Top 10 Bands We Most Wish Would Reunite in 2024

Which band do you most wish would reunite this year?

For this list, we're considering bands that have officially split up for a long time and for whom we hope for a reunion, whether it's for a tour or new music.

Please note that this list is utopian, so it's unlikely that any of the bands you mention will reunite anytime soon.

Also, we should exclude bands like The Beatles, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Linkin Park, and others that have lost at least one important member. There's no possibility they will ever reunite.
The Top Ten
1 Oasis Oasis is an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. The group initially consisted of Liam Gallagher (lead vocals), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass guitar), and Tony McCarroll (drums). Liam asked his older brother Noel Gallagher (lead guitar, vocals) to join as a fifth member a few... read more

It would be great to see the Gallagher brothers team up again, but I doubt it will happen because they hate each other.

Edit: It ultimately happened!

My favorite band of all time. Wish they reunited for just one more concert. Just one more.

2 Talking Heads Talking Heads were an American rock band formed in 1975 in New York City and active until 1991. The band comprised David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison.

Talking Heads have been separated since 1991 and never reunited. That would be awesome to see them together again, let alone for a reunion tour.

3 Fugees The Fugees were an American RnB and hip hop group consisting of Lauryn Hill, Wycelf Jean and Pras Michael, all three contributing vocals, songwriting and production, active from 1992 to 1997 . During that time they released two studio albums, “Blunted on Reality” and “The Score”, the latter... read more

After they split at the height of their success in 1997, each member went solo. They reunited between 2004 and 2007 but now would be a good time for Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras to get back together.

4 No Doubt No Doubt is an American rock band from Anaheim, California, that formed in 1986. Since 1994, the group has consisted of vocalist Gwen Stefani, bassist and keyboardist Tony Kanal, guitarist and keyboardist Tom Dumont, and drummer Adrian Young.

They reunited for the first time in 2009 and released an album in 2012. Since then, they've split again, and Gwen Stefani has released two solo albums, including a holiday album. Now would actually be a good time to see Gwen reunite with her pals from No Doubt and possibly make new music together.

It's happening! They are reuniting for the first time in almost a decade and are one of the artists headlining Coachella in 2024.

5 Outkast Outkast is an American hip hop duo formed in 1991, in East Point, Atlanta, Georgia, composed of Atlanta-based rappers André "André 3000" Benjamin (formerly known as Dré) and Antwan "Big Boi" Patton. The duo achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success in the 1990s and early 2000s, helping... read more
6 The Stone Roses The Stone Roses are an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1983. One of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the band's lineup consists of vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani and drummer Reni.

They reunited in 2011 and released two singles in 2016, but then they split again in 2017.

7 Destiny's Child Destiny's Child was an American girl group whose final and best-known line-up comprised Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams.

Since their official separation in 2005, they've had one-off reunions, including one in 2013.

8 The White Stripes The White Stripes were an American rock duo, formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan. The duo consists of only a couple married at the time, Jack White, whose real name was Jack Gillis (songwriter, lead vocalist, guitarist, bassist and keyboardist) and Meg White (drummer and backing vocalist). After they... read more

The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records... read more

Since 1D split in 2016 and all of their members went solo, there have been multiple rumors about a reunion. Love or hate 1D, but a reunion will inevitably spread hysteria among their fans.

10 Spice Girls The Spice Girls are an English pop girl group formed in 1994. The group consists of Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Mel B (Scary Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice).
The Contenders
11 New Radicals

This short-lived band may have been one-hit wonders with "You Get What You Give," but their power-pop sound still felt like a nice breath of fresh air in a rock era that was dominated by post-grunge, nu metal, and pop-punk. After the initial split in 1999, they had a one-off reunion in 2021. It would still be nice to see Gregg Alexander reunite with his pals and possibly make new music together.

12 The Police The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. For the majority of their history, the band consisted of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland. They are most known for their songs "Message In A Bottle", "Don't Stand So Close To Me", "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", "Roxanne",... read more

They've been separated for about four decades and had a reunion tour in 2007-08 but never released new music since. However, don't expect them to get back together any time soon because Sting would rather focus on his solo career and regrets having reunited with The Police for this tour, which he said felt like a nostalgia exercise.

13 Dire Straits Dire Straits were a British rock band formed in 1977 by Mark Knopfler, his younger brother David Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers.

Since Dire Straits' last separation in 1995, Mark Knopfler has had a successful solo career. However, don't expect him to reunite with Dire Straits because he had difficulty handling the band's gigantic tours in the 1980s and 1990s, and it would be too much pressure on his shoulders.

14 Slayer Slayer was an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. They rose to fame with their 1986 album Reign in Blood, and is credited as one of the big four of thrash metal bands, the others being Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax... read more

I don't know if they will ever reunite, but if they do, then it'll be one of the greatest days of my entire life!

15 Tristania
16 Revolution Renaissance
17 Kalidia
18 Feed Her to the Sharks
19 Falconer
20 Daft Punk Daft Punk was a French electronic music duo consisting of producers Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter.

There's no way it's going to happen since robots are taking over the world right now, and the guys from Daft Punk don't want to be robots. But it'd be epic if they did reunite.
