No thought needed to agree that this is their best song. It has the lead singer of Three Days Grace! That alone should be enough to tell you it's the best one.
What a wonderfully well-put-together song with catchy lyrics.
The best song I've ever heard. The best of Three Days Grace and Apocalyptica. They should do more songs together. I am sure if they did more songs together, they would be a hit just like "I Don't Care."
Do I even need to comment?
The rhythm of the song alone is just so damn good, especially the violin and piano! As for the lyrics, well, just listen to it.
First song I ever heard of Apocalyptica... The way I fell in love with this song has only been matched by my instant love for City by HU.
It blew my mind the second I heard it. I proceeded to get even further blown away by the rest of Apocalyptica's music.
Brent Smith's vocals are incredible. This deserves to be at number one, plus I Don't Care sounds too pop compared to this.
One of the best songs I've ever heard! I think it should be number one. Awesome music, awesome lyrics, and the vocalist has a truly awesome voice!
This is without a doubt THE best song by them. Corey pours his heart and soul into this song.
Corey Taylor is singing for them. It's so awesome how Corey sings with all his heart.
This is the first song that got me listening to this band.
The first time I heard this song, my brain went into overdrive thinking it was on LSD. It still does every time I put on this record.
This is so divine! I wasn't even sure at first whether they could play something like this on a cello.
This is the first song I ever heard from Apocalyptica, and I love it!
Everything off of this album was killer. Inquisition Symphony has some really amazing instrumental parts that make it easily better than anything else on this list.
Yes! This is the best song by Apocalyptica! It's a lot better than the other list with only one instrumental. Still, I think you have too many vocal songs.
This. Is. One. Big. Eargasm. I absolutely love how they turned a relatively poor Sepultura song into this extreme and awesome song.
This song is absolutely amazing! Lacey Sturm's voice is breathtaking, and combined with Apocalyptica's incredible music, you've got heaven for the ears!
I'm glad this song is in the Top 5, but it needs to get higher up there!
Wow. Better than the original. I want to defeat Mordor after listening to this.
I can't stop listening to it. I liked Apocalyptica before, but after hearing this song, it made me love them.
It deserves way higher than 7th place. WAY higher.
This is brilliant. Apocalyptica, The Rasmus, and HIM... what more could you possibly ask for?
Only the 7th spot? Weird considering the quality of this song. I was sure this would be first.
This is by far my favorite Apocalyptica song. I love the melody of the guitar and violin sounds.
A very creative and unexpected mix.
The lyrics in this song are simply amazing, and they picked the right singer for it!
This one was constantly played on the radio. How is it not much higher?
How is this not number two next to "I Don't Care"? Seriously, it's a little sad.
Listen to this song, I promise you'll love it. No, just listen to the first ten seconds and I promise you'll like it!
Obviously one of their best. Try to listen, and I guarantee you will like it.
It's not a cover, and it's so overwhelming but at the same time it's very beautiful.
It brings me a lot of emotions. It's just awesome.
Should be in the top 10 at least... Amazing song that gave me goosebumps. True Apocalyptica.
One of their best instrumental songs ever. Why isn't it in the top 10?
This song is straight-up badass! One of the heavier and faster Apocalyptica songs, Life Burns! is a testament to the amazing sounds these guys can create with cellos. I never even cared about the cello until these guys.
I also really like Lauri Ylöne of The Rasmus's contribution. I've been through The Rasmus's music, and while they are not quite my thing, they are still leaps and bounds better than anything that passes for music on the radio these days. Here, though, Lauri shines through with a darker and slightly rougher tone. I love when he screams Life Burns!
I know there are those Apocalyptica purists out there who say that only the instrumental stuff is truly great, and to some extent, I agree. Whenever they get a guest vocalist, the instrumentalists don't tend to shine as much since the vocalist is stealing a lot of the spotlight. Even then, if you compare the number of songs featuring vocalists to the instrumentals, there are really only a handful.
So, I don't think they detract from Apocalyptica at all. In fact, if anything, I think the few songs with vocalists help to spice up something that already works really well. Still, from a purely musical standpoint, I think this is perhaps not their best song but by far their coolest and my personal favorite.
This is not only their best song but perhaps one of the most beautiful songs ever composed. Nothing in the rest of their library even comes close.
Amazing vocals as well as amazing background. Cristina Scabbia is one of the leading women in metal.
Just awesome. It has to be their best instrumental piece.
Just love it. Gives the chills indeed.
This is the business. I wanted to learn how to play after I heard this song.
THIS is why I started listening to Apocalyptica. Great covers of songs by a great band.
What? How could this be 23rd? It's amazing. It should definitely be 4th after Bittersweet, I Don't Care, and Path.
One of my favorite songs by them. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Gives me tingles down my spine! Definitely one of their best. Till Lindemann gives amazing vocals, and while I like their instrumentals better, this is one of those songs where they chose the perfect vocals.
