Top 10 Characters in the Arrowverse

You've seen them fight metahumans, bend time, rewrite reality, die, come back to life, and somehow still find time for romantic drama in between. The Arrowverse isn't just one show. It's a sprawling playground of masked vigilantes, brilliant scientists, mystical forces, and the occasional talking gorilla.

You've got tech geniuses cracking jokes one minute and hacking satellites the next. Super speed, time travel, alternate Earths. It's all in a week's work.

From the gritty alleys of Star City to the multiverse-hopping chaos aboard the Waverider, every corner of this universe has introduced a new hero or villain who's carved out their space in the chaos. Some characters are unforgettable because they're walking one-liners. Others because they've carried entire story arcs on their back. And then there are those who started out annoying and, through sheer character development sorcery, ended up as fan favorites.

This list brings together the fan-voted favorites across all the shows that make up the Arrowverse. That includes Arrow, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Constantine, and Vixen.

The Top Ten
  1. Barry Allen/The Flash

The greatest and most powerful hero. Way faster than Kryptonians. He can phase through one if he had to fight one. Lightning attacks, intelligence, a good team, and a solid moral code. He is very fast. In Season 3, he ran from Kansas to China and back with a large man in his arms in about three seconds. The best.

I'm more of a Marvel fan, but The Flash and Batman are DC heroes that I like. Barry is so inspiring and awesome. He's number one in DC.

He can kill anyone in the Arrowverse due to the extreme number of abilities the Speedforce gives him.

  2. Oliver Queen/Green Arrow

He is a more mature and well-rounded character (in my opinion) than Barry Allen. I find it amusing when Barry tries to be serious, but it is the complete opposite with Oliver. His personality reflects his seriousness. My only issue is his relationship with Felicity. Her character became terrible in Season 3 when she got more comfortable with Oliver. She felt her opinion was more valid than his and didn't respect him. Other than that, he is by far the best.

I feel like he is the most clever superhero in the Arrowverse. He doesn't need superpowers like The Flash and definitely not like Supergirl.

  3. Sara Lance/White Canary

She's talented and inspiring but also has her flaws. The perfect character.

Sara Lance is a great combat fighter, and her moves are fast.

Best character! Best Black and White Canary! I love her!

  4. Cisco Ramon/Vibe

Cisco Ramon, also known as Vibe, is a character in the TV show The Flash. He is a tech genius at S.T.A.R. Labs who later develops the ability to perceive and manipulate interdimensional vibrations. Cisco's humorous personality, frequent pop culture references, and evolution into a superhero add energy... read more

The smartest character in the Arrowverse so far. His IQ is definitely higher than Felicity's (not by a lot, but definitely). Amazing sense of humor, greatest character development, and powers that are unquestionably powerful. 10/10.

Comedian of The Flash. One of the best for sure!

Cisco is in his rightful spot in the top 5. Good.

  5. Kara Danvers/Supergirl

I'm sorry, I prefer Barry and Oliver, but Kara is FAR better than Sara in my opinion and is definitely the third-best character.

Supergirl gives hope. She lifts spirits in such a way that I don't find anyone else could.

She is awesome, yes, damn awesome!

  6. Harrison Wells

Harrison Wells is a character in the TV show The Flash. He is a brilliant scientist and the founder of S.T.A.R. Labs. Throughout the series, multiple versions of Wells from different universes appear, each with unique personalities, motivations, and secrets. These variants add complexity and intrigue... read more

Harrison Wells is the one who helped Cisco, Flash, and Caitlin. Without him, Flash wouldn't know all the cool tricks and gimmicks. He is the backbone of the team, the brain, the power.

Harrison Wells is the best. We like every Wells. But we don't have any more, so I hope we can get one in Episode 5, Season 7 of The Flash.

Every single Harrison Wells was unique and holds a special place in my heart! Even Thawne. He was the start of The Flash!

  7. Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash

Are there any other characters in any shows or movies that manipulate the main character's emotions so intensely? First, he kills his mother, then frames his father. He inspires him, strikes him with lightning, gives him superpowers, becomes his friend, traumatizes him and his loved ones, and causes the deaths of his sister's fiancé and his friend's husband. Then he dies, only to return and murder his daughter five years later. Who else does that?

Hands down the most threatening villain we have seen so far. Played by the best actor on The Flash, the amazing Tom Cavanagh. Due to these two key points, he has become a character that fans adore.

  8. Leonard Snart/Captain Cold

Leonard Snart, portrayed by Wentworth Miller, is a character in the TV show The Flash and its spin-off Legends of Tomorrow. He is a skilled thief and strategist who uses a cold gun to execute heists. Snart's calculated nature and shifting alliances make him a compelling antihero in the Arrowverse. His... read more

Easily one of the best personalities CW has birthed. Leonard's composed, meticulous planning makes him a dangerous foe and one of the Flash's biggest rivals. What I love about him is his reserved patience. While it can be cold and unassuming, his nobility and tactical genius make him a great leader.

This character made me watch Legends!

  9. Felicity Smoak

Felicity Smoak is a DC Comics character who first appeared in The Fury of Firestorm #23 in 1984. She was created by writer Gerry Conway and artist Rafael Kayanan. Although initially a minor character in the comics, Felicity became a central figure in the Arrowverse TV shows, particularly in Arrow, where... read more

Felicity was just a woman who was scared but then grew into no fear and now a badass.

She was hilarious and had a good character arc.

  10. Slade Wilson/Deathstroke

Deathstroke is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez. Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke the Terminator, is a mercenary and assassin who first appeared in The New Teen Titans #2... read more

Slade Wilson was very good to Oliver, helped him, and taught him everything. Without Slade, there would be no Green Arrow. Also, he was a good villain.

My second favorite villain in the Arrowverse.

    Best Arrowverse villain for sure!

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Ryan Wilder/Batwoman

  13. ?

    Jennifer Pierce

  14. The Contenders
  15. Caitlin Snow

She is an interesting character, and I love her and Caitlin equally!

How on earth is she #29? Her backstory is the most interesting and intense in the whole Arrowverse.

  16. Thea Queen

Love watching her kick ass. Willa Holland is my celebrity crush. She's fit and has the perfect body. Pretty face too. Everybody goes on about Sara, Laurel, and Kara, but Willa as Thea is the best. She's so gosh darn hot.

Thea was also like her brother's wife. But she grew into fighting people and kicking ass.

She is my favorite character in Arrow. I wish she'd stayed on Team Arrow.

  17. John Diggle

John Diggle, portrayed by David Ramsey, is a character in the TV show Arrow. He is a former United States Army Special Forces soldier who becomes Oliver Queen's trusted bodyguard, confidant, and partner in vigilantism. Diggle's unwavering loyalty, tactical skill, and moral integrity play a key role in... read more

Oliver's best friend earned his status with Oliver, unlike Felicity, who never was taught manners. John set Oliver's mind straight when he was doing something stupid and fought alongside him. Loved his character.

John Diggle helps Arrow and all of his friends. He will do anything right. Do y'all remember he was just a bodyguard with a gun?

  18. John Constantine

  19. Julian Albert

  20. Adrian Chase/Prometheus

Favorite villain in the Arrowverse. Maybe he was weak in terms of strength, but the psychological warfare between him and Oliver brought out the best in the two characters.

Prometheus is the best villain. Without him, I don't think Arrow would have gotten eight seasons.

  21. Malcolm Merlyn

Malcolm Merlyn, portrayed by John Barrowman, is a character in the TV show Arrow. He is a wealthy businessman and skilled archer who operates as the Dark Archer. Malcolm's complex motivations and personal connections to several main characters drive many of the show's conflicts. His morally ambiguous... read more

He is one hell of a villain. Amazing. He should be higher than 27. Love him!

Awesome villain in both Arrow and DC.

  22. Ray Palmer/The Atom

The Atom is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by editor and co-plotter Julius Schwartz, writer Gardner Fox, and penciler Gil Kane. Ray Palmer, the most well-known incarnation of the Atom, debuted in Showcase #34 in 1961 and was one... read more

  23. Roy Harper/Arsenal

I'm going to say he should be higher because he said he was Arrow so Oliver could be safe.

  24. Laurel Lance/Black Canary

  25. Mick Rory/Heat Wave

  26. Jefferson Jackson/Firestorm

  27. Iris West

Pretty good love interest, all things considered.

  28. Damien Darhk

  29. Rip Hunter
