yaygiants16 reviews I Took A Pill In Ibiza by Mike Posner

yaygiants16 It's too early to deem I Took A Pill In Ibiza as one of 2016's best hit songs, but my prediction is it will end up being so. After the three singles Please Don't Go, Bow Chicka Wow Wow, and Cooler Than Me dominated the Billboard Top 20 back in 2010, Mike Posner has pretty much left radio for a good 6 years. He clearly was aware of his absence, as he sang "'Cause my name's a reminder of a pop song people forgot". This song is basically about Posner's glory of a pop star, and how it unfortunately died off. As a song itself, it's captivating, honest, and deserved that high spot on The Hot 100 a week ago. Aside from the slick guitar in the original, or the sick drop in the Seeb remix, what really makes I Took A Pill In Ibiza stick out is the raw emotion. The Seeb remix has a Gold Digger vibe to it, just deeper. I Took A Pill In Ibiza is great evidence that there is still good music on mainstream radio. Good job, Posner.
