Top Ten Best Songs of 2006

The Top Ten
1 Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

With its honest and uplifting lyrics and catchy chorus, this song is an absolute pleasure to listen to. In my opinion, it is one of the best songs not only of 2006, but ever. If you are not familiar with My Chemical Romance, I suggest you look them up because these guys truly are geniuses.

Honestly, I think this is one of the best songs of all time, not just 2006. And even in 2006, it was a very fitting song for transitioning out of late 2000s grunge and into the alternative genre. Definitely, without a single doubt, 100% deserves to be number 1. I mean, how does Shakira even come close to this song?

2 The Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin
3 When You Were Young - The Killers

No question about it, one of the best rock songs ever!

4 Hips Don't Lie - Shakira

Shakira is so awesome. I love the song and I like how she can sing so well. She has that accent, and when I hear it, I super duper love it. I like the picture of Hips Don't Lie because there is a cute little baby, but I don't like how Shakira won't give the apple to the baby. Shakira looks very nice, but she can be mean sometimes.

They should put Shakira in a movie, and she would be even more popular. I like how they put her in Wizards of Waverly Place, but why not put her in a movie? She has the voice, she can memorize things, and she is so pretty. Well, I wrote enough.

5 Animal I Have Become - Three Days Grace

The guitar riff is such a banger! A song about Adam's addiction. Very catchy and is one of the greatest songs of all time.

Thanks to this, Three Days Grace became massively popular for a couple of years.

6 Knights of Cydonia - Muse
7 Promiscuous - Nelly Furtado
8 Tears Don't Fall - Bullet for My Valentine
9 Lovelight - Robbie Williams
10 Hurt - Christina Aguilera

The Newcomers

? King of Kings - Motorhead
? I Walk Alone - Saliva
The Contenders
11 Dani California - Red Hot Chili Peppers
12 SexyBack - Justin Timberlake

HAHA. Is this song on 48? SexyBack is one of the best songs after the 00s!

13 Pain - Three Days Grace

I don't know why people enjoy Three Days Grace as much as they do. All they are is discount Linkin Park. Don't believe me? Listen to One Step Closer by Linkin Park, then listen to Painkiller by Three Days Grace. This band also doesn't really change their sound. Every song sounds alike.

I'm sure they've had a couple of ballads, but so has every other band, and this song is just copying the other sound-alike songs they have.

The best ever known, the song that never leaves your memory! You hear it over and over and never get bored of it!

Even the story of the song is sad and touching! This baby is one of the best works of this decade.

14 Whispers In the Dark - Skillet
15 Never Too Late - Three Days Grace
16 Call Me When You're Sober - Evanescence
17 What Goes Around... Comes Around - Justin Timberlake

Not only is this my favorite Timberlake song, it's one of my favorite songs of all time!

18 My Love - Justin Timberlake
19 Unfaithful - Rihanna

A moving Rihanna song from the "A Girl Like Me" album, which I personally think is the best.

20 Survive - Rise Against
21 Pac's Life - 2Pac
22 Rehab - Amy Winehouse

A classic. Nobody wrote a song about not going to rehab, as well as not wanting to drink, as well as not seeming like a victim.

23 White & Nerdy - "Weird Al" Yankovic

The father of all parody masters!

24 Mardy Bum - Arctic Monkeys
25 The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars
