The Wörld Is Yours is the 20th studio album by the band Motörhead, released on December 14, 2010, as an exclusive edition, and a month later on January 17, 2011, as a standard release. It was recorded at NRG Studios in Hollywood, California, Maple Studios in Santa Ana, California, and Sage and Sound Studios in Hollywood, California. This album marked the first collaboration with the UDR GmbH label of Germany and featured distribution by EMI in most territories. Motörhead Music also made a comeback in production with this release.

The album was first released as an ecobook, which was part of a special edition of Future PLC's Classic Rock magazine. This edition included interviews with the band and a history of their career. The standard CD release of The Wörld Is Yours was launched worldwide several weeks later through Motörhead's own label, Motörhead Music, and was distributed by EMI Label Services. The album was subsequently released in North America on February 8, 2011.
Two special editions of the album were also announced. The first featured the album bundled with a bonus live DVD showcasing a performance from the 2006 Wacken Open Air festival in Germany, as well as an exclusive T-shirt. The second version included all of these contents along with a signed copy of the album pressed on silver vinyl.
As part of their effort to promote The Wörld Is Yours in the U.S., the band appeared on Conan O'Brien's late-night talk show Conan and NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, performing "Get Back in Line" on both occasions.
