Top 10 TV Shows that Could Have Been Better Than They Were

These are shows that had the potential to be more than what they were. That doesn’t just mean they had to be bad shows that could of been great, but also good shows that could have been better, or even great shows that could have been nearly perfect.
The Top Ten
Once Upon a Time

There should have been a better thought-out plot line for the show as a whole. It felt like the show was making it up season by season.

Also, there were a lot of storylines that went nowhere.

Glee Glee is an American musical comedy-drama television series that aired on the Fox network in the United States from May 19, 2009, to March 20, 2015. All I can say is this show had some of the worst plot holes I have ever seen, like Rachel dropping out from a Broadway show to star in a TV show. The whole series was about her dream of being a big Broadway star. On top of that, most of the characters had very little character development and seemed to get worse as the show went on.

Overall, this show was a disaster after the first season.

It was hinted in the show that Vlad Masters / Vlad Plasmius would get a redemption story, but it never came to fruition. That was a shame.

Also, a return of Dark Danny from "The Ultimate Enemy" would have been awesome.

Gargoyles Gargoyles is an American animated series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and Buena Vista Television, and originally aired from October 24, 1994 to February 15, 1997. The series features a species of nocturnal creatures known as gargoyles that turn to stone during the day.

I felt the show went downhill when the human public found out about the Gargoyles. There was way too much drama after that, with Season 3 being dreadful. It would have been better if the Gargoyles remained the secret defenders of New York.

Adventures of the Gummi Bears

I would love to see a remake of Gummi Bears, like the way Disney did a remake of the DuckTales series. The biggest change I would make is that the villain Duke Sigmund Igthorn would have a daughter he truly loved and that he blames King Gregor for the death of his wife. I imagine Igthorn's daughter being very sarcastic and cynical but having a soft spot for her father and the ogres.

In fact, I see the ogres saving her life after her dad was banished, at which time Igthorn seized control of Castle Drekmore and the ogres. Also, I see Igthorn's daughter and Princess Calla being great friends before the banishment, but now there's a great rivalry between them.

Supergirl Supergirl is the superhero name of Kara Zor-El, cousin to Superman. She was created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino in 1959, and she first appeared in Action Comics, in whose first issue Superman himself was introduced... read more

The biggest mistake the show made was how the writing was so painfully predictable between Supergirl and Lena Luthor. We knew if Supergirl didn't tell Lena about her secret identity, Kara Danvers, Lena would get very angry and feel deeply hurt that Kara didn't trust her with her secret, especially since basically everyone else knew. And surprise, surprise, that's exactly what happened.

The writers could have chosen a less predictable path to go down, but they just decided to copy the Smallville storyline. To sum it up, the show's biggest mistake was lazy writing.

The Legend of Korra The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series that aired on the Nickelodeon television network from 2012 to 2014. It was created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino as a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Tangled: The Series

Great first two seasons, but the show made a mistake when they had Cassandra betray Rapunzel. It would have been better if somehow Gothel came back to life in the season 2 finale and took the role Cassandra had in season 3.

OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes is an American superhero comedy animated series created by Ian Jones-Quartey.
Game of Thrones Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones.

The show was amazing until the last season. First, they destroyed Daenerys's character by making her insane like her dad and killing a lot of innocent people. Then you have Jon Snow making a lot of dumb decisions, which contributed to Daenerys going insane. Lastly, making Bran king was so random it just made the fans angry.

Overall, this show was amazing until the last season. If you are going to watch it, just skip the last season and you will be happy.

In the later seasons, it would have been exciting to see Jade transform back into the Queen of the Shadowkhan. There was so much hinting at that in season 4, but it never happened.

To be honest, I don't see a grownup Jade becoming a white knight hero like her Uncle Jackie. I believe she would have gotten bored with that life. I see Jade either becoming an antihero or a leader of a crime syndicate of thieves with a code.

Star Trek: Enterprise

The show started off OK, but it ended quite badly. The main problem with Star Trek: Enterprise is that the show had to live up to the legacy of the Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, and Voyager, which was very difficult. The show's theme song, despite being a good song in its own right, was also incredibly out of place as a Star Trek theme.

The show is still miles better than Discovery and Picard.
