Top 10 Best Alternatives to YouTube

YouTube, one of the largest and most popular video sharing platforms in the world, has been facing criticism and negative feedback from its users. One of the most pressing issues that has been raised by content creators is the 10-minute time limit restriction, which can be a hindrance to those who wish to produce longer-form content. Additionally, users have reported being suspended from the platform for seemingly no reason, with no clear path to reinstatement, leaving many feeling disillusioned and frustrated.

Furthermore, there are growing concerns that YouTube may be in decline, with some predicting that the platform may eventually become obsolete. As a result, users may be looking for alternative video sharing platforms that offer more flexibility, stability, and reliability.

So, while YouTube may be experiencing challenges, there are many alternative video sharing platforms that offer opportunities for creators to reach and engage with their audience, providing new avenues for growth and creativity.
The Top Ten
1 Vimeo.com Vimeo is an ad-free open video platform that is headquartered in New York City. The company provides creators with tools and technology to host, distribute and monetize videos.

In short, the technical video viewing quality of Vimeo is better especially if you don't have a good connection. Vimeo also allows downloading of videos while YouTube doesn't even give it as an option (for those uploading their videos). In 2015, this is essentially the same as taking people's content hostage and is nothing short of the evil that Google is supposedly not supposed to be. If people were smart and thinking about the future of the Internet, they would simply boycott YouTube and opt for services like Vimeo.

Vimeo, definitely. One of my friends uses Vimeo, and he found it more convenient than YouTube and deleted his account. It's really high quality. It's amazing what it can do compared to YouTube by itself. YouTube would be terrible with Google, and in some ways Google has made it worse. You can't get anywhere posting videos without Copyrights and co. and then when your Videos blocked in different countries. There is a lot less of this on Vimeo.

I'm Anti-Google due to their "privacy policy" and all the info they collect from every individual that uses any of their services.
So I choose Vimeo because, although they also collect "certain" information about you (as do most sites) it's not a fraction of what YouTUBE does merely because they form part of Google.

Though I personally believe this site needs a new coat of paint and maybe a new design overall, it's a good alternative to YouTube. The problem is that it isn't as popular, meaning no popular content creators to boost this site's visit rates.

YouTube used to be good, until Google bought it and injected its business into it...

2 Dailymotion Dailymotion is a video-sharing technology platform. It is primarily owned by Vivendi. North American launch partners include BBC News, VICE, Bloomberg, Hearst Digital Media, and more.

I show preview videos for a non-nude/nude website and though they were censored to be only non-nude on YouTube, I had three complaints and was removed without any recourse. I've been with dailymotion for awhile now and have not had any issues. My content is tame by comparison.

I like dailymotion, though the only problem is the fact that you can't turn off the ads on the side. I was trying to watch a video on it, when a really annoying ad came on about the Great Wolf Lodge. I paused the video and expected it not to change, dear god, it came back on except it was a different ad. I tried to fullscreen the video, but the sound played through it. >:( It pissed me off. Had to frequently pause the video to pause the ad again and again. Then, when I was finally fed up with it, I changed to a different site.

Dailymotion is the best! I think it's better than YouTube, but I still have to use YouTube for the Minecraft channels. I don't recognize most of the websites here! I don't understand how hulu is in the top ten, let alone how it's so far above netflix. I would vote for netflix or hulu, but they don't count as an alternative to me. They're for shows and movies. YouTube and dailymotion are for all kinds of videos!

It's best to go with stability. Keep away from the likes of Zippcast and it's twisted sister social site Vidigo social, where pm's are read, and the staff are hackers and argue non stop. The word is spreading that these two sites are ran by homo criminals who hack your accounts on a daily basis to send false pms to people or read everything your wrote in private and the main owner, some old dude likes to hang around children.
DM gets my vote because the owners don't invade your privacy and it's not going anywhere

3 Vevo

In my honest opinion, I love vevo because they actually give me the music that I expect. I don't find anything wrong with but understand people do because it contains censorship. Sometimes, I used it for listening before buying it.

I honestly don't understand why everyone hates Vevo. If you don't like it, don't watch videos from there. Nicki Minaj is terrible though.

I love music my next door neighbours always complain that I have I have my music to loud. like they should live a little and let me enjoy the rest of my fun.

Vevo are just people who help make brilliant music videos (apart from people like Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, etc.) people need to respect them a bit more for doing this.

4 Metacafe

Laugh out loud "youtube is dying, " metacafe is basically a youtube reincarnation. They were made 6 years ago, and are this big so fast... Youtube has been the standard and staple quality of any video sharing site

Took one look at the home screen and it was a beauty of Internet innovation if I have ever seen one.

You tube has started dying, time for the next king of video to step in.

Metacafe would have to be the best video site other than YouTube.

5 Twitch Twitch is an American video live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions, in addition to offering music broadcasts, creative content, and "in real life" streams. It is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. It was introduced in June 2011 as a spin-off of the general-interest streaming platform Justin.tv. Content on the site can be viewed either live or via video on demand.

At its inception, Twitch was a novel concept and continued to become increasingly innovative as it evolved. In 2017 it has passed its prime as its chief imperative now is creating as many fees as possible that do not benefit the viewing experience. Add to this the unfortunate advent of "troll streamers." Most evident in English language Arma 3 streams, broadcasters here encourage the chat to donate at the completion of shocking acts. Here you will witness the complete absence of any prowess in video game play superseded by adolescent children rewarding broadcasters for indulging in acts of racism, drug use and assorted vulgarities. Sooner or later Twitch will bear the repercussions of this, perhaps with lawsuits or the unwanted scrutiny of an accusatory news media.

Twitch is one of the best streaming websites that makes sure you're not a robot. Play good games like Fortnite, Minecraft, Rocket League, etc. (I think) and they can get you free wins if you friend them. In conclusion, they're the best, except when they just don't die in Fortnite because they go to tryhard mode. This should be on the most annoying things I know, but this is twitch. This reminds me of this kid on the bus named Dacoda and he was a bully, so one day, he threw me out of the seats and I got angry and I said nobody messes with spider bee my Fortnite name and I took him out of that seat and did a nice clean loud slap. Sorry, out of topic, like my character does. Sorry twitch!

I believe this is the best alternate to YouTube. Because you could interact with gamers and stuff, not to mention Markiplier and CaptainSparklez use it, so this should surpass everything else even dailymotion

It's now a feature in Minecraft! And it was bought by Google!
Google now owns:
Google+
YouTube
Gmail
Twitch
Google Calender
Wow, how many others?!

6 Funny Or Die

Most of the videos are funny, and the voting system is very effective. You can vote for videos you find FUNNY, and vote for videos you dislike to DIE.

Nothing but hilarious videos. And it has an awesome voting system.

7 Newgrounds Newgrounds is an entertainment website and company founded by Tom Fulp in 1995. It hosts user-generated content such as games, films, audio, and artwork. Fulp produces in-house content at the headquarters and offices in Glenside, Pennsylvania. In the 2000s and 2010s, Newgrounds played an important role in Internet culture and in Internet animation and independent video gaming in particular. Newgrounds has been called a "distinct time in gaming history", a place "where many animators and developers cut their teeth and gained a following long before social media was even a thing", and "a haven for fostering the greats of internet animation".

This site brings back so many memories! I used to go there and watch all their spoof videos and play amateur flash games before YouTube.
Did you know that Newgrounds is named after 'neo geo'?

Great music, more great music, animations, more animations, games, more games, brilliant games, an alien, a tank and a behemoth.

In a way, Newgrounds kinda opened up the animation stage for YouTube, giving it lots of promotion.

This site is legitimately the closest YouTube has to actual competition. And that's just sad.

8 BitChute

I love the tip and pledge functionality to monetizing videos... This is extremely innovative and I think it could catch on very quickly... If a site has ad-sense, it's essentially controlled by Google (YouTube) and not a true YouTube alternative... The whole point in getting away from YouTube is that content creators are unfairly getting their ad-sense accounts pulled for life... I think I'm going to make a home here...

Don't have much experience with other Youtube alternatives but I've uploaded a few videos without any problems. My only criticism would be that the search system doesn't seem as good as Youtubes. Also there seems to be a lack of non-political content but hopefully that will change if it gets more popular

The only platform that is truly censorship free and actually acts as a YouTube alternative.

Is a great platform. Free for viewers, paid for streamers, also streamers can get money from ads.

9 Veoh

I voted this because it's bad and wanted to make the person who made it fell good about himself

This is great for anime.

10 SoundCloud SoundCloud is a German-based online audio distribution platform that allows artists to upload, promote, and share music. Music all the time.

The Contenders
11 Imgur
12 Facebook Facebook is a corporation and an online social networking service headquartered in Menlo Park, California, in the United States.

How is this so low?

13 Rumble

Rumble is a great source to find and learn the real truth about what is going on around the world. It is easier to discern the truth listening to conversations about the facts as they are known than consuming corporate/ government narrative from legacy media.

Rumble is outstanding in that you are free to express your views without censorship. It functionally will features be refined over time. Great place to get the real facts and truth.

This one would definitely be my go to alternative.

They are good.

14 TeacherTube

Man my social studies teacher is awesome check him out on teacher tube mr. M

15 WatchMojo.com

Amazing and helpful how to's!

16 Tudou

Without a doubt, Youku, Tudou is the only one on the list that carries the same weight as youtube.

17 GabTV
18 World Star Hip Hop

I thought this would be number one...

19 Livestream.com

Cool and easy to use

20 VidLii.com

I love this site so much. Compared to modern day YouTube which is literally a high-school normie and trend filled mainstream media injected war-zone, VidLii is literally old YouTube both aesthetically and community wise.

I agree. I love VidLii, it's a great website. A very good community and good customization! It's like the old YouTube, it's great!

Yet again they only take big local main corporation email providers that can be tampered with or hacked, not very many people there its boring as well as wenoo they both suck

Best YouTube alternative, hands down!

21 Aparat
22 GodTube

It's great to have a place for Christ-centered, family oriented videos and fellowship. The rest of the world is overrun with pornography, violence and vulgar language and I'm tired of having it shoved down my throat.

Nice to see someone cater to an under represented audience!

Why won't my school let me go here?

Excellent way to walk with God.

23 NicoNicoDouga

Why is this 99, huh. Very Strange. I love this website, best YouTube alternative I've ever seen.

24 DateMule
25 Tune.pk

Good interface, doesn't track you, simply better.

Sometimes very slow, sometimes very fast.
