Most Disturbing Kids Shows of All Time

There are some kids shows that are great. But then, there's this. Some "kids" shows that are... not so great. They're scary. Creepy. Disturbing. So here's a list for them. Enjoy.
The Top Ten
1 Courage The Cowardly Dog Courage the Cowardly Dog is an American animated horror comedy television series created by John R. Dilworth for Cartoon Network as part of the network's Cartoon Cartoons block.

I don't think this show was meant to be a kid show.
I think it's for teens and adults.
I'm 13, I've seen one episode (the mask), and it was pretty dark and creepy, but I enjoyed it cause I love being scared.
This is a good show for people who like dark and mystery things.
But it's not for kids, I think I can make them have nightmares.
But anyway, It's a good and enjoyable creepy show, and it actually has good messages. But it's inappropriate for kids.

16? This has got to be like top 10 at the least. No other shows has gave you consistent dark episodes like Courage did in almost every single one it seemed like.

This show was amazing, however as a child, the blue thing from the very last episode made me have nightmares for weeks.

2 Aasi, Morso ja Mouru

Morso isn't itself a show, but a character from one: Aasi, Morso ja Mouru is a Finnish cartoon. Aasi means donkey, Mouru is the cat's name and Morso is based on a pug.

That would give most kids nightmares, who thought it was a good idea to give a character in a kids show this kinda face

It even looks creepy.

3 Mr. Meaty Mr. Meaty is a Canadian-American television series created by Jamie Shannon and Jason Hopley. The show centers on two lazy teenage boys named Josh Redgrove and Parker Dinkleman, who work at a fast food restaurant.

Just the commercials for this terrified me. I wasn't brave enough to watch it. It might even be as bad as MAD. Maybe even WORSE!

Just look at their faces.

4 Invader ZIM Invader Zim is an American animated television series created by Jhonen Vasquez for Nickelodeon. The series centers on an extraterrestrial named Zim from the planet Irk, and his mission to conquer Earth and enslave the human race along with his malfunctioning robot servant GIR.

Saw dark harvest when I was like 5 years old, too stupid to comprehend what I just saw before my eyes, but it was scary and soon after I forgot what the show was, but I could not remember what it was called. I finally found it again and I rewatched it, I don't know how this came to air, but I am glad it did

I remember seeing this show when I was younger (like 6 or 7), and I did not like it. However, I recently saw a clip on YouTube, and found it funny. So maybe this show isn't as bad as I remembered.

This showed organs in a graphic way for a kids show! Really scary animation

5 The Ren & Stimpy Show The Ren & Stimpy Show, often simply referred to as Ren & Stimpy, is an American animated television series created by John Kricfalusi for Nickelodeon.

Ren and Stimpy pioneered the gross-out/shock-comedy genre.

6 Teletubbies Teletubbies is a British pre-school children's television series created by Ragdoll Productions' Anne Wood CBE and Andrew Davenport, who wrote each of the show's 365 episodes. It is owned by Canadian Studio WildBrain, which is the largest independent Children's and Adolescent's Film Studio

I heard somewhere else that this show was trying to hypnotize children! Someone else said that they saw the sun's face turn into a demon face! This was on Quora, if you want to try and find the posts. - GothTomboy9

Ya know, when you watch it in black and white, it is very scary.

Am I the only one who finds the Teletubbies cute?

7 The Powerpuff Girls (2016) The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network. The main characters of this show are Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The show is about the Professor Utonium creating three little superhero girls that save the day from villains. This show has an anime spinoff made in Japan, three specials, a movie in theatres, and a reboot. The show aired from 1998 to 2005.

How is this disturbing?

I think you meant the 1998 show.

8 Slneicko

Only know about this show from BlameitonJorge's video. It looks very bizarre.

This isn't a show. It's a character off of a T.V. show called Slniecko.

9 Jigsaw

Not only that, but how did they approve of the character he looks like a dude who could murder people, and that is not good. How appropriate of another horror fictional character.

Who saw this mask and said: "Hmm, yup! Perfect for children! They aren't going to have nightmares of this guy coming into their house, and people aren't going to make fan-fics on this guy being a murderer!

Creepiest T.V. show based on a horror movie

10 Angela Anaconda Angela Anaconda is a Canadian–American children's television series created by Joanna Ferrone and Sue Rose, the latter of whom who also voices the title character.

Well just looking at the picture alone is very justifiable being where its at, but the lazy animation makes this one uneasy for a younger audience.

That face is just... disturbing!

The Contenders
11 Gravity Falls Gravity Falls is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation that first aired on Disney Channel, and then on Disney XD from June 15, 2012 to February 15, 2016. The series follows the adventures of Dipper Pines and his twin sister Mabel in the fictional town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, while on summer vacation.

It is such a great show! If you say it is not gods for kids because it has blood then you never watched the show. They is literally a drop of blood in the show!

Oh, come on guys!
This is a disney show, and it ain't disturbing at all.
It's not for little kids, it's for pre-teens and teens.
I'm 14 and I started watching this show when I was 8, and I still love it.
I love the mistery, the storyline and the characters.
This show shouldn't be on the list because it's hilarious!

People are so stupid f they say this is funny they are thinking of the first crappy season season 2 is downright dark one episode literally had blood!

12 Aaaah! Real Monsters Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is an American animated television series developed by Klasky Csupo for Nickelodeon.

The most horrifying animation ever! It looks like a show that would have gore or organs!

13 Boohbah Boohbah is a British children's television programme created by Anne Wood. It premiered on 14 April 2003 on ITV in the United Kingdom, followed by its Nick Jr.

This is a bad show, no doubt, but possibly better than a lot of shows here (especially Breadwinners, which is only #24 while this is #11).

Retards always calling shows like this "weed". Its just an unusual show, but the Teletubbies were cute this was unusual.

Why you shouldn't give the Teletubbies weed.

14 Sanjay and Craig Sanjay and Craig is an American animated comedy television series that aired on Nickelodeon from May 25, 2013, to July 29, 2016, for three seasons and 60 episodes. The series is about a 12-year-old boy named Sanjay Patel who owns a talking pet snake named Craig.

While it's good that this show is in the Top 10, it really should be higher than Gravity Falls. I don't like either, but if I had to choose which is worse, it would be Sanjay and Craig. I mean, over half the jokes in this show involve butts, barfing, pooping, peeing, mucus, stinky armpits, and pretty much everything gross.

When it's not focused on butt jokes or other distasteful subjects, the show is just plain stupid and annoying. Even the theme song is terrible. Sanjay and Craig serves as further proof that Nickelodeon is declining. From Fanboy and Chum Chum to Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures, Nick has had some really bad buddy shows. Then this show came along and did significant damage to the network.

And just when we think there can't possibly be anything worse, they bring us Breadwinners. Breadwinners is essentially the same as Fanboy and Chum Chum, but with ducks that neither look nor act like real ducks. Like Sanjay and Craig before it, the show is filled with constant butt jokes and twerking. Sanjay and Craig already had twerking, but Breadwinners practically makes it their mission to include as much twerking as possible.

So yes, Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners are the worst of Nickelodeon, along with Fanboy and Chum Chum. Do not watch these shows. I'm warning you because you will regret it if you do. But if you manage to survive watching them, then come back here and make sure they get more comments and votes, because they need them. Also, Fanboy and Chum Chum is missing from this list, somehow. It needs to be on here, and Breadwinners should be much higher than #24.

Even though I dislike Gravity Falls, it's far better than Breadwinners and especially Sanjay and Craig. If you like Gravity Falls, you have to believe me: while Gravity Falls has some redeeming qualities, Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners do not.

And that is my rant on Sanjay and Craig, or as another person put it, "Flopjay and Trash." These shows are... more

15 Peppermint Park Peppermint Park is an American direct-to-video children's show consisting of around six volumes, released in 1987 and 1988. The show had many similarities to Sesame Street, in that it was a mixture of live action, animation, and puppets. It is almost completely lost with only a few clips taken from the show available on YouTube.

Peppermint Park is just about human puppets teaches kids in just disturbing way.
It looks like those puppets sounds like they put real humans and some stuff.
And it also looks like Jim Henson killed kids and look at them.

Do you just see the picture above? It's just a result like it was made in human flesh that mixed with plastic ala Shayne John.

And dat rabbit! That's from the different show! I mean that rabbit looks so real like it was just made in real human rabbit.
And much of a lost brother of Bugs Bunny and much of an early version TTG.

And if you want to see more about the show.
Search blameitonjorge on Youtube with the title Top 20 Unintentionally Disturbing Kids Character or Mr. Nightmare's same video.

I have a strange feeling in my gut that the Peppermint Park demons kidnapped the vintage Sesame Street characters that aren't on the show!

Wow, this show is amazing. Too bad it's lost. I wish that someone would release it on DVD or Netflix. Such a shame.

16 Mad (CN)

Just the image displayed is ugly and disturbing, in an ANNOYING way! And the show itself is no better. In fact, it may even be WORSE than the image suggests, which is saying something! This is just as awful as Sanjay and Craig even! It's REALLY terrible and horrid!

I did not find this that disturbing really, maybe in a few episodes, but I was not really into it.

17 Steven Universe Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show's based around a young boy by the name of Steven Universe, who is a hybrid of a gem and a human. He lives with his gem friends, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.

Steven Universe is amazing! The only disturbing episodes were: Frybo (a living killer suit is creepy), Keeping It Together (corrupted gems are scary), the one with the Glitched City (everyone was soulless), and Nightmare Hospital (again with the corrupted gems)! Other than that the show is pleasant, and I really do recommend it! 10/10

This was very intense it scared us when we were 8! We were a wuss !

The episode Keeping it Together is pretty disturbing, but not the rest of the show

18 TV Fofão

this looks like some kind of 30 minute made show by that I mean it looks like it was made in like 30 minutes and looks like it was cheaply made no kid should watch this.

This actually was loved by Brazilian kids. If American children saw this, they would be terrified.

Ugh! Captian Falcon gonna falcon Punch that ugly hideous thing for frightening kids!

19 Over the Garden Wall Over the Garden Wall is an American animated television miniseries created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Network.

Oh god, this show is DARK. So much creepy imagery and plot lines. How is it so low? This is definitely more disturbing that Gravity Falls (even though that show is creepy too).

This had crushed souls! And scary villains!

20 Captain Underpants

This show isn't kid friendly because it has a grown man running around in his underwear. and just letting you know, My parents are porn stars and they would know which shows should be 18+

What the hell? This isn't even a T.V. show.

Actually, it has a Netflix series.

21 Téléfrancais

A pineapple, okay?

22 Wizbit Wizbit is a 1980s BBC children's television show about an alien magician, Wizbit. It starred conjuror Paul Daniels and wife Debbie McGee.

Imagine in 1986, and you were forced to watch this, I would feel bad for you. You'd rather put on Sesame Street.

23 Tomorrow's Pioneers

Thankyou to the person who put this show on the list. It is the most evil, racist, mean-spirited and unpleasant show on Television. Farfour (The Mickey Mouse Rip-off) and the others get killed in this abomination. Who would let their kids watch this.

Thank you to whoever submitted this. This show is just evil. It has killed off several of its main characters, promotes hatred and anti-semitism (in a show for children), and one of the characters rips off Mickey Mouse.

It features a Mickey Mouse knockoff named Farfour who is used to promote antisemitism, anti-Americanism, and hatred to children.

24 Popee The Performer Popee the Performer (Japanese: ポピーザぱフォーマー) is a Japanese anime series of 3DCG shorts produced for Kids Station, one of the all-anime satellite stations in Japan. The show was produced by husband-wife team Ryuji Masuda (writer, director) and Wakako Masuda (art director, art design and character design). The music was composed by Osamu Tezuka, and the vocals within the main theme... read more

I'm honestly surprised this show isn't higher up on the list. I personally love this show and it doesn't scare me, but it was for kids and I can understand why some little kids might be scarred by it. In almost every episode one or more of the characters just straight up die, sometimes in brutal and bloody ways. It's not all just death though, there is a lot of slapstick comedy and weirdness mixed in and I love it. It can actually be pretty funny sometimes.

Hate me all you want but, I loved it.
But, respect your opinion though

I love it honestly
