220? Really There are a lot of books around the world but I still think this should be quite a bit higher. I love the plot and theme of the story (but not the evil mayor"). I once drew out of a sack and I got messenger!

287 Fight Club - Chuck Palahnuik

If you die without reading Fight Club then you have made a very big mistake

288 Cryptonomicon - Neal Stephenson

I think it's Stephenson's best. This book is about war and information, like Quicksilver (and co.) are about economics and information, or Snow Crash is about (post)modernity and information. This one's the most gripping in my opinion, difficult to put down sometimes, and you can't help but feel proud about getting through such a brick. - airbb
