Top 10 Books or Book Series That Should Be Made Into MoviesWhich book or book series do you think should have a movie made from it?
One of my favorite books of all time, this is a realistic fiction set in Arizona, so it should be relativity easy to pull off, but what will make it good is the clever plot line that will make you laugh so hard you get stitches, and will move you to tears. The character that the novel is named after, Stargirl, will be the most vivid character will ever read in your life time.
This book was awesome! Had to red it in class, which I don't often like, but I enjoyed this one.
I love it, I think it would make a great film. It spreads a good message, Unique is beauty.
A very odd girl comes to school. At first she's popular, but she later stops.
A great book which could be made into an awesome movie. Also'Percy Jackson' but its being made into a movie.
The second someone put this on the list, a finger curled up on the monkey's paw.
Harry Potter was made movie... but Artemis would be better!
This has a movie but it's pretty bad.
This epic book predates all of the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit books, and sets up a history and ancestry for them.
So many great stories, and so many great characters, could be made into a long-running franchise of at least 10 movies.
The Tolkien family should stop crying over spilled Melk (sorry, couldn't help that) and make this thing while New Zealand is still on a roll.
Basic schedule-the following to come out about every year:
The Silmarillion 1: Flight of the Noldor
2: Beren and Luthien
3: Children of Hurin
4: The Fall of Gondolin
5: The War of Wrath
6: Pride of Ar-Phariz'n
This is not by any means inclusive of the major movie subjects.
The Silmarillion is actually the center point for which JRR Tolkien created high fantasy. Best movie (or 4 or 5 of them) ever.
Wish they can make a real good movie with real scenes and great characters. These two movies makes me wanna throw up. The book is fantastic so I wonder why the movie is terrible. There's just too many changes.
There is a movie but we need a better one.
Um... This is a movie already
This book will probably be made into a film as they have already made the first two books into films
I would prefer if Warriors was turned into an animated TV series rather than a movie. Then it could be adapted better without butchering the story and characters while trying to shove everything into a few movies. Each arc could be its own season, except maybe a lot of the filler from arc 2,3 and 4 can be removed and they can only become season 2 and 3. I would also prefer if it was mostly 2D, like Anime, rather than completely live action (I know that some anime uses 3D for really dynamic moments, but it still isn't live action, so Warriors could be like that). It would just be easier to read the emotions of the characters if they were animated in 2D
There is a lot of controversy on this and my opinion is that they SHOULDN'T make a movie. There is no way they could find the time to turn 60 books into a movie. And along with that, they'd have to take out a lot of characters. The producers wouldn't have time for minor characters, even the ones we love
Hard to imagine how they'd get the cats to fight, but hey, this series desperately needs more attention. seriously, if they can find a way to combine like maybe 3 books into 1 movie and still make it good, they could cover the whole first six books in 2 movies! I'd totally watch them
You know what? I would rather an Anime than a full blown movie. after all, they already made a few Manga of the series, and they were pretty good. I could see maybe a Netflix exclusive anime working really well. (I would watch it)
Heck yeah. I'd love for it to be made a movie. Maybe from the same creators of The Peanuts Movie or Captain Underpants movie. Just with some great animators, directors, or producers. Maybe Disney should take a look into it.
Holy crap would this ever make a great film. And D. J. MacHale also worked on shows like 'Are You Afraid of the Dark' and 'Flight 29 Down'. Pendragon would definitely be 5 star.
This book is my favorite book it is so amazing I have read it 3 times.
When I was reading this series it seemed to be the only thing I could ever think about, all I could do was read, read, read, and read. It was wonderful. If you have not read these books already, you haven't lived life. So please go and enjoy this wonderful suspense-filled sries. And I promise, you will devour it. Just as I have.
I read that series so many times and I'm still not tired of it but if they do make it I'm afraid they might mess it up because sometimes when they make a good series in to a movie it can turn out terrible but since dj machale produces T.V. shows and stuff and he knows what he's doing that would be good so if it does make it to the bigscreens then dj should help out
I would love a movie on this book. The entire book conveys real emotion! Love that about it!
Have been waiting for years gor this book to be made into a movie, will it happen soon?
This is the only YA novel I love and it should be adapted into a movie!
Awesome book, amazing author.
They are making a movie aren't they? Well, agreed but I'd love an abundance of katherines to be made into movie more
There is no way they can stretch the story so much it would last 2 hours. It may be a little entertaining, but the book itself is no more than 40 or 50 pages (I think). Besides, the story itself wasn't all that good, unlike the Lorax and Horton Hears a Who!, which both got turned into movies. Maybe a different Dr. Seuss book could be made in a movie, just not Green Eggs and Ham.
The other Dr. Seuss movies are awesome and this book is AWESOME! I think they should make The Cat In The Hat Comes Back. I also think if they made The Island of the Blue Dolphins, Miranda Cosgrove would be the perfect actress because she looks a lot like the character in the book.
It's inevitable. Illumination is gonna make it. I would've preferred an live-action one.
Agreed! And you can get both Johnny Depp & Jim Carrey to star!
Cammie attends an all-girls boarding school for spies. When she bumps into a hot but normal boy during a training exercise, she has to use all her skills to stop the school from finding out about her crush and stop the boy from learning who she really is.

Awesome crime novel that just unfolds in front of you exactly like a movie! I can't believe it hasn't been made into one already. Her other books are just as good too.
Very interesting and intriguing story. It could have been a great Thriller/Mystery. The main female character is a very cool and desperate personality. I like her
Frantic would make a great movie, thoroughly enjoyed it to read, love to see it on the screen.

Would make for an awesome series of movies that I think would be better than Lord of the Rings.
By George R. R. Martin. Would be fantastic films.
This IS made into a film
