  2. The Thing

Not exactly better than Blade Runner (1982), but it's a great film too.

The last hour is interesting and nasty.

  3. First Blood

Didn't live back then, but 1982 was a good year for movies.

First Blood is just amazing. Flawless, really. Stallone's best performance by far.

After this movie, everyone who was a little bit more warrior-like was named Rambo.

  4. Blade Runner

A brilliant sci-fi film with Roy Batty. Rutger Hauer's superb end monologue:

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."

How is this not in the top 2?!
