Top 10 Most Anticipated Rock and Metal Albums of May 2019

The news is that, in May 2019, death metal pioneers Possessed are releasing a studio album that will be their first in 33 years.

1. Berserker - Amon Amarth

   

   I've heard two songs from this album and they've sounded like classic Amon Amarth, so I don't expect style changes or other exotic changes.

   I really like the two new songs from this album. They felt really heavy and melodic as usual. I can't wait for the album to come out!

2. Revelations of Oblivion - Possessed

   

   One of the godfathers of death metal is coming back! This is their first studio album since 1986! Three songs were released as singles: No More Room in Hell, Abandoned, and Shadowcult.

   And people are calling Hardwired. to Self-Destruct a comeback album.

3. Untitled - Rammstein

   

   Coming out on 17 May 2019. It will be their first album in 10 years. P.S. I love the cover, it's creative and speaks volumes.

   I'm so excited for this! I thought they were just releasing Deutschland this year!

4. Flesh & Blood - Whitesnake

   

   These hard rockers don't give up. They've been around since the 70s.

   I'm excited for this one. Expect some hard rock stuff on it.

   Whitesnake rules! I'm SO listening to this album!

5. Veleno - Fleshgod Apocalypse

   

   I like this band, and I would be interested in their new album, which is supposed to be death metal.

6. Age of Unreason - Bad Religion

   

   Punk rock legends are here with their seventeenth studio album.

7. The Coffin Train - Diamond Head

   

   Diamond Head was one of the metal pioneers in the early 80s, and part of the NWOBHM.

8. Humanicide - Death Angel

   

   Thrash metal is expected from this album.

9. Winter Ethereal - Arch/Matheos

   

   Arch/Matheos comprises three-fifths of the Fates Warning line-up from the Awaken the Guardian era.

   The cover of this album looks like a Black Metal album cover.

10. Castles - Daniel Tompkins

    

    This is a solo album by Tesseract's vocalist. The genre will probably be prog rock.
