!

2 PewDiePie Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg (born October 24, 1989), better known by his online alias PewDiePie, is a Swedish web-based comedian video producer, and commentary channel. He is best known for his Let's Play commentaries and Vlogs on YouTube. He is known for being the most subscribed-to YouTuber on the website for nearly 6 years, even though T-Series surpassed him and now has 240 million subscribers. As of March 2023, PewDiePie has over 111 million subscribers. ...read more.

You have probably seen this guy at the top of thousands of lists, but honestly, 2016 was a bad year for him. Less gaming, and more clickbait has been shot out. Honestly, if Pewds were to go back into gaming, and calm down his fans. He could rebound into YouTube.

There is worse channels than Pewdiepie, I don't watch him and even I know there are worse out there.

3 MatPat The Game Theorists is a YouTube channel that centers around gaming. They have shows such as Game Theory, The Science of, Sidequesting and Digressing, Crossover, Game Change, Culture Shock, and A Brief History.

The host is Matthew Patrick, who is also a theater kid. They're known for a plethora of theories ranging from Five Nights at Freddy's theories to anything and everything in between. The... read more

Ok, a few good theories have come out this year, but like many others, clickbaiting and cherry picking have gotten to him. A lot of this new theories exclude facts that could disprove this theory. I know multiple people are going to bring up "It's just a theory" but honestly, MatPat doesn't live up to that phrase. Often ignoring or deleting any content that can disprove what he says.
Don't get me started on the fans. They are 60% of what ruined this channel's seemingly bright future. Fans have been trying even harder to shove a theory down your throats, then saying "It's just a theory" mockingly when you attempt to disprove what they believe to be fact.

More crap theories which don't make any sense, I'm good with interesting theories but...these theories are garbage.

4 MattyB Matthew David Morris (born January 6, 2003), better known as MattyB or MattyBRaps, is an American singer, rapper, and dancer who launched his career by gaining notoriety from YouTube, posting remix videos of popular music.

Ya know, I hate kid YouTubers. Not because of their age, but because any kid who gets famous, is almost always pretty dumb. Matty is no exception. Most of his fanbase is little girls who find him "hot". Plus, how can they listen to how bad his raps are. If you can even call it rapping.

I forgot he even existed.

5 LeafyIsHere Calvin Lee Vail (born August 18, 1995), known online as LeafyIsHere or simply Leafy, is an American former YouTuber and former Twitch streamer who, from the years 2011 to 2017, and 2020, made reaction, drama, and gaming videos, but is mostly known for commentary.

Leafy is infamous for bleach jokes, and making fun of kids. He doesn't have a higher position because those channels up there are what he can make fun of.

I remember when he made decent content before making every video the same : Clickbait and cancer.

6 FUNnel Vision

Oh yes. This channel has been horrid from the start, and 2016 was not one bit different.
They might have gotten older, but that doesn't mean they are any more intelligent. They still use the thumbnails which make you think you are going to be watching an MLG Montage. FGteeV hasn't been any better. They still produce horrible Chase moments. The only time I can look at is is when it is the mom and Lex, who actually can be mature. The boys in the family, on the other hand, live up to how a young girl can see a boy, simply dumb. Not to say their IQ is any lower than Trump's Wall, but they are very immature, and have little humor (or none at all).
On to my most hated one, DohMuchFun. I already hate Chase enough from their other 2 channels, but then you have to give him his own channel. Funnel Vision, I know you know Chase makes views. If you haven't noticed, Chase is their number one star, the money maker. They give Chase a channel of his own, then leave Mike and Lex to SHARE a ...more

7 PopularMMOs

They've lost that charm that they used to have. Pat and Jen try too hard to be funny nowadays. They've gotten annoying and their content has gone down the trash bin.

To be honest, I like this channel. A lot. But 2016 wasn't the best for them. They just lost a lot of their flare, and content began to feel cloned.

8 EthanGamerTV

Oh would you look at that! A child on YouTube.
Ethan's sub rate seems to have slowed down, and his content, like a lot of these people's has seemed to be less entertaining or new. Plus, he is just really idiotic, and I feel bad that he lost his childhood to fame. (Don't be a child star you guys! )

9 Screen Rant Screen Rant is a digital media company primarily known for its content focusing on movies, TV shows, and video games. I HATE THIS CHANNEL WITH A PASSION!, It's SO PAINFUL!, They Upload The same CRAP OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

The Contenders
11 EvanTubeHD Evan Moana, better known online as EvanTubeHD, is an American YouTuber who showcases toys and gadgets on this channel, as well as doing challenges and science experiments.

How many kids have flunked YouTube in 2016 I ask? A whole lot, darling.
EvanTube has gotten MORE annoying and LESS cute. Need I say more? (He was never cute)

12 SuperMarioLogan Logan Thrityacre, (born in Florida 1994-) also known as SuperMarioLogan, is an American YouTuber and puppeteer, who makes YouTube videos with puppets and plush dolls.

This guys isn't THAT terrible, but any stuffed animal content gets old.

Grown man playing with mario plushes.

13 DramaAlert Daniel M. Keem (born March 8, 1982), better known by his online alias Keemstar, is an American YouTuber, podcaster, and streamer. A controversial figure, he is best known for being the host of the Internet popular culture news show DramaAlert, a source for news within YouTube. He is also one of the founding members and hosts of the Baited Podcast.

This guy is always falsely exposing popular YouTubers but when he get exposed he can't take it.

More like mid 2016 the isn't a problem anymore.

14 RiceGum Bryan Quang Le (born November 19, 1996), better known as RiceGum, is an American YouTuber and rapper, best known for his diss tracks and online feuds with other YouTube personalities. Since creating his YouTube channel, his channel has received over ten million subscribers and over two billion video views.

Pretty much all of these channels have been around longer than 2016.

15 iHasCupquake
16 FouseyTube
17 Mother's Basement
18 AmandasChronicles
19 BatvirGaming
20 GradeAUnderA
21 VanossGaming Evan Fong, is a Canadian internet personality and video game commentator with 24 million subscribers. He is best known under his online pseudonym VanossGaming, where he posts montage-style videos on YouTube.

Like we could make a list of bad youtubers without the talent-less version of the jackass crew.
A pack of scrawny whites Screaming/Yelling/Or Cursing at the top of their lungs whenever something happens overlapped with stock video editor music. I know this channel's for kids and all but that's not an excuse to be a have no talent.
Even gold diggers are too annoyed to bang one those hacks.
