NFL 2010’s Report Card Part 3: The NFC North

Almost halfway through the Report Card for the NFL and here we have the NFC North. A pretty interesting division between 3 of the 4 teams here.

Green Bay Packers (111-62-2) A+ Win% 63
Playoff Appearances 8
Playoff Record 9-6
Division Titles 6
Head Coaches 2
Best Result 2010

The Packers have been one of the most successful teams of this decade. They last won it all in 2010 but despite the troubles of McCarthy later in his tenure he managed to lead them to the playoffs most of his years. And of course when you have Aaron Rodgers at the helm you’re going to be decent for a majority of the decade.

Minnesota Vikings (82-80-1) C. Win % 50
Playoff appearances 4
Playoff record 1-3
Division Titles 2
Head Coaches 2
Best Result 2017

The Vikings easily had one of the most average decades. That’s to be expected when you play in the shadows of your big brother Green Bay. Zimmer has been decent but not great. That playoff record hurts them. Their only win was you guessed it the Minnesota Miracle. Outside of that it’s been pretty mediocre all around.

Chicago Bears (77-86). C- Win % 47
Playoff appearances 2
Playoff record 1-2
Division titles 2
Head Coaches 4
Best Result 2010

Da Bears have had a very Jekyll and Hyde decade. They have been first and last before and they have made some noise in the playoffs outside of that though they have been pretty awful. Who have they had at QB again? Jay Cutler? Mitch Trubisky? Yeah not great. And of course we can’t forget about the Double Doink. If you think about it that kinda sums up their decade in a nutshell.

Detroit Lions (72- 90-1) D- Win % 44
Playoff appearances 3
Playoff record 0-3
Division titles 0
Head Coaches 3
Best Result 2014

The Lions have had a pretty rough decade. Sure they have 3 playoff appearances but going 0-3 is not great. Other than that they have nothing. They have been nothing for their entire existence so this isn’t surprising. Matt Stafford May retire early but he’s also the best QB you guys have had. I don’t know if Patricia is the answer so far he’s not

Division Totals: (342- 318- 3) Win % 51
Average Wins 85
Average Losses 79
Playoff Record 11-14
Super Bowls: 1
