Best Survivor Songs

The Top Ten
1 Eye of the Tiger

This is definitely the most awesome song on the face of the Earth. This song used to be my favorite already, but recently, when my crush sang it with me twice, I knew this song would mean more to me than anything else.

When I listen to this song, it gives me the power to beat my enemies! The best song by Survivor! I listen to it every day. This song is the "King of Kings!"

This song is a good inspirational song when you are working out. It makes you feel stronger and somewhat invincible. I love this song a lot! Keep it up!

2 I Can't Hold Back

Amazing song. It makes me cry because it reminds me of the girl whom I loved.

Hands down, the best song with Jamison vocals!

I have to get this beautiful song.

3 Burning Heart

In my opinion, Rocky IV is perhaps the best Rocky movie. Both III and IV have some of my favorite soundtracks (thanks, Survivor, you legends). Between the two, it's like choosing between Ms. Jackson and Hey Ya! I like Hey Ya! and it's crazy popular, but I absolutely love Ms. Jackson. Barely any songs make me feel like Ms. Jackson does. Burning Heart is one of the other songs that make me want to listen to it forever. Some other ones include Basket Case, Highway Star, and Changes/The Way It Is (both Crosby and 2Pac's versions).

4 The Search is Over

A career-defining performance from the late Jimi Jamison. A truly beautiful song!

Just listen to the words. It speaks for itself.

5 High On You

Most people probably have no clue Survivor sings this song, even though they rock out to it every day on the radio. That's the kind of song it is. Everyone knows it, but no one knows who sings it. It's the mark of a truly great song because it doesn't matter about band allegiance. It's all up to the music!

This is one of a few songs that always manages to put me in a bubbly mood whenever I hear it. It has a special power over me in that way.

Incredibly powerful song. One of the best. It takes me back in time to my first love.

6 Man Against the World

This may be the saddest song in the world. I cried the first time I heard it, but that is the magic of Survivor that makes it amazing. Vote this up. It shouldn't be at 13!

Such a great ballad by Survivor. In my opinion, it is actually in the top 3 of their best ballads. It definitely should be close to or in the top 5 best songs by Survivor.

I did the math. This is Survivor's best song. Not kidding.

Also, this might be the saddest song in the world. It's a shame it's not higher than 14.

7 Ever Since the World Began

A truly amazing and poetic song from an awesome Sylvester Stallone film, Lock Up!

8 Is This Love

I don't know how this is at number 8. This is a top 5, even top 3 track for Survivor. Very catchy, you can sing along to it, nice guitar solo, and good lyrics.

This song, along with Burning Heart and Eye of the Tiger, is in the top 3 Survivor songs. This song makes me want to cry. Long live Rocky and Survivor!

9 Broken Promises

Best song ever released by the band. It's hard to pick one because they have so many. This one, though, is not just a simplistic love song. It speaks both philosophically and sociologically about life and relationships. It also has clever lyrics and, along with the music, creates both joy and melancholy. Absolute gem.

Although I tend to like the Bickler era songs better, Broken Promises is arguably my favorite from Jimi Jamison.

10 Didn't Know It Was Love

This one is overlooked a lot because it was from Too Hot to Sleep, which didn't gain much attention. But this song is very good and pulls at your heartstrings with the lyrics.

The best song from their best album, Too Hot to Sleep. Can't believe it hasn't even made the top 10!

The Contenders
11 Burning Bridges

One of the most underrated songs of all time. It is one of Survivor's best.

12 Poor Man's Son

Underrated song from Survivor. I like how they use the keyboard a lot in this one. Altogether, it belongs in the top 10 best Survivor songs.

13 American Heartbeat

This song makes me feel like running in the streets at 1:00 in the morning. It's the only way I feel like I'm in the '80s!

This song should be number 5 or 6, not 7. Please vote this one up. Great singing, guitar, bass, and drums.

14 Can't Let You Go

This should be in the top 10. It's one of their lesser-known songs, but when you listen to it, it really brings the rock theme back. It's so catchy. It's my third or fourth favorite from Survivor, behind I Can't Hold Back and Man Against the World.

15 First Night

I like how upbeat this song is. It has a great upbeat sound. I highly recommend this one.

16 Oceans
17 Caught in the Game
18 Popular Girl

This one really showcases Survivor's sense of humor, and it's got all the other good qualities that are present in all of Survivor's other songs.

19 Hungry Years
20 Feels Like Love

Criminally underrated! There's just such an energy to it. I wish more people knew about songs like this.

This is one of my top 5 songs from the Dave Bickler period. It's just as upbeat as Eye of the Tiger.

21 I See You In Everyone

This sums up my senior year in high school. I was trying to make a move with my crush, but there were thousands of people who looked just like her from the back. I literally saw her in everyone.

Listen, just because Eye of the Tiger is their most popular song doesn't make it the best. The entire Vital Signs album is flawless, but this song takes the cake.

This song should be in the top ten. I don't know why it's down here at #22. Great lyrics in the song.

22 I'm Not That Man Anymore

I didn't know Jimi Jamison sang this song. The video the other guy is talking about is one of the few live performances they have on YouTube.

Come on, guys. The live performance from Tokyo, 1985, with Jimi on vocals is unbelievable.

23 The Moment of Truth

Such a motivational song. If you're ever depressed and in need of a confidence boost, listen to this song. It is so underrated and deserves way more praise.

24 Jackie Don't Go

I really like this song. It has great lyrics and a great tune. This is also a sad song about a guy who doesn't want his love to leave him.

Sure, I like "Eye of the Tiger" and the rest of them, but this is a beauty. My favorite song from Caught in the Game.

"Jackie no, Jackie don't go,
You're a hard act to follow --
Jackie go slow, Jackie please,
I'm down on my knees, let's do it again."

It's the only song by Survivor that has managed to show up on my top songs on Spotify every year since 2016.
