Top 10 Types of People We Shouldn't Really Laugh At
It sickens me when people make fun of someone with a brain disorder or a walking disability. It's not easy living that way. Sometimes, they don't even have a choice. Disorders are no laughing matter, as they can negatively affect someone's life.
Every time I see any joke or insult relating to autism, I want to shoot myself in the head and die.
Very few autistic people are bad. Most are very mature and super smart. They don't screech, talk about trains nonstop, or yell about Minecraft, Sonic, or FNAF.
I have autism, and let me tell you, it makes it hard to fit in, so don't laugh at us. Also, don't use "autistic" as an insult. That just makes me angry.
I know one person who has autism. He is young, probably not even in kindergarten yet. He is cute, and I saw him switch from being nice to mad very quickly.
Yeah, this is a serious issue. Take this as #1 - this MUST be stopped!
It's really disgusting how many "asking for it" jokes exist out there.
We shouldn't laugh at people who have dwarfism. People with dwarfism will not appreciate it if you make fun of them. Instead, treat them the same way you treat anyone else, with respect. So stop making fun of dwarfs, or else you will get the wrong end of the stick.
My cousin did this once, and let's just say he got the wrong end of the stick.
One of my best friends is short, and I don't call him a midget.
I have been the butt of this kind of humor many times in the past. I will get frustrated with something in my environment or with the way someone is treating me, and all anyone does is laugh.
On a similar note, "cute when mad" isn't as much of a compliment as many people think. It isn't saying "you are cute." It says "I find your anger/problem/distress amusing and I do not plan on taking you seriously." When put that way, "cute when mad" is really terrifying.
People with phobias can't help it. They don't choose to be scared of something - they may have had a bad experience and are now deathly afraid of it. You laugh at a phobic person, and you're just being insensitive. You wouldn't laugh at a blind person for being blind. You wouldn't laugh at a Black person for being Black. So treat phobic people the same way.
I've always been made fun of for my intense monophobia. Once, I actually got ditched in the middle of the forest because my friend thought it was funny to see the look on my face while she was hidden away in the bushes.
Then, the next day, I threw a spider at her face. That was a good day.
Check if they are okay first, at least. There's something that has always bugged me about shows like World's Funniest Fails, Crashletes, and America's Funniest Home Videos that seem to revolve around the same joke over and over again: injury is funny. While it can be funny if the person was clearly being reckless or unsafe, or insistent that they would not hurt themselves, it gets stale and insensitive when it is a joke about someone who could end up in the hospital due to a freak accident.
I have a pretty intense life right now. It would break my heart if someone laughed at me. It's not my fault that my grandma died, my dad is in extreme pain in the hospital, two people in my family are in the hospital, and I have had terrible memories, and my friend dumped me - all in the past two months. I should stop talking now.
I have the worst dark life, and it never ends when people think I'm happy... NEVER.
People in this generation are just greedy. They say they are Christian, but they can represent all seven sins in a day.
I want to help poor kids with no home, but I keep forgetting to write the dang number! Ugh, I'm so stupid.
People hate Justin Bieber because of social media. The same thing would've happened with Aaron Carter in the '90s if social media was around.
I do hate Justin Bieber, but I'm getting sick of people laughing at his fans. This needs to stop.
Why do people hate Justin Bieber so much?
One tenant was racist, asking my mom if there were any apartments with no African Americans.
Gay people are humans. It's like if a gay person walked up to you and said, "Haha! You're straight!" It's just not right, and this generation needs to realize that not everyone can be the same.
We've had enough hate already. If I see a kid make fun of another kid because he's gay, I don't care if there's a teacher nearby, I will slap them.
I'm smart, but I NEVER make fun of anyone who isn't in advanced classes. I hate it when people make fun of kids who need more help. I think it's rude.
It's okay to laugh at someone who happens to be fat for doing something funny, but using their size to make a joke is where the problem lies. So many people love to talk about how they "just want them to be healthy," but ridiculing people for their size is not the way to go about it - especially if they did not ask. I say this as someone who is very short and slim, who, despite never being a victim of fatphobic jokes, knows what it is like to be made fun of based on how you look.
Let people be themselves. They are just jealous that someone is actually beating their grades. Nerds are highly intelligent, and some people are so misguided that they believe what they see in cartoons is true. Just because nerds are portrayed as weak in TV shows doesn't mean a nerd in real life can't get a girl. People are dumb, especially those sports fanatics in school.
Don't laugh at them!
Unlike most of the people on this mostly stupid list, nerds are actually worth standing up for. They made your phone!
Some of us are actually nice and don't attack you.
Plain and simple, this needs to be number one. There are just some scary people in this world you do NOT want to upset.
