How is this even underrated? In the beginning it was pretty much underrated but after 12th season... it begann to downfall...

The first 5 seasons were so good, so I had to watch it until the end. I don't want to spoil the plot. All I can to say is that it got more and more confusing after like the 7th season...

The most original show I've ever watched in all my 21 years of living on this planet, that could never be compared to any other show.
Full of anything & everything you can think of, Family, drama, laughs, tears, love, hate, amazing actors, amazing writers. Once you watch, you literally cannot just walk away from it, it stays with you!
The actors might be sexy as ever, but one thing I can say, they may be sexy but they are some of the best actors I have ever seen. For actors that get thrown some of the situations that they get thrown all the time, they never fail to hit right on the mark!
Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins never fail to do an amazing job.

2 Firefly Firefly is an American space Western drama television series which ran from 2002–2003, created by writer and director Joss Whedon, under his Mutant Enemy Productions label.

A huge SCANDAL in history cancelling the show! It could have been one of the best shows ever. It's incredible how much you already like the characters after one season...

A brilliant western/sci-fi show that caught me by surprise... highly recommended!

If any show warranted a reboot it was Firefly. If it were made today, Netflix would have bought the rights and continued the show.

If they'd ever given it a steady time slot, it would still be on.

3 Person of Interest

On of the greatest shows on television, the acting is phenomenal, especially by Michael Emerson, it has a moving story with a blend of crime drama, politics, and action. Lots of standout episodes and of the the best series finales of all time

4 Arrested Development Arrested Development is an American television sitcom created by Mitchell Hurwitz, which originally aired on Fox for three seasons from November 2, 2003 to February 10, 2006, followed by a two-season revival on Netflix from May 26, 2013 to March 15, 2019. SO underrated. Got cancelled and it was a hilarious show with very funny plotlines and the stories always came together very well and in a funny way. George Michael FTW

The only reason this was canceled was because it was very underrated. This is a great show and is funny to anyone. I urge you to find it on netflix and watch the 1st episode. You'll be hooked

Honestly, this was the American version of "The Office" before "The Office" even aired. Such a funny show, and I usually strongly dislike comedies

5 Angel Angel is an American television series, a spin-off from the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I watch half of the show by time I know they on. Then went off. My luck.

By far, the best spin-off ever.

Fantastic show

6 Scrubs Premiering in 2001, this American medical comedy-drama follows the lives of doctors and nurses working at Sacred Heart Hospital. The series blends medical realities with humor and emotional moments, and has been acclaimed for its writing and performances.

One of the only shows that had hilarious moments and then a couple minutes later had touching or inspirational moments. The soundtrack was impeccable along with the casting (just look at the janitor, todd, and ted). I've learned more life lessons from this show than anywhere else, but I've also laughed as much with this show as others.

No one talks about this when naming big sitcoms and yet it arguably has elements of all of them hilariously and emotionally wrapped into one hospital full of caricatures, life lessons, and most importantly a universal sense of empathy not only between the characters but with the viewers as well

This is one of the funniest show I ever watched that is underrated, besides Arrested Development. I understand why some of the shows are underrated, but these two shouldn't have been.

7 Futurama Futurama is an American animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company.

One of the most brilliant show that I ever had the privilege to experience. Way better than any current sitcom without a doubt. Just 7 seasons though. This show had unlimited potential. Any naysayer can bite my shiny metal...

Amazingly funny show, satirical, intelligent, and I love how the whole series is joined together and that there is a reason for pretty much everything that happens in it, which ties together later in the series

Not the best cartoon ever and there have been some bad episodes over the years and I mean really bad ones but is funny moost of the time and that is what cartoon is meant to do.

8 Hannibal
9 Chuck Chuck is an American action-comedy/spy-drama television series created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak.

Could have been better developed given more time. Still one of the best during a renaissance year.

I agree. Best show ever!

Best show ever. Period.

10 That '70s Show That '70s Show is an American television period sitcom that originally aired on Fox from August 23, 1998, to May 18, 2006. The series focused on the lives of a group of teenage friends living in the fictional suburban town of Point Place, Wisconsin, from May 17, 1976, to December 31, 1979.

How is supernatural underrated man? This beats me... People are going nuts over it...
As for 'That 70s Show', well, it's outrageously witty. The show has given the world of entertainment, many stars...

The only sitcom I can watch any time. Full of loveable and funny characters - with an awesome reconstrcuted 70s atmosphere - back in the time when the radio played real music

The Newcomers

? Doc

This is the most underrated tv show. I mean, look at the last episode. The proposal, it is so beautiful. I watched it like 100 times. Not even kidding. It is the best tv show, and you should check it out.

I loved the proposal, and the whole show was the perfect amount of comedy, romance, and suspense. I loved it.

? Michael McIntyre's The Wheel
The Contenders
11 Psych Psych is an American detective comedy-drama television series created by Steve Franks and broadcast on USA Network with syndicated reruns on ION Television.

Psych is so underrated. It is very funny and the writers are very talented. I think that some people are to busy watching stupid shows, they get blindsided and they don't recognize good shows when they see them. I lot of people haven't heard of it, and that is what gets me. I have been watching Psych since I was little. Thank goodness watchathon week was on on demand so anyone could watch most shows for free that they couldn't before because it costed money, and Psych was one of them. I couldn't take my eyes off it. Psych keeps you on your toes, and adds so much humer, its unimaginable. Plus, I love all the references they make. I just wish that more people knew about it!

Such a hilarious show! I love Shawn and Gus and how they know each other so well. Their friendship has lasted for so long and held up strong. Really makes you wish for friends like them so you can go on wacky detective adventures!

12 The 100 The 100 is a fantasy-drama based live action show based of a book by Kass Morgan. The show was aired for the first time on March 19, 2014. I mean, I really loved the first 2 seasons (season 2 is easily the best season out of all of them) but this latest season (7) is a bit all over the place

YES! NEEDS TO BE HIGHER! SO THOUGHT PROVOKING AND INTERESTING. This show has made me laugh, cry, and make me on the edge of my seat! I love it so much! I love all the plot lines and plot twists, it is so unpredictable and full of surprises! The characters are likable and relatable, and I can never get enough of it! So glad I watched this show!

As much as I love Supernatural, it is far from underrated and The 100 wins.

Doesn't get a lot of love. I love this show...

13 La Femme Nikita

This show is so boring, I fall asleep every time I try to watch it!

Dam good show can't wait for the new season. Hurry up

Peta Wilson is so hot.

14 Dexter's Laboratory Dexter's Laboratory is an American comic science fiction animated television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network, and the first of the network's Cartoon Cartoons. The show is about a kid scientist named Dexter that has a sister named Dee Dee that keeps breaking into his lab.

This show is not on anymore, but when it was it was pretty underrated.

So cool yet underrated, too bad it was cancelled.

The one that started cartoon network

15 The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (also known as Billy & Mandy) is an American animated television series created by Maxwell Atoms for Cartoon Network, and is the 14th of the network's Cartoon Cartoons (albeit namely when it was part of Grim & Evil; the show is considered separate from Cartoon Cartoons otherwise). It follows two children named Billy — a slow-witted boy — and Mandy — the cynical best friend — who, after winning a limbo game to save Billy's pet hamster, gain the mighty Grim Reaper as their best friend in eternal servitude and slavery.

Really dark and surreal

16 Archer

The fact that this show does not receive any were near the publicity of awfully dumb shows such as Family Guy is criminal. This show is not only absolutely hilarious, but it is also intelligent and brilliant in every possible way. For those of you who don't watch this, your heading right into the "DANGER ZONE"!

Wait... I had something for this.
Archer is right now the best adult comedy. Very crude yet extremely smart writing. Season 6 airs January 2015 on FX, take a look for yourself. I bet you'll find it anything short of awesome.

17 Buffy the Vampire Slayer Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American television series created by Joss Whedon under his production tag, Mutant Enemy Productions with later co-executive producers being Jane Espenson, David Fury, David Greenwalt, Doug Petrie, Marti Noxon, and David Solomon. This show is not underrated but overrated. Now that it's finished it's still overrated. This show had annoying characters. For instance, Buffy who couldn't get over with her break up with this stupid Angel character for at least 4 seasons, Willow who acted like a retard and who was supposed to be a genius, Giles the English librarian who seems to have a speech problem, Dawn the hysteric sister with overdramatic manners. The coolest person in fact was Cordellia who realized how stup,.id this characters were. So glad this show is over!

I have been watching this show since it first came out in 1997 and I still watch it now, nearly ten years since the final episode and it never fails to make me cry, laugh, smile, angry etc. Overall, the best television show to ever grace the silver screen.

The best show ever made, just awesome from start to end. It should've been praised more and be given more attention had people opened their mind up to that kind of shows. Overall, Buffy rules.

18 Death Note Death Note is a Japanese television drama anime series based on the manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The show is centered around Light Yagami - a promising highschooler and aspiring detective with a strong sense of "justice".

Sorry, but in the world of anime, Death Note is overrated. Sure, there are a lot of people who aren't into anime, and this list is just T.V. shows in general, but Death Note underrated? Definitely not.

The story of a book that when you write a name in the book it kills them, falling into the wrong hands. Simple yet genius. A show that not underratedbut worth watching.

Death Note isn't underrated. It's usually(if not always) in the top 5 when people rank the best animes. I like Death Note but it definitely doesn't deserve to be on this list.

Please, this is a really good anime, but it is not even close to underrated

19 Malcolm In the Middle Malcolm in the Middle is an American television sitcom created by Linwood Boomer for the Fox Broadcasting Company . The series received critical acclaim and won a Peabody Award, seven Emmy Awards, one Grammy Award, and seven Golden Globe nominations .

This is a funny show, and I love it to bits. It is most definitely underrated

Most Underrated Sitcom of all Time.

The Middle and Modern Family as well

Much better than today's sitcoms

20 Atomic Betty Atomic Betty is a Canadian-French animated television series that debuted in 2004. Created by Trevor Bentley, Mauro Casalese, Olaf Miller, and Rob Davies, the series centers on a young girl named Betty who moonlights as a Galactic Guardian. The show mixes slice-of-life elements with sci-fi adventures, as Betty juggles her normal life with her space-faring exploits. Atomic Betty received positive reviews for its strong female protagonist and engaging storylines.
21 Rocko's Modern Life Rocko's Modern Life is an American animated television series created by Joe Murray for Nickelodeon. The series centers on the surreal life of an anthropomorphic Australian-immigrant wallaby named Rocko as well as his friends: the gluttonous steer Heffer, the neurotic turtle Filburt, and Rocko's faithful dog Spunky.

This was an excellent show. In fact, its only weakness was that 1) it was designed mostly for older kids an younger kids didn't understand it, 2) its top three most adult jokes still have not made it past censors, 3) its running time was questionable, and 4) it took about 21 years for the show to finally get complete DVD support on a single box set. Though one harsh d-bag critic at Entertainment Weekly may have dismissed it as a "witless Ren&Stimpy ripoff" (false) "with tons of mucus jokes and not enough surreality" (bald-faced lies), this show was a testament to clever writing, memorable episodes, edgy humor, hilarious dialogue, brilliant life satire, and excellent art style. I may not love it to death, but I definitely enjoy its style. I will probably buy the Complete Series someday. Classic little show, and one of my top 5 favorite cartoons.

Scratch that, I personally totally loved this show to death. I just didn't buy any merchandise

This show was awesome.

22 Dead Like Me

One of my very favorite shows. Loved the concept. Great writing and acting

23 National Geographic Specials

For a century, National Geographic has touched our society with its outstanding educational videos

24 The Thundermans The Thundermans is an American tween sitcom created by Jed Springarn. The show first aired in 2013. This show is about a family of superheroes who have adjusted to living a normal suburban life. On July 27, 2017, Nickelodeon released a statement to J-14, stating that the series has wrapped production after 4 seasons and 103 episodes. The series ended on May 25th, 2018.

No, it deserves the hate it gets. The laugh track plays every second and it's a rip-off of Wizards of Waverly Place and The Incredibles.

It's overrated because of the laugh tracks, and because it copies Lab Rats, The Incredibles & Wizards of Waverly Place.

25 Ready Jet Go Ready Jet Go! is a CGI animated television series created by Craig Bartlett which premiered in the United States as part of the PBS Kids block on February 15, 2016 .
