  1. Farmer (Male/Female)

    The most iconic. I mean, yes, he or she is the main player and not an NPC, but definitely the most iconic, especially the default farmer skin.

    They can be a total jerk, who divorces every spouse, says negative things during conversations, and turns their children into doves. Or they can become a hero, save the community center, and help people. They can even go from being a total jerk to a hero, then back to a jerk again, and return to being a hero, or any combination. You can do anything in this game.

  2. Mayor Lewis

    When I think of Stardew Valley, besides the farmer, Mayor Lewis is definitely the most iconic to me. Sure, he has a weird relationship with Marnie and a golden statue worth more than the town hidden behind his house, but he's cool.

    At the start of Stardew Valley, everybody hated Haley, including myself.

    But after the heart events, she got massive character development.
