Top 10 Zootopia Easter Eggs/References
This is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. What makes it so great is all the humor that they include. The humor doesn't just come from animal puns, but also from the references and hidden easter eggs they throw in here.In this hilarious scene, Duke Weaselton is selling bootleg DVDs like Pig Hero 6 (Big Hero 6), Wrangled (Tangled), and Wreck-it Rhino (Wreck-it Ralph). He also sells unreleased movies such as Meowna (Moana), Giraffic (Gigantic), and Floatzen 2 (Frozen 2).
Not much to say about this scene. It's just very funny.
Two sheep work in a meth lab and their names happen to be Walter and Jesse. Coincidence? I think not!
Who doesn't love to listen to famous artists like The Beagles, Hyena Gomez, and Kanine West? And who can forget Disney classics such as Let it Goat, Part of Your Wool, and Can You Feed the Lion?
There are many references to popular stores, but this made me laugh the most.
There are many references to the highest grossing animated movie. Two baby elephants are dressed as Anna and Elsa, a character's name is Duke Weaselton (who happens to be voiced by Alan Tudyk), and there is a store called Han's Pastry Shop. Also, Chief Bogo makes a reference to the movie by saying "Life isn't some cartoon musical where you sing a little song and your insipid dreams magically come true. So let it go."
I didn't notice this when I saw the movie, but in Chief Bogo's office, he has a calendar with a picture of San Fransokyo on it.
I saw the picture too
I'm guessing Disney stores exist in this movie's universe. A hippo can be seen pushing a stroller and on the bottom of it, a Mickey Mouse doll can be seen.
When Nick and Judy are in the naturalist club, a genie lamp can be seen. This may take a few viewings to notice.
The name of the missing otter is Emmet Otterton. A reference to Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.
Is it because Emmet is also a character from "The Lego Movie"?
"The only thing to fear is fear itself"
Fear: Seriously?
