Top 10 Different Songs with the Same Title
Covers don't count!
Format: Song title - list of artists who have songs with this title.
-
Hello - Adele, Evanescence, Beyonce, the Cat Empire, Eminem, Martin Solveig, Dragonette, Oasis, Lionel Richie
The Evanescence one is the saddest song I have ever heard. I think I actually prefer it over Adele's now.
That's way too many songs with the same title.
-
Bad - U2, Michael Jackson
I love U2's Bad. It's such an emotional performance.
-
One - Metallica, Creed, Simple Plan, Ed Sheeran
Three Dog Night, written by Harry Nilsson. There's also a song called "One" in the musical "A Chorus Line."
Metallica should never be in the same sentence as Ed Sheeran, Simple Plan, and Creed.
Even though Metallica is one of the few metal bands I like, I prefer U2's version.
-
Holiday - Scorpions, Green Day
Fascinating that a lot of American artists have a song called "Holiday", given that the word is rarely used there.
Don't forget that the Bee Gees also had a hit by this title.
Bee Gees hit from their long-before-disco early days.
-
Alive - Korn, Adelitas Way, Pearl Jam, P.O.D., the Black Eyed Peas, Empire of the Sun, Sia, Dami Im, Hillsong Young, Krewella, Kid Cudi
Sia is the best. The vocal is incredible.
-
Animals - Martin Garrix, Maroon 5, Nickelback, Coldplay
Oh sorry, Neon Trees is not plural, but it's a good song. Can anyone find another animal song to make another list?
Miike Snow has a song with the title Animal. There you go! Just wanted to make you happy again.
I love all of them except Nickelback. But Martin Garrix takes the cake.
-
The End - The Doors, My Chemical Romance, The Beatles, Bullet for my Valentine, Pearl Jam, Groove Coverage, Simple Plan, Ellie Goulding, Kings of Leon
-
Hold On - Korn, Good Charlotte, Limp Bizkit
The best one of all with this title belongs to the soul duo Sam and Dave.
Don't forget Tom Waits. That is a good tune.
There is a Justin Bieber song called Hold On, and that is my favorite.
-
Burn - Mushroomhead, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Nine Inch Nails, Deep Purple, Ellie Goulding, Jason Chen, Usher, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tina Arena, Meek Mill
Obviously, the Deep Purple one was the best.
There's one by Three Days Grace as well.
-
Don't Let Me Down - The Chainsmokers, The Beatles
The Dave Clark Five also have a song called "Don't Let Me Down". (One of four titles of different songs by the Fab 4 and DC5 that I know of, the others being "Because", "Julia", and "Glad All Over").
The Chainsmokers' one is overrated.
-
?
Tears - Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek, Guy Schieman, Veronica Bravo
Crazy how these songs are two completely different genres, yet they have the same title.
-
?
As It Was - Hozier, Harry Styles
I prefer Hozier's, but Harry Styles's version is pretty good too.
-
You and I - Queen, Lady Gaga, t.A.T.u., Ace of Base, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Medina, One Republic, Bananarama, Cliff Richard, Bing Crosby, Sandra, Rakim, Earth Wind and Fire, Marion Raven, Ray Charles, Scorpions, Yoko Ono
@Martin_Canine - Thanks for adding many awesome items to this list! You also added some really long ones. Wow. I highly appreciate that!
The Monkees had two different songs called "You and I," both on albums that came out after their TV show was done.
One Direction has a song with the same name but uses the & symbol instead.
-
Call Me - Blondie, Shinedown, Aretha Franklin, Go West, Shirley Bassey, Sarah Connor, Al Green, Diamond Head, Pain, Le Click, Johnny Mathis, Petula Clark, Spagna, Throwing Muses, Dennis Deyoung, Tweet, Andrea True Connection, PBH & Jack Shizzle
But there are still more. For instance, Ringo Starr's song from 1974.
I listed 18 music artists only in the item title!
-
Alone - Armin Van Buuren, Hælos, Marshmello
1957 hit by the Shepherd Sisters, also done in the early 1960s by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
Whoever added this item should have added more of them. There are plenty - about 49.
If Marshmello is here, Alan Walker should be as well.
-
Changes - David Bowie, 2pac
A same song title by two deceased song artists.
-
Sugar - Maroon 5, System of a Down
-
Photograph - Def Leppard, Nickelback, Ed Sheeran
I only really like the Def Leppard one.
-
Believe - Cher, Mumford and Sons, Eminem, Meek Mill
Disturbed and Staind also had a song called Believe.
-
In the End - Black Veil Brides, Linkin Park, Green Day, Drake Bell
-
Birthday - The Sugarcubes, the Beatles, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Destiny's Child, Flo Rida
And we can't forget the original birthday song!
-
Bodies - Sex Pistols, Smashing Pumpkins, Drowning Pool
-
The Show Must Go On - Queen, Pink Floyd
-
Runaway - Bon Jovi, Cher, Kanye West
Del Shannon's is the only classic here, and that is noted in the list of classic songs. I doubt if any of the others will be voted onto that list. It's not that the others are bad. Del's is just a classic and should be recognized for that.
Also, two additional different songs by this name: one by Del Shannon and one by Jefferson Starship.
It's funny that almost everyone prefers Kanye West over Bon Jovi. And who is Del Shannon?
-
Hey You - Tokio Hotel, Shakira, Pink Floyd, No Doubt, Madonna, Scorpions, Kim Wilde, Miranda Cosgrove, Modern Talking
Bachman-Turner Overdrive also has a song called "Hey You".
Several favorite songs here, but my #1 would be Pink Floyd.
Love this. Hey You by Miranda Cosgrove is cool.
-
Beat It - Sean Kingston, Michael Jackson
-
Closer - Nine Inch Nails, Aerosmith, the Chainsmokers,
I like the Chainsmokers, Nine Inch Nails (but not the music video), and Ne-Yo (not listed here) versions.
