Why Super Junior should perform at the 2012 Olympics? Part 2

Remember what our Leader Teukie said in his MAMA 2011 speech?

"...And also for our best and biggest fanclub, when there is no one who give us approval, when there is nobody knowing us, let us to become a best and famous people, the fan’s name, makes me feel the 'mightiness' of E.L.F from all around the world, thank you all once again!

...We Super Junior are like ugly ducklings, we are expecting one day until the ugly duck will become a swan..."

Super Junior referred themselves to ugly ducklings at the beginning of their career... now they are the most beautiful swan in the K-Pop world. To the old ELFs, you and I know the reason why Teukie said that; to the younger (and newer) ELFs, allow me to take you through Super Junior's journey in the eyes of this ELF.

2005. The name 'Super Junior' was first heard in Korea's music industry. Many have raised their eyebrows in doubts to how this project group can ever succeed for several reasons. One, they are a 12-member project group, the sheer size alone is disastrous they say. Two, the members are mere remnants of the aspiring candidates who didn't make the cut for their management's ace group, DBSK. And three, they are simply a project group with rotating members; when they ‘graduate’ they’ll just be simply on their own way. But it did not stop the initial 12 members from pouring out their heart and soul in their every performance with their very first single “TWINS/KNOCK OUT”. We all learned those many moments where Leeteuk would just slump in a corner out of sheer exhaustion. We all have seen those times where the actors of the group (Heechul, Siwon, and Kibum) would hurriedly go to music shows in between filming for their respective drama series and commitments. That’s when we first loved them. More than the music they try to convey; we began to love them because amidst the struggles each of them had to go through, they will NEVER fail to smile at us whenever we cheer for them. It was the beginning of a journey.

2006. We were all holding our breaths as we wait what lies ahead this group that we have come to love. But heavens must have conspired to make them a permanent group after the inclusion of the 13th member, Kyuhyun. I must admit fellow ELFs that his inclusion was a mixture of delight and worry, but Kyuhyun proved to be a lucky charm indeed. “U” was released and Super Junior had its first “Mutizen’s Choice Award”. But as victory was relished, Donghae’s father passed away and Kim Heechul got into an accident that almost cost him his life.

2007. More accidents happened. Kyuhyun had the most life-threatening of all. All of us were almost hopeless as to how could Super Junior could ever come back with the members severely injured. It didn’t help the fact that there was tension brewing amongst us. But we are united in our fervent thanks that Kyuhyun was able to join the group again and they were able to release a rockin’ anthem in “DON’T DON”. In 2008 one of our biggest dreams happened; SUPER SHOW has finally happened; we thought this is the start of Super Junior conquering the large audience of the world.

2009. This is what we can say a period of total high. “Sorry, Sorry” was released and with its powerful beats and equally powerful choreography, we had thought that this may be in fact the peak album of Super Junior. But victory was hollow, Kibum started to focus on his acting, Heechul was rumoured to follow suit and Kangin got involved in controversies. But no matter; we saw the rest of the members persevere and the whole world was soon engulfed with the explosive charms and talent of Super Junior. The year ended in the biggest exclamation point of all: Super Junior won its very first DAESANG.

2010. It was quite ironic to say this year started with a powerful BANG! when the news of Hankyung filing a suit against their management shocked all of us. Many have been hurt, but none more hurt than the members themselves. The one member people have called the coldest, Kim Heechul, broke down for the first time… and we cried along with him. We felt the anger simmering, but took it in stride as “MIINAH” was released. At that same period, we have wished Kangin well as he entered the military. We worked hard as much as they did. After all, with the emotional rollercoaster they have been in, we felt they deserved another year clutching the Daesang… you and I know what happened. Yes, we have swallowed that bitter pill and moved on, but we can NEVER forget every single second we have cried for them because we know they cannot… they will not cry for our sake.

2011. It was a year of redemption for us. The past year of 2010 have awaken all of us. In simple metaphor; they have awakened a sleeping giant. As “Mr. Simple” was released, all of us have united in a grand scale. When they undermined our strength, we broke through barriers and obstacles. When they belittled our faith, we stood firm and made an invincible foundation. When no one believed the power of ELFs, we poured out a tsunami of Pearl Sapphire Blue. And Super Junior did not let us down. They became our voice of encouragement when we all feel tired. They became the source of laughter (through Shows and Social Networking sites) when some of us are down. They have done everything in support of ELFs that they would constantly say ‘Thank you’ and ‘I Love You’ just to show their appreciation for all our efforts. If one would compare Super Junior and ELFs’ relationship, they might say we have already passed through being a married couple; SJ and ELFs treat each other as their life force. And this time we did not fail. The breath we have been holding in for so long became a breath of relief when we saw Super Junior get up in that stage and receive the Grand Prizes for Mnet Asian Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, and the most recent, the Seoul Music Awards.

Let this brief journey open up your eyes, whether as an ELF or not. The journey we have with Super Junior was filled with happiness and sadness, laughter and tears, anger and forgiveness. To all ELFs, let this remind you that as an ELF, we promised an NEVERENDING journey with Super Junior, that as Teukie always say Super Junior does NOT have an ‘END’ but ‘AND’. For the entire world who would want to know Super Junior, let this piece make you see the reason why we have worked so hard for our idols. This piece is not to argue; but more to encourage you. The first post I did (http://www.the-top-tens.com/members/visitor/blog/why-super-junior-should-perform-2012-olympics-5588.asp) was to give out Super Junior's strong points and advertise; but this post is meant to show our hearts.

Let this piece make you see why Super Junior deserves a chance to perform at the Olympics. The almost seven years of us together is not enough to say they’ve done it all. Let Super Junior perform in this world arena.

Let us have the chance to make history with Super Junior once more.

2012 to eternity… will be Super Junior’s year.

BECAUSE THEY ARE THE LAST MEN STANDING!

This post made me think of all those long and tedious times they suffered through.. And once again I cried. To people who bash on Super Junior, I don't get you.
Would you like it if you worked with all your soul, body, heart, and mind, and then people criticized you for it? You guys are all too heartless. Everyone has their own opinions. Yet you haters choose to ignore their hard work. Think about when karma will come back to bite you in the butt. Have a nice life, haters. Wait. You guys don't even have lives.
As for Super Junior.. FIGHTING! We ELF's will always be by your side to support you when it's hard and hold you when you guys cry! Don't ever doubt that ELF's will give up anything to make you guys succeed and fulfill your wish of becoming the greatest singers of this world! - visitor

I know I have been an ELF for a year and a half now but after reading this I feel like I've been through it all, I still have lots to learn and more interviews and shows to watch, I share a lot of things with them, and I only wish that I could meet them but living in a state that gets forgotten it's going to be impossible I always wish the best for them because they are simply the best out there, SJ fighting.
