Top 10 Best Deadmau5 Songs
Deadmau5, the Canadian electronic music producer and DJ, has been a driving force in the world of EDM for over a decade. Joel Zimmerman, the man behind the iconic mouse head, broke onto the scene in the mid-2000s, bringing a unique sound to house music and pushing boundaries within the genre. From hypnotic progressive beats to gritty electro and even emotive, cinematic compositions, Deadmau5 has continuously evolved, influencing not only electronic music but pop culture as a whole.Known for his meticulous production style, Deadmau5 creates tracks that span a wide range of moods and atmospheres. His ability to craft everything from euphoric anthems to darker, more experimental sounds has made him a favorite among fans and critics alike. Tracks like Strobe and Ghosts N Stuff have become classics within the EDM world, while his live shows, featuring cutting-edge visuals and his iconic Mau5head, have cemented his reputation as one of the most innovative live performers in the scene.
Includes quite possibly the greatest beat drop in the history of electronic music. An absolute masterpiece, the Mona Lisa of electronic.
This song is my favorite because whenever I'm sad, I listen to it. The rhythm makes me calm and happy. Being autistic, I get stressed easily, and this song always helps me. Joel's music has always made me happy.
He is the person that makes me happy. He is going through depression, and he needs some love. So here I am. I will give you love. Your music is really good and creative. You make me happy during depressing times. Thank you.
There are just so many good things about this song. Rob Swire's voice is positively magical, the beat can be construed as either happy or enigmatic, and the organ is just the most epic use of a more classical instrument I have ever heard.
This song featured in the middle of his '09-'10 New Year's Mix, and it got 10 minutes while most other songs got around 3 or 4. Simply one of the best electronic songs I have ever heard.
This was my first song I listened to when I realized that this song is extremely good, and I think that even though it's not number 1, in my opinion, this song is the future of house music and deserves to be a golden hit for everyone who likes this type of music.
I like it, and I think people who start with this kind of music also, at the beginning, must listen to this song first.
There's always that one song from a given artist that acts as the hook, making you a fan. Numb by Linkin Park, Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin, Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix, Cosmic Love by Florence + The Machine, just to name a few. Never has a song so firmly hooked my attention and turned me into an instantaneous fan of an artist like I Remember did of Deadmau5.
Never has any piece of music caused me to experience such a sense of dreamlike nostalgia in such a beautiful way and for seemingly no reason. I love this song to such a degree that I actually try to avoid playing it very often, so as not to burn myself out on it. If you're feeling sad or depressed, this song can, if you allow it, put you into a state of emotional neutrality and clarity.
The whole song is set out perfectly. The slow piano at the start, paired with the unbelievably amazing vocals of Greta Svabo Bech, draws you in to hear more.
Then, out of nowhere, the drop hits you. A very unique and crazy idea, but it ended up being an absolute masterpiece. Should be second behind Strobe for sure!
The beginning of the song really hits you deeply. You get hooked to the song immediately, and when the drop at around 4 minutes happens, you just simply can't believe how amazing this song is. A mix of Dubstep and House = Amazing!
This song is one of his later masterpieces and definitely his best. Being completely honest, I think he may have outdone Strobe with this one. The melody, the buildup, the gradual progression throughout the song.
This song is amazing.
I discovered this song when it was first leaked, and from that moment, I knew this was his best track ever. No offense to Strobe, Ghosts 'n' Stuff, and Raise Your Weapon, but this is one level above all others (including other DJs). Brilliant masterpiece.
The song really does put you into a trance. From the basslines, the saw lead melody, and the mixing of the song, it is truly a work of art. To be honest, I like this song better than Strobe, which is no. 1 on this list.
It's that good.
Depending on your mix, this is over 8 minutes of calm and warm vibes with a steady beat that you can't help but start grooving to. This song does not feel like 8 minutes at all, and I feel this has contention to be considered one of Deadmau5's best (up there with Strobe, Some Chords, and Raise Your Weapon).
I was watching the livestream when Joel found that Chris James's lyrics had been emailed to him. He was skeptical that a product so quickly sent to him would be low quality, but upon hearing the magnificent vocal work, his judgment turned to astonishment.
It was a beautiful revelation in Joel's history.
The chords are really quite simple, but they compound on themselves into really cool awesomeness. Honestly, that's just about the best way I can describe this song.
Every segment of this song, from beginning to end, is gold. Easily the best song on the album along with Animal Rights.
It's a song more heard than Ghosts 'n' Stuff or Strobe or Animal Rights or Moar Ghosts 'n' Stuff. I think it's the second most popular song by Deadmau5.
There aren't many house songs where I can say that the vocals make the song better. I think most EDM fans can agree that they usually prefer the instrumental version.
Even when I saw this song with the vocals, I started to doubt that it would be good. But I don't regret listening to it. I encourage anyone to give this song a try because the vocals made the song amazing. Really cool.
Wow, tough decision as there are so many great songs to choose from. This song goes HARD. Hardcore, amazing, I actually like the vocal. Gerard Way is great.
I love how the chorus softens up a bit and how the song just builds, especially leading up to the chorus. Ugh, amazing song, the beat is dope.
This song has some of the sickest drops in any Deadmau5 song. The beginning of the song has a long intro that is completely mesmerizing, then drops straight into a recurring loop, followed by another nasty drop.
This song is the best song ever by Deadmau5. It has my vote for number 1!
People think that Right This Second is the FML of 4x4=12, and I hate to break it to them, but the only similarities between Right This Second and FML are the triplet hi-hats. Besides that, they're about as similar as Creep and Channel 42 are.
Either way, it's good, but I just had to point out that this and FML are barely similar at all.
Faxing Berlin is a timeless classic that made Deadmau5 even more popular. It has that classic Deadmau5 feel to it, amazing progression, and great cowbell. With the piano intro, it's even better.
I highly recommend this song even if you don't like Deadmau5. It's really worth listening to. 10/10
The best song by far (the original mix, of course). It has nearly everything you can ask for in a song! Way to go, Deadmau5! I don't get why I just started listening to him this year!
One of the most calming epics from Deadmau5. Honestly, you can enjoy the tune for hours without getting bored or it becoming repetitive. This song gives me eargasms and goosebumps. I can feel it pumping in my blood.
For me, it's easily number 1.
The most serotonin I've ever gotten from a song. It starts off with this huge buildup, and when the drop hits for the first time, it's the most satisfying thing you'll ever experience. But the second drop is even better.
Do me a favor, and vote this song up to at least number ten. It's so close!
I was just scrolling through Deadmau5's songs, saw his new album, saw this song, and said, "That's a peculiar name." I listened to the song and it was love at first sight. I may be biased due to my absolute love of violins.
The beat is nice, very Deadmau5-esque. There is also the constant drumming of the bass line. The harmony makes me feel like I'm underwater.
I think this just surpassed Strobe as my favorite Deadmau5 song. It is difficult for me to explain the feeling that this song gives me, but I will try. I find it insane that a song with no lyrics can even make you feel this way.
Bleed is one of those songs that makes you depressingly stare off into space and reevaluate your entire life. This song becomes even more emotional when you learn that it was created in memory of a fan of Deadmau5's who died in a car crash on the way to one of his shows. If I could describe this song in one word, it would be loss. This song is grieving, mourning, and missing someone, made into audio form. At least, that's what it feels like for me.
His best original piece! It's different from his other songs as it has this trancey feel and sets a great mood for the song, as if you're falling into an inevitable black hole. It's overlooked, but you'll not regret listening to this.
Amazing song to listen to. It deserves far more attention than it gets at the moment. While it doesn't match up to something such as Strobe, it's still a very good song!
Feels like I'm at a rave, but I'm in my bedroom when I listen to this song. Puts me in a different feeling. It really is my favorite.
This song is just amazing. It definitely deserves to be higher on this list, and I think this is a better version of Ghosts 'n' Stuff because it is more energetic and bouncy, if you know what I mean.
Seems like a remix of Ghosts 'n' Stuff and is more energetic, but I love Strobe. It just takes too long to get into it. Again, both are amazing songs!
I love this song, as well as the original. It deserves at least top 5 on this list due to its hard, good beat and constant foot-stomping.
This song is different from Deadmau5's other songs. It's got the tune correct, and what makes it different is that it isn't an epic like others, so Deadmau5 has compressed all awesomeness into 4.52 minutes.
I used my mixing software to mix this song with Skrillex, and it turned out awesome. Love this song.
This is a great song, and even though the higher ones are good, I find this amazing.
While Strobe, Ghosts 'n' Stuff, and I Remember deserve their places, this needs to have Raise Your Weapon or Aural Psynapse's position on the list. There is no Deadmau5 song that's more energetic and aggressive than FML.
For newer Mau5 fans, give this a listen and let's bring it to the top.
How is FML not even in part 1?! It belongs in the top five!
True progressive house indeed! One of the best...
The most epic track ever. It's like a movie - long and iconic. However, there are so many good Deadmau5 tracks that you can't really form a single list.
Awesome song. My favorite by far because of its unique beat drop. The chill section starting at 30 is simply amazing. It hypnotizes you.
How is it not even in the top ten?! It's by far better than Strobe and Raise Your Weapon!
I love this so much! This is the reason why I listen to Deadmau5! I have heard most of his stuff, and it's all amazing, but none of it has come close to this. It just has these beautiful melodies that run through it, and it feels like isolation, but in a good way.
It's just so satisfying. It's something to listen to when you feel stressed, like after a hard day at school, and when you hear it, you just feel isolated from all your troubles. My favorite from R.A.T.
Oh my god, words cannot describe the feeling I get from this song. The quintessence of euphoria rushes into every molecule of my being as I crest the 16,000 total plays mark.
I haven't purchased a song in years, and even after having every version of the song in its highest quality, I felt for the first time it was my duty to give an artist my money.
Thank you, you glorious angel Joel Thomas Zimmerman.
After Strobe, I thought Deadmau5 could never blow me away like that again. I had never heard anything that wasn't from his studio albums, but when I listened to this, it put me in a trance! I was blown away once again.
Had it been on While 1<2, it would have been his most famous album and Drop the Poptart would have been the next Strobe.
The vocals kind of ruin it, in my opinion. It would be better without the vocals, but it's a great song otherwise.
I really do think that this song should be on While(1<2). It would be a very good replacement for one of the depressing piano tracks. While the title may have nothing to do with the lyrics, it's still very good.
Give it a listen.
Great song. His best non-album single by far! I don't know about you guys, but I always get this image in my head of something on fire or something burning when I listen to it. I have no words. I can't describe it.
All I can say is that it's great!
You need a good stereo to truly appreciate this, and I guarantee that every time you listen to this masterpiece, you will hear something new!
This is the absolute epitome of an electronic music journey for me. Those chords!
HR 8938 Cephei is Deadmau5's best work (in my opinion), but is too underrated. If you haven't heard it, go check it out, especially if you like Deadmau5's trance stuff that's got a kind of haunting feel to it.
Best use of musical instruments so far. It has an unprecedented amount of genius that makes this track one of Deadmau5's best songs ever. Strobe was good, this was amazing.
Neat changes during the song! His use of musical instruments in this is AWESOME! This song will leave you in awe. This is what I'd have to say is his best song.
Though you may not want to watch the music video, this song is epic! Quite a bit of diversity throughout the song. Amazing.
Best song off W:/2016ALBUM/. The sample doesn't give much, but it's so worth your time, one of the best. Ever. Great job on this track, Deadmau5.
This song is amazing! I've listened to all the top ten, and this one is by far my favorite. Most songs are too slow for me. This song has a faster beat and is great. Can't believe this song is so far down!
How is this not number 1? I've listened to three of Deadmau5's albums, and I have to say, this is my absolute favorite song. Listening to it on a great speaker system also enhances the quality.
BEST SONG EVER! I've already listened to at least 30 of his songs and this one is by far the best! When will people learn?
This thing is called love at first sight! It's amazing! This is definitely one of the Mau5's best songs and one of the best songs I have ever heard.
I don't know what it is about this song, but it's just amazing. Maybe it's some of the notes it uses, but it's just so hard to say what makes it so good.
This song has such an intense build-up. Just lie down for 11 minutes and take a trip in your mind with this song.
This is simply perfection. How this is not higher on the list is beyond me.
