Best Of Monsters and Men Songs
I know it's cliché to choose the most popular song as a group's best song, but wow, they really blew this one out of the water. I love how OMAM is able to put a story into every song and how there is always a deeper meaning.
This was the first song I heard by them, and I completely fell in love with this group. That was over five years ago, and I am still in love with the song and the meaning behind it. If I saw them live, I'm pretty sure I'd cry. Everyone I've shown this song to has completely fallen in love with it like I have. Great job and keep up the good work!
Hands down one of my favorite songs of all time. I could listen to this all day.
I really love this song. It reminds me of years when I lived on a ranch.
I love this. It was what got me into the band in the first place.
"As the world comes to an end, I'll be here to hold your hand." It's the perfect song to describe the love you feel for a sibling. You might get mad and fight, but when it really matters, you're there for each other like no one else. The storytelling behind this song is a pure, simple beauty that never fails to take my breath away.
"Howling ghosts, they reappear and mountains that are stacked with fear, but you're my king and I'm a lionheart." A perfect song to represent loyalty and that the ones you love will always be there, no matter what you're facing.
I think that the pure story element of this song makes it lovely. It's passionate, beautiful, and mysterious. One of my all-time favorites.
This should definitely be the number one song. Absolutely amazing. It is so captivating. I could never get tired of it. Completely hooked on this song. A must-listen.
This song should be in first place, not fourth. It's so beautiful and a song you'll never get tired of listening to.
Absolutely incredible. The beat is intense. The whole thing is great, but the best part is when Nanna comes in towards the end. Absolutely beautiful transition.
In my opinion, this is their best song. It's just so catchy and awesome.
Why is this not number one? Listen to it now!
I love this song so much! The lead-up, the crescendo, the piano solo, the harmonies, the chorus, the chanting bits, the percussion! I love it all!
Probably my favorite song by them.
Such a beautiful song. It's pretty much brand new, yet every time I hear it, I feel great and happy and uplifted, like any OMAM song. Sure, it's a bit hard to warm up to the video, but after listening to it for a while, you don't mind.
I say this one should move right up there to Little Talks, which is the only OMAM song I got tired of. (Note: I feel guilty for pushing Sinking Man down on this list. Also a favorite.)
This song inspired me to write a whole novel. It's powerful, strong, and incredibly deep, and it's one of the few that has ever made me cry. No song will be more special to me than Crystals.
Such a powerful, underrated song. I think it beats Little Talks.
I really love this one. It's up there with Your Bones and King and Lionheart.
This song deserves to be in the top 5. The music is so beautiful, and the lyrics are so deep. It's my favorite song from the band.
Why isn't this in the top ten? It's one of their most popular songs, and it's number 14! Why?
Such an undervalued song. Nanna puts her soul into this song when she sings it. It's just wonderful.
The Newcomers
Possibly my favorite song of all time. This is a song that really helped me get through some rough times and loneliness, and I always get so emotional listening to this one. I love almost every song by them, but nothing beats this one.
Humble and beautiful song. It hypnotizes me every time I listen. But all OMAM songs tend to do that to me.
Definitely one of their most underrated songs. It's just fantastic.
I just downloaded this album, and this is by far my favorite!
A wonderful song. My favorite part is the pre-chorus.
This song is so underrated. I guess it's because it wasn't on the album. It's taken from the soundtrack of "Hunger Games," and it fits the movie so perfectly.
I really love it. It was a HUGE surprise for me even though I listened to OMAM before. It's so sad, yet kind of a love song... I guess? I really like the ending and the way it fades away. I'm in love with this song.
This is the best song ever. It's even in my bio on Twitter (@eilleenpalma). Being a Hunger Games fan led me to become a fan of OMAM. It's so relevant to the movie, and it makes me cry. The effect it can have is inevitable. Hands up to this song!
Every time I hear the chorus, I feel like my heart is gonna explode. By far the most amazing chorus I have ever heard in any song!
This song makes me feel happy, nostalgic, calm, and inspired. I love everything about it.
Such a brilliant song. Wonderfully crafted to produce a stunning chorus.
I don't really have any other way to describe it other than chilling and mesmerizing.
It is so underrated but so good! The instrumental part just builds up.
One of the most beautiful pieces by OMAM, even if it is simplistic. It deserves to be much higher.
So haunting and dark. One of the best.
This shows off the extreme talent of female co-singer Nanna. A beautiful song, delivered with impeccable timing and balance of sound when performed live.
This song makes me so emotional that sometimes I feel like it's the best song about grief. I love the piano.
This song hit me hard. It's one of the most emotionally compelling songs I've heard in quite a while. I love it when I get such a powerful response to music.
I swear Of Monsters and Men do not have a single bad song. They are amazing, and I'm in love with them.
Such a great song. It touches everyone who listens to it and has a strong meaning.
This has one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard. This definitely NEEDS to belong in the top 5.
This is an epic song. Deserves to be in the top 5.
Why is this so low?! It is my absolute favorite! Also, has anybody noticed that everybody seems to like every song? I swear, they do not have one bad song.
The build-up in this song is amazing. It has and probably always will be my favorite song by OMAM. The chorus isn't too much, and it is the perfect blend of vocals and instrumentals.
I love this. It sort of just makes me feel better. Can't for the life of me say why, as the lyrics aren't exactly uplifting.
This should be the second top song right after Little Talks!
I love the outro and bridge. So great!
