Top 10 Best Regine Velasquez Concerts
Ms. Regine Velasquez has definitely raised the bar of music excellence. Her phenomenal voice and her versatility as a performer have made her one of the world's most unbeatable divas, and she is still, by far, unmatched. She gives 100 percent of herself in all her performances. Being fortunate enough to have watched her live twice in concert has made me love her more and more. I just put up this list to find out what your favorite concert of the one and only Songbird is.
Definitely the best so far! Although all of her concerts are over-the-top incredible, this concert has stood out the most in my mind. Not only does it showcase the vocal abilities of Asia's Songbird, it also presents carefully chosen songs by OPM singers as well as other genres.
Even though the stunning dress designs that perfectly fit her confident and perfectly shaped body are the icing on the cake, I can honestly say that the aerial stunts she pulled off while singing "On The Wings of Love" are the cherry on top.
If she hasn't already proven herself by this time, this concert will only confirm that she is the best singer in the world in our eyes. Thank you, God, for giving us an opportunity of a lifetime by giving us Ms. Regine Velasquez. May her legacy be passed from generation to generation.
P.S. I'm such a big fan, and I was only 11 when I started watching her videos. A year later, I think I knew every single detail about her public life. Gotta love the progress with technology.
Concert par excellence, no doubt.
It is indeed a majestic concert, tastefully produced and impressively performed - from the repertoire to the accompaniment, from the conductor to the chorale, from the guest performers to the venue, and from her fashion sense to the aura of class.
I only wish that she'll be able to do another concert of this sort with a closely similar laudable cause as its main beneficiary.
In this concert, she proves her vocal power and exceptional ability in singing. Regine also receives eight standing ovations from her audience. She is the true diva, a world-class songbird.
As they say, better late than never. And so, this review of the recent Songbird Sings Legrand.
For three nights at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Plenary Hall, love spoke and thousands of hearts listened. Songbird Sings Legrand took place on Feb. 14, 15, and 16. French Maestro Michael Legrand teamed up with Regine Velasquez before a sold-out crowd on all three nights.
I am very privileged to have performed with this very talented lady here. Each time Regine sings my songs, I can't help but say she sings the best versions. I've never heard my songs sound so good, Legrand said during the show.
Legrand started the concert with a piano piece that spoke of musical passion. His fingers on the ivory paced the audience's hearts, listening to every key and keying every emotion. No fewer than eight times did the crowd clap and yell even before the concert started. Eager and anticipating, the audience urged the show to start immediately. It wasn't until Legrand played his first piece that the PICC felt the rush.
I may have missed the spectacle that was the R2K concert, but in this concert, Regine was effortlessly singing and nailing her performances, with or without Martin on the side. Martin was good too.
I idolize her so much. I love you, Regine. You are still the number one diva. For me, you're Asia's song goddess!
Throat-slashing high notes galore in this concert. Completed in two days, it's amazing she survived those nights.
I was there at her concert, both Silver and Silver Rewind, before I left for the UAE. Tears and love for her were my gifts for that wonderful concert. I love you, Regine, so much.
She was actually kind because I spent a lot of time just to see her in person. The concert was supposed to start at 8 p.m., but I had been at her show seven hours before, at the backstage, waiting for her to arrive. Finally, I saw her in person. I took a picture beside her - take note, "beside her inside her car." I will never ever forget my first, and I would say, the most memorable event in my life: to see her up close.
I love you, our songbird. Many more music, concerts, albums, and one more child for you and Kuya Ogie.
I loved the moment when Regine sang with three new divas: Sarah Geronimo, Kyla, and Sheryn Regis. The moment they sang And I Am Telling You together was special.
I thoroughly enjoyed the concert right in front of the stage. The voices of her and her guests still resonate. Is there any official video available?
I have seen this concert twice. Seeing her perform live is simply WOW!
The Songbird and the Concert Queen in one spectacular event!
She stepped out of her comfort zone, singing Broadway songs that are not her genre but conquered them nonetheless. At the age of 45, she hit the A5 note during the musical presentation.
