Top 10 Stupidest Claims by Social Justice Warriors
As a conservative, I usually study a lot of dumb SJW moments, and nobody has ever said this.
Being racist to your own race is even worse than being racist to another race, in my opinion.
I think both are equally dumb. I'm white, and I can still relate to Black characters. Black people can relate to white characters. There is way more to a character than their skin color!
Hypocritical, right? People don't give a damn about blackwashing but give a crap about whitewashing. Neither should happen.
What if a fellow social justice warrior is white? Oh, there probably are no white social justice warriors. They all hate them. How racist-like.
Of course, they can. I've heard stories of people of color bullying a person because they are white.
They absolutely can! Every race, whether Black, Asian, or White, can experience racism. Every race is awesome!
How would you feel if you were harassed, attacked, and chased down just because of your political position? That's exactly how Republicans feel when you do that to them.
As much as I hate Trump, this is a stupid thing to do. Why would anyone support this?
That sounds like something from PETA, except about racism and sexism instead of animals.
Please don't tell me someone actually said or believes this.
That is the most ridiculous claim I've seen in this entire list.
Come on. Just because you don't hate trans people doesn't mean you have to be attracted to them. You can like and respect someone or a group of people without being attracted to them.
I want a date that's calm, understanding, and supportive. Erm, everyone does. Guess everyone is transphobic now. Sad life.
Does that mean I can accuse everyone who ever rejected me of being transphobic?
Literally every single thing done by every single person is "cultural appropriation" of some sort. That includes the invention of the wheel.
This also includes the invention and domestication of fire, apparently.
What even is this term anymore? It's lost all meaning at this point.
The Newcomers
My cat has babies. Me: Oh, it's totally a girl. Guess I'm transphobic now. Besides, if a vet says my cat is a male, I'm believing them. Also, it's just simple anatomy!
How in the world is that transphobic?
This one especially sends me. Last year, I was obese, at 5'1" and 166 pounds. Thanks to the help of doctors and my parents, and people making me realize that I had a problem, I was able to lose 33 pounds. I've been able to get down to 133 pounds, and I am now 5'2". If it wasn't for these people waking me up and telling me that I needed to change, I would still be gaining weight and facing severe health issues.
Saying that in public is rude, but it's still true if you don't want to die early.
Oh, okay, so all doctors are fat-shaming now? We need to hire some new ones.
The real reason why Asians and Blacks aren't in movies that take place in Olden Times Europe is because they weren't in Olden Times Europe. You would only expect to see Asians in a movie that takes place in Olden Times Asia. If there are any Blacks in a movie set in the Olden Times, they're (most of the time) either enslaved, in Africa, or somewhere else. Having a racially diverse Olden Times Europe would be historically inaccurate.
It's European history, so of course they are going to cast White people, not Asians or Blacks. That's like casting Black and White people for an ancient Chinese movie when the cast is supposed to be Asian. Making it historically accurate is not racist.
Just because a movie has a black/Asian/Hispanic/etc. protagonist doesn't mean that it's immediately a masterpiece, and everyone who hates it is a racist (even if the movie is an actual cinematic disaster). There are some people out there who would actually hate a movie because its protagonist is a POC, but these people don't make up the majority of the people who hate a movie.
People don't hate that movie because of race, but because they just didn't like the plot and story.
Race has nothing to do with why people hated the movie. Social Justice Warriors don't understand that.
I can see why some might think that, but it's still a dumb claim.
Reminds me of the skinny Rose Quartz incident. The fact that drawing a character a little too skinny can result in literal death threats is just straight-up sad. Is drawing skinny characters now equivalent to committing high treason? I guess PuffballsUnited (creator of Henry Stickmin) is getting a thousand death penalties.
Fictional characters are meant to be ideals, not a real representation of people. That means anime is bad if this is true, since most anime characters are skinny. Political correctness is ruining a lot of things today.
I don't think heterophobia is a real word as of now, but straight-phobia sure does exist, and it's just as bad as homophobia. It's not in a person's control whether they're straight or not.
Heterophobia isn't a real word, but hating on straight people is a problem.
It kind of is. Maybe not a huge issue, but it does exist.
Not a very fun fact: Some colleges in the United States favor Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans in college applications to apparently promote "racial diversity," which is pretty much exactly what these SJWs would like.
Honestly, I think job applications should just ignore the races, genders, sexualities, etc., of the people who apply and hire whoever is best for the required jobs.
Yeah, and some white person who has made between 700 and 1,000 applications is very much qualified for all of those positions he is applying for. You give the job to somebody of a different ethnicity but with no skills whatsoever. No wonder when you actually fire that employee because they did not do their job right, and then wonder when that same white guy applies again, this time angry because you, the hiring manager, failed to hire the more qualified person. It's common sense.
If you genuinely think that, you weren't taught the true meaning of racism, and you probably just saw the enslavement and segregation of Black Americans as an example.
There are cases where gender reveal parties have gone too far, but almost 100% of the time, they aren't made with transphobic intentions, nor were they meant to be transphobic.
