Top 10 Best Ice Cube Songs

The Top Ten
1 It Was a Good Day

This song is, without a doubt, one of the top ten greatest hip-hop songs of all time. It delves deep into the essence of gangsta rap and reminds you of songs like Stan by Eminem and Dance With the Devil by Immortal Technique.

The song tells a compelling story and gives you a feeling of relief, only to take it away. This is because good days are very rare in South Central L.A., and Ice Cube made a song about that.

The Predator is the most overshadowed Ice Cube album of all time, and it is also his best piece of work.

"It Was a Good Day" is definitely Ice Cube's best song and arguably one of the greatest rap songs of all time. His flow, lyrics, and wordplay paint a clear picture of what would be Ice Cube's perfect day.

The beat, sampled from The Isley Brothers' "Footsteps in the Dark," gives this song a relaxed, easy-going vibe. "It Was a Good Day" was the song that first got me hooked on rap, and it's easily Ice Cube's best and most memorable song.

2 No Vaseline

This is one of the best "diss" songs of all time. He clowned everyone in N.W.A. one at a time. All of it is original. I am from Compton, so I agree with this and "Hit 'Em Up" probably being the best two diss songs of all time. Who would rap about Pac or Cube after that dropped?

This song holds the classic, old, and strong vocals that Ice Cube used to use back when he was with N.W.A. It also has the best instrumentals that I've heard in an Ice Cube solo track. It should definitely be considered at least his second-best song ever.

3 Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It

It's a hard choice with Ice Cube, as he has so many great lyrical songs. But I chose this one because it talks about a real issue so well.

This song has to be in the top 3. The beat and lyrics are just sick, even compared to You Know How We Do It.

Ice Cube speaks the truth in this song. He is a legend. This will always be the best Ice Cube song.

4 You Know How We Do It

This song is way better than the modern rap music my friends listen to!

Today Was a Good Day is great, but this song is much greater. It should be in 1st place.

5 Check Yo Self

I prefer the original, but the instantly recognizable beat of The Message does indeed suit the song.

This should be #1, then Today Was a Good Day.

This is the best party song ever, and it is also Ice Cube's most famous hit before Why We Thugs came out.

6 You Can Do It

This was always played in the dance clubs back in the day. This song has to be more popular than #20.

This is definitely a top 10 song, considering where he is now compared to when he was younger.

I don't know why this song is so low on the list. This is by far the best Ice Cube song ever. The flow is amazing.

7 Why We Thugs

This song is the greatest rap song ever! And he wrote it! Ice Cube is a legend in the game and deserves respect, which he already has. He's also a fine actor. But this song goes off. I love how he is better than most rappers nowadays!

Wow! This song is so good. It has a nice beat which has been used in many remixes and such, like Real Thugs by Eazy-E, Tupac, and Ice Cube. This song should be number 1. Just listen to the lyrics. They're so good! By the way, I am listening to it right now.

This song is amazing. It is very catchy, and the lyrics are good. This is absolutely one of my favorite songs ever.

8 Hello

Ice Cube's verse on this song is by far one of the best verses I've ever heard on any song, ever. Cube's verse alone shows you how lyrical he really is.

If you don't like the hook, I don't know what's wrong with you, mate. This is Ice Cube's best work, but it could also be considered an N.W.A. track with both Dre and Ren in it.

This song is hectic. It has hectic written all over it! The whole War & Peace Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 are pretty underrated albums and classics!

9 Go to Church

Go to Church is Ice Cube's definite prime song! Along with all the songs from Laugh Now, Cry Later, which is better than all the other Ice Cube albums! Los Angeles, California is the place to be!

Good beat, good lyrics. Really aggressive and active. I thought DMX wrote it when I first heard it. This is a song you can listen to over and over and never get bored by it.

This is the greatest song ever invented! Laugh Now, Cry Later is the great Ice Cube album, and this is the best song off of it! Lil Jon and Snoop Dogg impress too, but not as much as Ice Cube.

10 Ghetto Bird

This should be in the top 3, easy! This song is perfect for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto V.

This song is lyrically superior, with simple rhymes and a killer storyline!

This is his best song, along with "It Was a Good Day."

The Contenders
11 Friday

This song is so catchy. It stuck in my head for weeks. I'm always jumping around and singing, Oh yeah, throw your neighborhood in the air.

12 Natural Born Killaz

Awesome lyrics and beat. This is the first Dre and Cube collaboration since Cube left NWA.

13 The N**** Ya Love to Hate

I think this should be in the top 10! It comes from Ice Cube's first album, AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted. Ice Cube knows people hate him for leaving N.W.A. People love to hate on him. That's what Cube talks about. He is proud of it, and I think this song is underrated.

This has to be in the top 10. The rhythm is classic, and Ice Cube destroys verses from top to bottom.

This is surely one of the top 5 Ice Cube songs. I'm surprised that it's not in the top 10.

14 Once Upon a Time In the Projects

This comes from Ice Cube's first album, AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted. Cube came from the ghetto, and he's telling us what it is like in the ghetto. This is a classic, no doubt.

This is probably one of the best songs by Ice Cube. He is the best rapper.

15 $100 Dollar Bill Y'all
16 Bop Gun (One Nation)

Such a feel-good song like It Was a Good Day. It should definitely be much higher on this list!

17 I Rep that West

I agree. The album and song are both dope. Cube always reps that West. No Country for Young Men is also a track from the same album and is just utterly insane.

The lyrics are great, and the beat takes this song to another level. Ice Cube reps that West! This is the best song of the decade!

This is probably his best song. He goes so hard. It's unbelievable.

18 Smoke Some Weed

Man, this is the best song by Ice Cube, especially if you've been high.

I love kicking back and burning herbs to this! Yay Yay!

In my opinion, this is the best song from Ice Cube!

19 Steady Mobbin'

The simple and "steady" beat goes so hard. With Ice Cube's perfect lyrics, this song should be way higher on the list.

How is this not on the list already?

20 AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted
21 Wicked

This is just a hardcore song with a hardcore beat. I love it.

22 Ghetto Vet

In my opinion, this is Ice Cube's best song. The lyrics and the beat are hectic in this song. Get this song into the top 5.

This is Ice Cube at his finest.

23 We Be Clubbin'
24 A Gangsta's Fairytale

So, you know fairy tales, right? All fake and fantasy. Well, Ice Cube made a fairy tale that is real and comes from the streets, his reality. This song is Ice Cube's reality come to life. You can say it's a gangsta's fairytale.

This is a dope cut. Cube is most definitely the greatest MC there is.
