The top ten best seasons from the television series Friends.

Season 5
Ross spirals after saying the wrong name at the altar, leaving him to rebuild his life one awkward mistake at a time. Chandler and Monica carry on their secret relationship, dodging suspicion with the finesse of two people absolutely terrible at lying. Meanwhile, Joey fumbles through his acting career and loyalty tests as the group slowly uncovers the big secret.
Best season hands down. I'm sorry, but how is Season 8 number one? There is one great episode in that season: The One with the Videotape. Other than that, it's a pretty mediocre season.
Season 5, on the other hand, was just one amazing episode after another. With this season, they were able to make Monica and Chandler hiding their relationship for 14 episodes not only funny for half a season, but they were able to make the second half just as funny by ending it with Vegas.
This is my favorite season of Friends. I love most of the episodes in Seasons 3 to 6, but Season 5 has so many great episodes in it.
I like The One Where Phoebe Hates PBS, The One Where Ross Moves In, The One with Chandler's Work Laugh, The One Where Everybody Finds Out, The One with All the Resolutions, The One with the Cop, and the Vegas two-parter.

Season 8
Rachel's pregnancy shakes up the group as everyone tries to figure out what her future with Ross might look like. Monica and Chandler navigate married life while Joey unexpectedly develops feelings for Rachel. The season ends in classic chaos when Rachel gives birth and a new romantic wrinkle appears.
Best season. The show matured that season. Joey and Rachel's relationship added new depth to the show. Every single episode was funny and full of magic. This was also the season that won Best Comedy at the Emmys.
Friends is and always will be the best sitcom of all time. It is more original and relevant than Seinfeld, and the way it transcended TV into popular culture and defined America in the mid-90s to 2000s broke the mold of what sitcoms were.
I didn't like the whole Rachel/Joey relationship because my all-time favorite couple is Ross and Rachel. I thought it was inappropriate for Joey to try and date Rachel when everyone knows Ross is her "lobster." However, this season had some of the funniest episodes, such as The One with the Stripper, The One with the Rumor, The One with the Baby Shower, etc. I really enjoyed it overall.

Season 4
Ross dates Emily and their relationship moves at turbo speed until wedding bells ring a little too soon. Chandler falls for Joey's girlfriend, creating a moral disaster neither of them is mature enough to handle smoothly. Monica and Rachel's apartment ends up in the wrong hands thanks to a trivia game gone hilariously off the rails.
Awesome season! All the episodes are excellent. As we look back at this great series, this is probably the season when all the characters have matured but are still young enough.
Things like Joey and Chandler's roommate awesomeness, the development of Mondler when Chandler flirts with Monica, and Ross and Rachel's development. To me, Season 4 slightly edges out the rest as the best Friends season of all time!
This is by far my favorite! All the characters are developed, and we see them grow. It's not just one character being focused on. The London episodes are great, and no one can deny the OMG moment when Ross says Rachel!
Hands down, best season.
-
Season 2
Ross's return from China complicates everything as Rachel realizes she waited too long to tell him how she feels. Chandler accidentally reveals the truth anyway, sending Ross into a brief but memorable detour with Julie. Joey grabs a role on Days of Our Lives while the rest of the group stumbles through breakups, new jobs, and emotional misfires.
Best season hands down! It should be first instead of Season 8. Chandler was hilarious, every single episode was funny, and I love when Ross and Rachel started going out.
Plus, this season contains the best episode in the world: The One with the Two Parties.
Season 2 was amazing because we already learned some stuff about the characters from the first season. With the second season, we learn even more about them, and we can follow their storylines better.
I actually watched Season 2 even before Season 1 or any other season, and hands down, it's the funniest. The One with the Two Parties and The One with the Bullies are the funniest episodes ever!
-
Season 3
Ross's jealousy slowly corrodes his relationship with Rachel, especially once her career starts taking off. Monica and Chandler aren't a thing yet, so she dives into a relationship with Richard that tests her long-term dreams. Joey battles feelings he doesn't want for a roommate he can't avoid.
This is the best season ever! There are so many classic episodes. I think overall Seasons 2, 3, and 4 are the best, but Season 3 takes the cake as the best. All the characters are at their best here!
Season 3 is considered to be some of the finest work of the show. Shame this is number 6...
Ross and Rachel together, and when they are broken up, you gotta love it. Don't forget the poking device.
-
Season 6
Ross and Rachel wake up married in Vegas and immediately try to undo it with the precision of two people who should never drink together. Chandler tries to prove he's ready to live with Monica while Joey suffers through bizarre auditions and financial chaos. Phoebe treats Ross's "un-divorce" disaster like her own personal entertainment channel.
Here are the top 2 episodes:
The One That Could Have Been, Part 2.
This episode is the sequel to the previous one, The One That Could Have Been, Part 1. It showcases what the group thought their lives would be like if everything was different, like Monica being fat and Ross still being married to his lesbian wife. (Hilarious!)
The One with the Unagi.
This episode is all about Phoebe and Rachel taking a self-defense class. Ross decides that they have not reached 'Unagi,' which he says is a state of peace and clarity of the mind. The rest of the episode is all about the three scaring each other to prove they don't have Unagi.
The best season in my opinion! It was a season with no major plot points until the proposal at the end. You have the six friends just being friends.
Ross and Rachel's drunken marriage, Joey's hernia, Phoebe's running (my favorite), Thanksgiving with Ross high and the trifle, Monica and Ross doing the routine, Ross doing Unagi, Joey's fridge breaking, Chandler cleaning the apartment, Ross's British accent at NYU... and finishing with the proposal! Easily the best season from start to finish.

Season 1
Rachel flees her wedding and crashes into the group's life, kicking off a new era of friendship, independence, and questionable career choices. Ross quietly pines for her while Joey and Chandler coach him with advice nobody should ever follow. Monica tries to keep everyone grounded as they all learn how to be adults, sort of.
This was the best season ever. There were no relationships among the main characters. No Ross and Rachel or Mondler (I loved those both, I admit, but still).
This is the only season where the six friends are struggling friends who find comfort from one another and nothing more. Hence, the first season will always be unique.
The first season was the best one because the characters were just beginning, and you had the opportunity to know them all for the first time. They seemed to be much more carefree and young back then.
-
Season 7
Monica turns into a wedding-planning machine while Chandler keeps panicking about the ceremony in increasingly unhelpful ways. Ross tries to be supportive though he's mostly preoccupied with proving he's still the responsible one. Joey lands a new job that comes with its own heap of trouble.
I like all the Friends series (except for Season 6), but Season 7 is definitely my favorite! When Phoebe starts going hee when Ross plays bagpipes, it cracks me up every time.
And Monica and Chandler get married! This has to be the best season ever!
Totally agree, TheSudhanva: all seasons have to be seen and are fabulous. You cannot see one of them without seeing the whole package. But actually, I got that little crush on the 7th because each minute of each episode is just great.
The ending was so shocking! Loved every episode and definitely the right amount of comedy.

Season 10
The final stretch brings big life changes as Monica and Chandler push toward adoption, Rachel and Ross try to untangle their long history, and Joey watches his world shift as the group prepares for adulthood. Phoebe finally finds lasting happiness with Mike. The story closes with one last walk out of the apartment, keys on the counter and futures wide open.
The end of a great season. By far, the greatest of the Friends sitcom. It leaves the viewer with a grin yet a smile on their face. And even though the viewer knows the show is over, they are left with a feeling that it will never really end.
Definitely, it's a tie between Seasons 1 and 10 for me. Season 1 because it's the beginning, you get to meet all the characters, and it's like a TV show for young people. They are all around 23/24 years old.
Season 10 because they have grown to be six incredible people. It's been a hell of 10 years, guys, and we still love it.
-
Season 9
Rachel and Ross try to co-parent without falling back into their old patterns, though Ross's jealousy makes that nearly impossible. Joey and Rachel's brief romance complicates everything until they realize the fit just isn't right. Monica and Chandler confront fertility struggles while Phoebe navigates new love.
I ship Gavin with Rachel so much! And I haven't laughed at any other season this hard!
