Top 10 Best Alternatives to YouTube

YouTube, one of the largest and most popular video sharing platforms in the world, has been facing criticism and negative feedback from its users. One of the most pressing issues that has been raised by content creators is the 10-minute time limit restriction, which can be a hindrance to those who wish to produce longer-form content. Additionally, users have reported being suspended from the platform for seemingly no reason, with no clear path to reinstatement, leaving many feeling disillusioned and frustrated.

Furthermore, there are growing concerns that YouTube may be in decline, with some predicting that the platform may eventually become obsolete. As a result, users may be looking for alternative video sharing platforms that offer more flexibility, stability, and reliability.

So, while YouTube may be experiencing challenges, there are many alternative video sharing platforms that offer opportunities for creators to reach and engage with their audience, providing new avenues for growth and creativity.
The Top Ten
1 Vimeo is an ad-free open video platform that is headquartered in New York City. The company provides creators with tools and technology to host, distribute and monetize videos.

In short, the technical video viewing quality of Vimeo is better, especially if you don't have a good connection. Vimeo also allows the downloading of videos, while YouTube doesn't even offer it as an option for those uploading their videos. In 2015, this is essentially the same as taking people's content hostage, and it is nothing short of the evil that Google is supposedly not supposed to be. If people were smart and thinking about the future of the internet, they would simply boycott YouTube and opt for services like Vimeo.

2 Dailymotion Dailymotion is a video-sharing technology platform. It is primarily owned by Vivendi. North American launch partners include BBC News, VICE, Bloomberg, Hearst Digital Media, and more.

I show preview videos for a non-nude/nude website, and though they were censored to be only non-nude on YouTube, I had three complaints and was removed without any recourse. I've been with Dailymotion for a while now and have not had any issues. My content is tame by comparison.

Dailymotion is the best! I think it's better than YouTube, but I still have to use YouTube for the Minecraft channels. I don't recognize most of the websites here! I don't understand how Hulu is in the top ten, let alone how it's so far above Netflix. I would vote for Netflix or Hulu, but they don't count as an alternative to me. They're for shows and movies. YouTube and Dailymotion are for all kinds of videos!

3 Vevo

In my honest opinion, I love Vevo because they actually give me the music that I expect. I don't find anything wrong with it, but I understand why people do because it contains censorship. Sometimes, I use it for listening before buying.

I honestly don't understand why everyone hates Vevo. If you don't like it, don't watch videos from there. However, I do think Nicki Minaj is terrible.

I love music. My next-door neighbors always complain that I have my music too loud. They should live a little and let me enjoy my fun.

4 Metacafe

Laugh out loud, "YouTube is dying," Metacafe is basically a YouTube reincarnation. They were made 6 years ago and have grown this big so fast. YouTube has been the standard and staple quality of any video-sharing site.

Took one look at the home screen, and it was a beauty of Internet innovation if I have ever seen one.

YouTube has started dying. It's time for the next king of video to step in.

5 Twitch Twitch is an American video live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions, in addition to offering music broadcasts, creative content, and "in real life" streams. It is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of, Inc... read more

Twitch is one of the best streaming websites that ensures you're not a robot. It hosts good games like Fortnite, Minecraft, Rocket League, etc. (I think), and players can get you free wins if you befriend them. In conclusion, they're the best, except when they just don't die in Fortnite because they go into tryhard mode. This should be on the list of the most annoying things I know, but this is Twitch.

This reminds me of this kid on the bus named Dakota. He was a bully, so one day, he threw me out of the seats. I got angry and said, Nobody messes with Spider Bee, my Fortnite name, and I took him out of that seat with a nice, clean, loud slap. Sorry, I went off-topic, like my character does. Sorry, Twitch!

6 Funny Or Die

Most of the videos are funny, and the voting system is very effective. You can vote for videos you find funny, and vote for those you dislike to die.

Nothing but hilarious videos. It also has an awesome voting system.

7 Newgrounds Newgrounds is an entertainment website and company founded by Tom Fulp in 1995. It hosts user-generated content such as games, films, audio, and artwork.

This site brings back so many memories! I used to go there and watch all their spoof videos and play amateur flash games before YouTube. Did you know that Newgrounds is named after 'Neo Geo'?

Great music, animations, games, and even more brilliant games, along with an alien, a tank, and a behemoth.

In a way, Newgrounds opened up the animation stage for YouTube, giving it lots of promotion.

8 BitChute

I love the tip and pledge functionality for monetizing videos. This is extremely innovative, and I think it could catch on very quickly. If a site has AdSense, it's essentially controlled by Google (YouTube) and not a true YouTube alternative. The whole point of getting away from YouTube is that content creators are unfairly having their AdSense accounts pulled for life. I think I'm going to make a home here.

I don't have much experience with other YouTube alternatives, but I've uploaded a few videos without any problems. My only criticism would be that the search system doesn't seem as good as YouTube's. Also, there seems to be a lack of non-political content, but hopefully, that will change if it gets more popular.

12 Facebook Facebook is a corporation and an online social networking service headquartered in Menlo Park, California, in the United States.
13 Rumble

Rumble is a great source to find and learn the real truth about what is going on around the world. It is easier to discern the truth by listening to conversations about the facts as they are known than by consuming the corporate/government narrative from legacy media.

Rumble is outstanding in that you are free to express your views without censorship. Its functionality and features will be refined over time. It's a great place to get the real facts and truth.

This one would definitely be my go-to alternative.

14 TeacherTube

Man, my social studies teacher is awesome. Check him out on TeacherTube - Mr. M.

16 Tudou

Without a doubt, Youku Tudou is the only one on the list that carries the same weight as YouTube.

17 GabTV
19 World Star Hip Hop

I thought this would be number one.

I love this site so much. Compared to modern-day YouTube, which is literally a high-school normie and trend-filled, mainstream media-injected war zone, VidLii is literally old YouTube, both aesthetically and community-wise.

I agree. I love VidLii. It's a great website with a good community and customization options. It's like the old YouTube - great!

Best YouTube alternative, hands down!

21 Aparat
22 GodTube

It's great to have a place for Christ-centered, family-oriented videos and fellowship. The rest of the world is overrun with pornography, violence, and vulgar language, and I'm tired of having it shoved down my throat.

Nice to see someone catering to an underrepresented audience!

Why won't my school let me go here?

23 NicoNicoDouga

Why is this ranked 99? Very strange. I love this website. It's the best YouTube alternative I've ever seen.

A good YT alternative, as long as you know Japanese or enjoy Japanese music.
