They plugged in their guitars, turned the distortion knobs past the breaking point, and birthed an industrial metal monster. To fund their early demo tapes, they actually sold drugs. You have to admire that kind of ruthlessly illicit entrepreneurial spirit. Soon enough, they bought their way onto the stage, caught the attention of major record labels, and unleashed their blistering brand of nu-metal onto a completely unprepared public.

You will not find any acoustic love songs hiding in their discography. What you get instead is pure, unadulterated angst wrapped in heavy riffs and pounding electronic beats. If you have ever felt the sudden urge to scream at a stoplight or put your foot through a television screen, you already understand exactly what this band delivers. They mixed gritty metal with mechanical synthesizers to create a sonic cocktail that practically forces you to start a riot in your own living room.

    Die MF Die is great, but My Funeral is more than that. I'm not a Dope fan, but I love this song very much. The music, lyrics, and vocals are perfect in this song!

    Absolutely amazing song. This song is the best of all Dope songs. I want more songs like this on Dope's next album.
