Best Young Justice Characters

The best members of the team from Young Justice and Young Justice Invasion.

The Top Ten

1 Nightwing Dick Grayson is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with Batman.

He is the best member plain and simple

The best ever but Dick Grayson was a better robin than Tim drake in my opinion.

I preferred him as Robin. I loved when he would laugh in battle! I like Nightwing too but I wish we could've seen more of him as Robin before he had to grow up and lose that childish side. - NerdBunny

He is a great leader, eternal optimist, and skilled combatant as well as being the best acrobat in the DC universe. Really...he's just all around awesome!

2 Kid Flash Kid Flash is the name of several fictional characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics.

he's cool

Wow, I'm surprise he isn't first cause he deserves it.

Kid Flash is THE BEST! He's funny, gorgeous, and can run really fast. He cares for the people close to him, and is always there for his friends. He listens to the team and really makes the show amazing!

Kid flash should be at the top, he is what makes the show interesting, he is funny and kind, although he wanted to be chosen as their leader at the beginning, and his is also powerful, there are only 4 members that are more powerful than him and thoes members are MISS MARTIAN, SUPERBOY, ZATANNA, IMPULSE, he is more powerful than the rest and most of all he sacrificed himself for the team and the world, I think he should be at number 1

3 Robin

Robin is the best. He is so funny. He might not have powers but his gadgets are really cool. His personality is detective funny cool all in 1

Robin was awesome from being mature to immature and bouncing off of people. he was a boss and didn't need superpowers cause he wrecked face

I like season one robin but I don't know which one this is

4 Artemis

I just love her! She made a really big effort to be in the team. She deserves it. I love her personality and her relationship with wally. She is an inspiration.

Kid Flash and Nightwing ranking ahead of Artemis is partially due to the popularity of the character
Don't get me wrong,Nightwing is my favorite character from DC
But Artemis got the most meaningful backstory and growth
She fights to stay under the light despite her complicated family
She has no superpower but fight fearlessly alongside Zatanna,Wally,Connor,M'gann and Kaldur
Whom all have their own marvelous power

I enjoyed learning about her family dynamic and watching her face those issues. Also, her and Kid Flash's relationship was one of the best to watch unfold. - NerdBunny

She is the best character with the best backstory and the best episodes all the best episodes come from her like home front insecurity and depths

5 Aqualad Kaldur'ahm is one of two fictional superheroes codenamed Aqualad in stories published by DC Comics. The character was created by Brandon Vietti, Greg Weisman and Phil Bourassa for the television series Young Justice, and voiced by Khary Payton.

I really like how non stereotypical he is as a hero. Few other heroes could be so cool, powerful, charismatic, intelligent, et al, and on top of that humble! Some people call him bland but I totally disagree. His calm demeanor is a necessary one for the show, team, and even himself. He is not flawless as he was unconfident in season 1 and in season 2 he was conflicted with his dad. The fact that he is also an original character for the show amazes me. He is handsome too, but I liked his personality immediately/faster. He is a perfectly imperfect character to me

It amazes me that after two months he was able to become a good leader for a big crime fighting team. I know in the comic books they say he went to the military and stuff but I only count the show for the show.

Even as the "villain" he's the best leader. His command is absolutely absolute.

Sick lad. The aquatic powers well thought

6 Superboy Superboy is the name of several fictional characters that have been published by DC Comics. These characters have been featured in five ongoing Superboy comic book series.

Superboy is awesome, though he's a bit underpowered. No flight, no heat vision, not even that strong.
Worst of all though, no tactile telekinesis.
I like him & m'gann. SuperMartian. (for the most part)

I enjoy how his character is so different from Superman. They gave him his own personality and identity even though he was created to replace Superman should the need arise. His gruff and moody nature balance the other characters' quirky and calm personalities. - NerdBunny

He is a little OP.

Superboy is the best but the only part where I don't like about him is when he uses those stupid stickers that Lex Luthor gave him

7 Impulse

A breath of fresh air for the show. Impulse adds a lighthearted element that the show started to lose. But he also adds a looming danger when you see why he's journeyed to the past. I really like his storyline and his interactions with Blue Beetle. Impulse's quirky attitude and cunning nature is great. He acts so innocent and fun loving but underneath he's got a serious side because his whole mission to the past is to prevent humanity's enslavement. And he is so loyal to Blue too when he could have ratted him out he didn't. Bart gave him a chance to try and fix what goes wrong and they end up with a very strong friendship when they could've easily been enemies instead. - NerdBunny

Bart has a sweet heart and a quirky sense of humor that just makes the show better! His relationship with Blue Beetle is fantastic to watch and his loyalty is unrelenting!

Long live Jason Marsden for his voice performance! - OnyxDash

8 Miss Martian

She's is my favorite in young justice. I hope she and super boy have great moments in season 3.

Shes funny and just clumsy at times her and superboy are a match made in heaven and I can't believe they broke up
Her lagoon boy don't suit at all

9 Batman Batman aka Bruce Wayne is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics #27. In film, he has been portrayed by Lewis Wilson, Robert Lowery, Adam West, Michael more.

Batman is always the best on every show he is on. No one could ever be better than batman

He is Batman

10 Zatanna Zatanna Zatara is a fictional character, a comic book superheroine in the DC Comics universe. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Murphy Anderson, Zatanna first appeared in Hawkman #4.

I can't believe she wasn't added she is so great and she and robin are the best

I wish she would've been on the show more. They definitely needed more female heroes and I would've liked to see more magic from her. - NerdBunny

She is more powerful than you realize! Come on if you read the comics and watch the show then you will agree that she is wicked cool!

The Contenders

11 Vandal Savage
12 Blue Beetle Blue Beetle is the name of three fictional superheroes who appear in a number of American comic books published by a variety of companies since 1939.

Blue beetle is definitely one of my favourite characters in young justice because, well he is way cooler than the first blue beetle!

I like his futuristic suit and he is the 3rd strongest on the team

He’s my child and I will fight you if you say otherwise.

13 Lex Luthor Alexander "Lex" Luthor is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.
14 Beast Boy Beast Boy is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, usually as a member of the teams Teen Titans and Doom Patrol. Created by writer Arnold Drake and artist Bob Brown, he first appeared in The Doom Patrol #99.

After ruining this character in that joke of a show Teen Titans Go, they put him in Young Justice, and at least in this version he isn't some stupid 8 year old.

One of the best versions of Beast Boy to date! "Noted"

15 Red Arrow

Speedy was better than red arrow but still amazing

16 Batgirl Batgirl is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, depicted as female counterparts to the superhero Batman.

The batgirl I like is Barbera

17 Wonder Girl
18 Jade Nguyen

I love Cheshire! She’s just so cool and I love her relationship with Artemis. They balance each other out but deep down, they still love each other. Unlike sports master, Jade genuinely was distraught when she thought Artemis was dead and wanted to avenge her. And lol I’ve been shipping her and red arrow forever! Love this anti-hero

19 Black Canary Black Canary is a fictional superheroine in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by the writer-artist team of Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino, the character debuted in Flash Comics #86.

Badass lady, I mean who wouldn't like her? I need to explain?

20 Damian Wayne Robin

Umm... I don't even think he is in the show

He's alright but not as good as Robin Tim Drake

He is not in the show... still amazing though

Ok now people are just adding random heroes that aren't even on the show right now. Who knows though because he might end up on it in the 3rd season when it finally gets released but until then I don't think it's fair to have him on the list. - NerdBunny

21 Speedy

He had one of the best arcs in the show and played one of the most major parts

22 Klarion the Witch Boy

Dude, I can't believe it's not butter-I mean-Klarion isn't on the post up until me. This one quote proves he is hilarious: "Don't be pouty, I invented pouty"

23 Flash The Flash is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. His first appearance was in October 1956 and was created by Robert Kanigher. His main ability is super speed through the Speed Force and can run at speeds exceeding light.

30 Cheshire

31 The Joker The Joker is a fictional super villain created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson who first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book Batman (April 25, 1940) published by DC Comics. Credit for the Joker's creation is disputed; Kane and Robinson claimed responsibility for the Joker's design, more.

The Joker is undeniably the most complex character. The Joker has been amazingly interpreted in many shows and movies and his appearance in young justice is one of his best. The connection he has to batman, nightwing, and robin makes him a vital part of the series. The fact that him killing Jason Todd is canon can open up the red hood arc to the new third season. This will again reintegrate the Joker as a major part of the show. The Joker may not have powers but he still manages to create a lasting impact on the season. I love the Joker and I love him on this show."

32 Red Hood The Red Hood is an alias used by multiple fictional characters and a criminal organization appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.

Red Hood is not on the show yet but he will be in the new season three. This is hinted by the death of Jason Todd. I love Red Hood

33 Krypto

Krypto is on the show. Do not delete this post. Krypto being Supermans dog and Wolf being Superboys connects the two characters. This helps bond the characters in Superboy's mind as he tries to be like Superman. Kyrpto is a big part of this.

34 Shazam Captain Marvel, also known as Shazam, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Artist C. C. Beck and writer Bill Parker created the character in 1939. Captain Marvel first appeared in Whiz Comics #2, published by Fawcett Comics.

Shazam has just always made me feel happy to watch. His way of acting as a kid(hello Jason, he is a kid) always makes me happy. The episodes when he was watching over the Young Justice team were my favorite episodes. I feel like his powers are also rival to supermans. His powerful abilities and boyish nature makes him my favorite character in the Young Justice series. I also like his nemesis Black Arrow(I would have loved to see more dynamic between these two on the show, maybe in season three) because of his backstory and diversity. - Jason_Todd

35 Martian Manhunter The Martian Manhunter is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Joseph Samachson and designed by artist Joe Certa, the character first appeared in the story "The Manhunter from Mars" in Detective Comics #225.
