Top 10 Best Pink Floyd Album Covers

The Top Ten
  1. The Dark Side of the Moon

All Floyd album covers are great. I love them all. But despite me believing Dark Side is the most overrated Pink Floyd album, the cover art is way too iconic to not say it is the best Pink Floyd cover, if not the best album cover ever.

This image is iconic throughout music. Anybody can tell you it is Pink Floyd, fan or not.

  2. Animals

I've got the first release on vinyl. Everything from the front cover to the back, to the inside. It just completely visualizes what you feel in Animals.

  3. The Division Bell

  4. Obscured by Clouds

  5. Wish You Were Here

This album cover has some deep meaning.

  6. A Momentary Lapse of Reason

  7. The Final Cut

  8. Atom Heart Mother

    Look at the cow, dahlings.

The cow actually has some deep meaning behind it. Well, it's cute, and it also symbolizes unpredictability. Now, Atom Heart Mother is a psychedelic album. But look at how simple this is. This also represents Syd Barrett's erratic behaviour. He was a very interesting and unpredictable man.

But the main reason why it's so good is because it is so cute! Cats and cows are my favourite animals. In fact, I have three real indoor cats and 25 miniature models of Holstein cows! I could go on and on about this album cover, so I will! I haven't even started yet!

Here is some information about the cover:

    1. The cow symbolizes insanity and unpredictability. Of course, the cow isn't insane at all.

    2. Storm, Pink Floyd's photographer, was asked to take a photo of something simple, and something that doesn't fit with the music. So he drove out to the countryside and took a picture of the first cow he saw.

    3. The farmer who kept the cow identified its name as Lulubelle III.

This should be number one because of so many reasons. Also, wondering about the music? This is Pink Floyd's most underrated album. It has the beautiful, emotional title suite that takes up side one. Side two is focused on more individual songs.

If: A calming, acoustic ballad with great lyrics by Roger Waters.

Summer '68: A Richard Wright song with an amazing brass band.

Fat Old Sun: Another great acoustic song by David Gilmour.

Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast: The best song on the album.

So, come on, everybody, feel sympathy for the cow! Besides, who doesn't love cows?

  18. A Saucerful of Secrets

This ain't number one. I can't believe it. This album cover is so shiny and full of light, man. I hate this. Come on, Animals is number one? Whatever, that is just a power plant. This should be number one.
