How unique can you be? Because no matter how unique and creative you are, you can't imagine something like Doctor Who. The pure talent behind the scripts, the storyline, and the characters - it takes time, effort, and a resilient, imaginative mind. This is exactly the show for you.

I quite agree for it to be at the top! Time Travel is what it's all about. There can't be any adventures without the time-traveling Doctor inside his TARDIS!

Phenomenal and legendary series. A Time Lord known as "the Doctor" travels through time and space in a TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space).

2 Farscape
3 Steins;Gate Steins;Gate is a 2011 anime television series created by the animation studio White Fox based on 5pb. and Nitroplus's 2009 video game of the same name, and is part of the Science Adventure franchise.

A time travel sci-fi anime series with extremely thought-provoking themes. It's an emotional, bittersweet, philosophical, thrilling adventure through the eyes of self-proclaimed mad scientist Okabe Rintarou. The first half of the show is very slow, but the second half is fantastic and is what the series is known for.

Very, very, very well done. The dialogue and voice acting is excellent. This series tapped into some of the deepest aspects of humanity, in my opinion.

But you have to watch the movie afterward. That made me tear up, and I'm a guy.

4 Primeval

Portals to different time periods start opening up and creatures from the past and future start to come through. There are indications that the portals are man-made, but their exact origin is shrouded in mystery.

It's just such a fun show. The CGI is good, the acting is good, and the character development is great. It's just one of those shows you can't hate no matter how hard you try.

7 Quantum Leap

Dr. Sam Beckett helped to develop Quantum Leap, a project that would allow a person to time travel back to any point since that person was born. Beckett ended up being the test subject. While he could remember only certain details, he traded places with a person in the past.

As a kid, my bedtime was 9 PM, but on Wednesdays, I could stay up till 10 PM because of Quantum Leap!

8 Torchwood

Humans and aliens alike from different periods in time start to come through to our world by means of a rift in the space/time continuum. The series itself is a spin-off from Doctor Who and a very decent spin-off.
