Top 10 Best Taylor Swift SongsTaylor Swift is more than just a singer. She's a storyteller, a poet, and a legend. She has created her own musical universe, where she invites us to join her on her journey of growth and empowerment. Whether she's rocking out with her guitar, dancing with her squad, or dropping surprise albums, Taylor never fails to impress us with her versatility and vision. Her songs are like diary entries, revealing her honest feelings and experiences.
But how can we choose the best Taylor Swift songs out of so many masterpieces? That's where you come in. We need your help to rank the top Taylor Swift songs that truly capture her essence and brilliance.
Awesome! This is the best song I have ever listened to. Taylor is an amazing singer. This is a totally amazing song sung by Taylor Swift. It should be in the number one spot. And it is... Taylor is the best.
This song is just beautiful. It really makes me think about things. You Belong With Me is just perfect. Her voice, screaming the words and still coming out so beautifully... Wow!
This song is so amazing. I think it was one of the first Taylor Swift songs that I ever heard. It was the song that got me into her music, the song that made me love music, the song that helped me through many of my problems, the song that made me want to learn how to play guitar, and the song that gave me goosebumps the first time I saw the music video. The list goes on and on, but I think you get the idea. I LOVE You Belong With Me. Everything about it is beautiful. I spent a while thinking about what I would pick on this list, but I have such a high level of respect for this song.
Love Story is Taylor's best song. It's good enough to replace the top song, You Belong With Me.
Even though I don't believe in love, I do wish I could fall in love sometimes. I love this song and Taylor Swift. She is a great singer and very beautiful. I've heard this song 100 times and I'm still not bored. I usually get bored hearing other songs after a few times.
I love Tay's Love Story song because it brings back memories of old crushes and my own love story. It makes me want to write more songs just like Tay does.
This song is wonderful. I can relate so much to this Taylor Swift song because, back in high school, there was a mean boy whom I thought was trouble, every single day! When I heard this song, I immediately fell in love with it. So this song sends out a really powerful message: don't let boys walk all over you, stand up to bullies, and always know that some boys are trouble. Thanks, Taylor Allison, for being a role model with this amazing song.
"I Knew You Were Trouble" is one of the best songs ever. I'm a little mad it's not number one, but I'm glad it's on the list. If you've never heard "I Knew You Were Trouble," I feel really bad for you. So take your phone, tablet, Kindle, or iPad, or even a computer, and look it up right now. You'll be happy with what you hear. I'm so glad Taylor Swift made this song. It's one of my favorite songs ever. I hope she keeps making good ones like this. Thanks, Taylor Swift!
I love this song so much! It's definitely one of my favorite songs, and I think it has a good message. For those of you who don't know, this song actually started out as a joke because it's not actually about love. It's about what the media depicts her to be when she innocently dates a guy and writes a song about him. This song is really good, and I think it's perfect for people to interpret in different ways. Anyone can think of it differently. It's good for players who don't want to commit or for people who think the media is too mean to people like Taylor. I think that in no time it'll be in the top 3!
As a fan of rap artists such as Eminem, Tupac, Biggie, etc., I really shouldn't be a huge fan of Taylor Swift, but I have fallen in love with her music. Lyrically, "Blank Space" is her best song. It's a great satirical piece about the "man-eater" reputation the media has given her. It's catchy, brilliant, and everything that makes Swift the most talented artist in the business today.
Have you ever made a mistake and now you want to go back in time to change it so it's not ruining your life with him? Did someone like you, but you didn't like him or her back, and now you do and he or she doesn't? Did you just realize what you had when he or she liked you? Words can't explain how beautiful this song is! Every time I listen to this song, it makes me cry, and I never get tired of it. This song relates to one of my friends' lives. She liked him, and he liked her. At a December dance, when the guy asked her out, she stupidly said no. Now that guy doesn't like her anymore and doesn't care about her, so he is dating my best friend. But I feel very bad for my other friend. This song is the definition of a lot of people's lives.
I must say this is her best song. I don't think people understand the true majesty of the song and the songwriting. It's absolutely amazing how the melody is combined with the way the story is told. It makes you think about each word, feel it. The background music is enchanting, and it takes you to another world - a world of regret and lost love. It makes you feel how Taylor felt when it happened to her. The more you listen to it and understand it, the more you enjoy it. This is a magnificent piece of art, and it truly shows her talent.
This is my favorite, especially the 10-minute version.
"It's supposed to be fun turning 21."
"Dancing around the kitchen in the refrigerator light, down the stairs, I was there."
"Some actress asking me what happened. YOU, that's what happened, YOU."
I'm sorry, but why is this so low down on the list? Every time I listen to it, it makes my heart tighten up so intensely, I can't even describe it. It's so sad, depressing, and incredible that after I listen to it and another song plays, the next song always seems vastly inferior. I don't want to get into it. It's so amazing. And nothing like the song describes has ever happened to me - I'm only 14 and I've never been in a serious relationship - but I still feel like it happened to me when I listen to it. That's something Taylor has always been amazing at doing, but I think she outdid herself with this song. She even said it was the most emotional song to record off of Red, just saying.
Anyway, I can't actually tell you how much I love it, and I can't force my opinion into your brain, so I guess I'll just shut up now.
It's a song for all the fans who join Taylor in her enchanted journey in life. Mean is not just about accepting your imperfections but also about embracing the bright side of you as an individual. Taylor Swift speaks for all ages in the world, and I think Taylor can actually convey her message through her songs. *Please like the comment if you're a Taylor Swift fan and if you believe that life is never perfect, but life is forever enchanted.*
Mean is a song about teaching kids not to bully, not to let bullies walk all over you, and showing bullies what they did wrong. I think Taylor Swift has really made songs to convey a meaning, not just to make songs and money like other singers. I like this song because she is teaching kids, and it is a great song. Well, thanks for reading, if you did.
I agree. I am a big Taylor Swift fan, and Mean is just the best. It's also really diverse since most songs nowadays are about love. Even though I don't have any problem with that, I find it a really, really good song. I listen to it all the time when I'm sad because I have been bullied at school. I just don't get why it's not in the top 3.
Taylor is amazing, and I think this song should be higher. Not that I would degrade any of her songs. This song is so meaningful to many people, and I still haven't fallen in love, but I do believe in it. I hope when I do fall in love, I have a relationship like the one in this song because it sounds beautiful, just like this perfect song. That is why I believe it should be higher on the list.
"Brace myself for the goodbye, 'cause that's all I've ever known. When you took me by surprise, you said, 'I'll never leave you alone.'" And then she sings how she remembered all the things that she was thinking about... and it's 9th? This song is awesome, and when it comes to the bridge, it's just amazing. "She is the best thing that's ever been mine."
I was never a Taylor Swift fan until I heard "Mine" for the first time. Ever since then, I've gotten more and more into her music. Great melody and honest lyrics. The perfect blend of Taylor's talents. Her ability to make a beautiful and catchy song about such a universal emotion, feeling, or experience.
I sob my heart out every time I hear this song. It is so beautiful and reminds me of my love. It is so beautiful! I start crying if I even hear the first few notes.
This should be the number one song for Taylor! I wish she would make this one of the singles from the Speak Now album.
I've never repeated any song so many times, but for this song, I did!
It's enchanting to listen to this song. I can feel how Taylor felt meeting Adam. It's like you've found your ideal lover.
The best lyrics are where Taylor wrote: Please don't be in love with someone else, please don't have somebody waiting on you.
This song is extremely amazing!
Easily one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs. I love the bridge:
"This is me praying that this is the very first page. not where the storyline ends. my thoughts will echo your name until I see you again. these are the words I held back when I was leaving too soon. I was enchanted to meet you."
This song is so underrated. I don't know why it isn't more popular. Also, why do people like the Folklore songs so much? They are so overrated.
The most beautiful song ever existed or ever created on this earth. And it will remain the best classical song for eternity. Exceptionally beautiful music and lyrics. For people who love both slow-beat or fast-beat songs, this song deserves the number 1 position in the entire music list. If you have never heard it, you will regret it. And if, in spite of hearing it, you don't like it, then you should feel sorry for yourself and your music sense. There should be no question regarding the beauty and position of this song. Even people who don't like music will fall in love with this song, and they'll start to love music. It undisputedly should be the number 1 song of all time.
I can't believe my eyes... It's an outright shocker to see this amazing and breathtaking masterpiece stranded at the ground level. Just listen to the goosebump-inducing background music and Swift's sensational vocals. Damn! Even God can't explain this awfully bad list. This one is millions of notches above all her other songs, only then followed by Back To December, Mine, & Enchanted, and not those nonsensical garbage pop songs. She was so impressive in the beginning, singing country songs, all of which possessed remarkable lyrics and touching music. But nowadays, I'm utterly disappointed and sick of her songs. I only wish she could go back to singing country again.
This song is full of emotion. It confesses very strong feelings toward the person you love but know you can't have. I believe Taylor is very unique in expressing her feelings through her songs. She can really transmit a lot of emotions to you when you listen to her. That's why she portrays such a beautiful song, like Teardrops On My Guitar, so passionately.
I love this song because it reminds me of a crush I had on a boy. He liked another girl and was dating her too! But I wanted to date him so badly, and it hurt to think that he might never ask me out. My favorite line from Teardrops On My Guitar is: She better hold him tight, give him all her love, look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause..."
But this song is an amazing song! It's like you love someone so deeply and you would do anything for them, but you know that you can't have them and it breaks your heart just to think about it! That's what I felt about my crush, that's also why I love this song!
This song is great! Guys, please vote for the right song! This song is attractive, unlike others that are so sad. This song is about being happy at 22, not about a breakup! Please vote! I was shocked that this song is just #77. It deserves to be in the top 10.
Are you guys serious? 22 is not even in the top 10? Truthfully, I hated Taylor Swift (no offense), but the moment I heard 22, I just fell in love with her. This song is so amazing that it turned a Taylor hater into a Taylor lover. It should be in the top 5 at least.
This song is good. And the person who says that this song is garbage, I suppose they only listen to bad songs. Try to write at least a verse on your own. Then you will know how hard it is. If you want to criticize, then don't listen to the song. No one forced you to listen to this song or even comment. Keep your negative opinions to yourself.
This song is awesome! It should be included in the top 10 of this list. Taylor Swift is an amazing singer and role model. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is already #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. I think this will be my new favorite song after "Moves Like Jagger," "Payphone," "Call Me Maybe," "Good Time," and "One More Night" by Maroon 5. Best songs in 2012.
I'm German, and in fact, I didn't really listen to her songs... They sometimes bored me. But this was the only song of hers that filled me with enthusiasm the first time I listened to it! I started to search for other songs that have been successful in America, and I found a lot that I liked too... But this was the song that made me become her fan! So I voted for this. Without a doubt, she should be more popular in Germany! And sorry for my bad English! As I've already mentioned, I am German and in the 8th grade, so that's why my comment probably sounds a bit strange.
An emotionally charged and quite intense song, right down to the lyrics and the story it entails for sure. I can personally identify with, and relate to it, as I have myself experienced an uncannily similar relationship situation in my own life firsthand. Yes, this song did make me cry, but it was certainly a good cry though! It has given me hope in my life when I needed it most. Extremely thrilling in just about every way, "Style" is one of the best works of music I have ever heard! Taylor Swift, you are awesome!
75? Really?! How can this song be so low? This is the best song from the new album! So far, I've never heard these kinds of songs by Taylor. This deserves to be in the Top 10! Please vote for this, guys!
Style is Taylor Swift's best song yet. I just love the chorus! I keep listening to this song on repeat, and I know it's my most-heard song. I really can't pass a single day without listening to Style. I keep listening to the chorus, and it blows my mind every single time. To me, it's the best song of all time :D Nabeel
1989, in general, is her best album thus far. It shows an overwhelming feeling of independence and maturity. Taylor is really herself in this album, as she has broken away from the notion that "You date too many guys." In this song, she shows how she has chosen the high road and doesn't really care about the haters. In 1989, she also fully breaks away from the country roots that held her back for so many years. I believe "Shake It Off" might be one of the best songs I have heard in a long time. It combines a masterful beat, a fantastic voice, and inspiring lyrics.
This song is a revolution for Taylor Swift's style. It's a totally new idea for her, and some parts are more outgoing and less guarded than her old videos, but I think she's still herself. This song is catchy, positive, and always nice to listen to.
Seriously, I've listened to it about five hundred times just this week. Literally!
It's going to hit the top ten when 1989, Taylor's first all-pop album, comes out.
Good work, Taylor, and I'm really pumped about 1989!
This is an amazing song! It is so upbeat but also emotional and innocent. It captures a beautiful scene, and Taylor's lyrics are perfect. "Hit me with those green eyes," "kiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain," and even the title line, "I see sparks fly whenever you smile," are all spectacular lyrics, enhancing the catchy melodies that go with them. "Speak Now" is by far Taylor Swift's best album for many reasons. I have to be honest. This song brings tears to my eyes. This is one of the songs that made me fall in love with Taylor's songwriting skills. It is underrated and undercommended in such a way that almost disappoints me. "Speak Now" undoubtedly displays Swift's raw talent, considering the fact that she wrote it all herself. This is excellent.
I love him. Actually, he is my crush. He doesn't love me. He probably just likes me as one of his close friends. He has thousands of girlfriends. No matter what, I will always love him. I never fell for his face. I fell for his heart, smile, and feelings. What is most important to me is his smile because it shows me very beautiful sparks flying in front of my eyes. I know he is a bad idea because he is not able to maintain long-term relationships with his girlfriends. I've cried so many times for him but have never been able to consider him bad because he is so, so, so special to me.
39? Really, this is very beautiful, and the lyrics are well-written. I wonder why Taylor hasn't made a music video for this song! I think it should be much higher because it's easily the best song from her latest album, RED!
Red at 17? Is anybody crazy? This is one of her best songs, and the lyrics are so intricately woven! This is her first pop song, and I must say it deserves one of the top 5 places on the chart!
This song has a sense of awe about it. The simplicity and beauty of it never fail to draw me in. I love Taylor Swift because of her amazing songwriting. A masterpiece.
I really like this song, especially "Mine." Why is "You Belong with Me" the first? It could be better if "Our Song" is the first! I swear this song is the best for me, so keep on voting for this song. This song makes me cry and reminds me of my ex-boyfriend living in Rome, Italy. I miss you, Babe! I wish you will live better there than here in the Philippines. I love you!
Taylor Swift is awesome. You shouldn't judge a song by when it came out. That's like judging you by when you were born. Taylor Swift's albums are all awesome, even her first one. Can you also put some songs on from Red because those songs are awesome? I do agree that it is number 1 material, so you should make it number 1. Help me by voting for this song. Always be a Swiftie, everyone.
This song is so unbelievably underrated! It's actually my second favorite Taylor Swift song after "You Belong with Me," but that's number 1, and this one is more country, so I'm voting for it. One of her oldest songs, along with "Teardrops on My Guitar," but that doesn't make it bad! This song at least deserves the Top 5.
I performed this song at a talent show, and we rocked it! I love every single Taylor Swift song, especially this one. It's so sad. I dislike all the guys who broke her heart. She didn't deserve it at all. She's awesome, and I love all the dresses she wears!
This song sounds beautiful, and the lyrics are absolutely fabulous. I like how the song is both sad and happy. It's very personal. Taylor Swift brings this awesome song to life with her amazing voice. I really love this song, and it will long linger in the hearts of Taylor's fans. I never get tired of White Horse. We LOVE you, Taylor Swift!
I think White Horse is an amazing song that advises you not to wait for your prince to come to you. If they don't come, move on and find someone who will treat you better. And if they change their mind and come back, they had their chance, and you've moved on. It's a beautiful song.
This is definitely my favorite. I won't say it's her best, but it deserves to be in the top 10. The very first lines, There's something 'bout the way / The street looks when it's just rained, create a lovely romantic atmosphere that can't be put into words. And then, And I don't know why, but with you, I'd dance in the storm in my best dress, FEARLESS, is my favorite lyric of all time. I never get tired of this one.
This song is so nostalgic. I listen to it every single day when I'm in the car. The music vibe and vocals, especially the choruses and the bridge, captivate me. I daydream about cartoons that evoke nostalgia. If I ever make a music video with cartoon scenes, I'll do it! To be honest, this song dominated 2008 and 2009!
"Fearless" brings back so many memories and gives me goosebumps. The Fearless era was so amazing that I can't let go of it. I love the "Speak Now" Taylor and the "RED" Taylor. But does that mean I don't miss the hair flips at EVERY show, the T-Parties, and all the other things? I miss them. Don't get me wrong. I don't think Taylor has changed and now sings pop. Songs like "Begin Again," "All Too Well," and "Treachorous," among many others, are still country. So please stop the hate. I love Taylor. "Fearless" should be at the top.
Amazing. Loved the fight sequence and Selena's acting. Loved the way Taylor makes her gang, and the end was so overwhelming. Best song of 1989. I replayed the song many times, enjoyed watching every move of Taylor Swift. Her clothes, hairstyle, and especially the shoes - every take was beyond perfection. Taylor is a very good actor. Taylor and Selena both make the perfect BFF couple. The video is a must-watch.
This depends on which version you're talking about. There's the original version on 1989, which has no rapping and is 100% less popular, and there's the rap version, which is or was everyone's favorite. I'm sorry, everyone, but I prefer the original. My favorite Taylor Swift song is Wonderland anyway.
This song is awesome! Why on earth is it at No. 70? Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, badass music video - what's not to love? It might not be the best but it's catchy and deserves to be at least in the Top 20.
This song is better than its ranking suggests. It deserves to be in the top 10. The lyrics are good and funny. The music and beat are typical of Taylor Swift, and her voice is, as always, enchanting. Overall, a very good song.
HOW IS THIS AT THE BOTTOM? My brother and I are rocking out to this amazing tune, and he is so cute doing the dance that he does to this song. It should be at the top of the list, not the bottom. I love all of her other songs, but when I was eight, this was the only song I would listen to. Who agrees with me that this should be one of the top ten?
This song is SO underrated! It's an amazing song. Even my friends who say they hate country still like it. It's the best way to get revenge through a song!
One of her best songs, really. The music sets the mood for the lyrics, so carelessly sung despite the slightly upbeat tempo and drums. While listening to this song, my entire surroundings fade out, and I can see what she's talking about: people with lives moving too fast for them to grasp, busy streets and busy lives. What I love about this song is that it talks about love and pain in general. I love that Taylor can tell a story through a song, but it bores me sometimes, you know, the same old story. Boy hurts girl, girl turns away, boy comes after her, etc. But this song is edgy and sexy, and Taylor's voice shifts from low to high in moments. It never fails to grab my attention. God, those high notes. I'm not a fan of Taylor's voice, but damn, if she doesn't know how to use it well. Well done, Taylor.
Definitely different and lesser-known than the rest of Taylor's songs, but in a good way. I like how it expresses two sides of the relationship, and there's a long instrumental before she sings. It's almost dreamy in a way but still brings you back into reality, if that makes sense. Anyways, I'm writing this after she released 1989, just to be clear. This song is great.
This is supposed to be a peaceful and calming soundtrack for The Hunger Games. And it is. It really gives you that strange feeling of peacefulness. When you are listening to this, you'll delve into your inner thoughts. The lyrics are deep. You can imagine them as parents protecting their child in a war. The composition, too, is calming. I really recommend this song for those who are searching for peacefulness. I always listen to this song before going to bed. It's a perfect lullaby.
This shouldn't be in 15th place. Safe and Sound is a haunting, beautiful song with more soul and emotion than any other Taylor Swift song. The lyrics tell a haunting story of life during the Hunger Games but can also be interpreted as a tragic lullaby to a dying loved one. Its peaceful and melodic sound, coupled with its beautiful music video and deep lyrics, makes it by far the best Taylor Swift song out there. I want this song to be played at my funeral. I love it that much.
Why is this #26? This is by far Taylor's best song. The music video is really cute too, and I wish that Ed and Taylor would make more music together. There's just something about their voices that goes so well together. This is 100% my favorite Taylor Swift song yet.
Come on, guys, you've got to vote for this song! This is one of the best songs ever, people! Are you mad? 31, really! Please help me by voting for this song. Let's get it all the way to... NUMBER ONE!
When Ed begins to harmonize with Taylor, I want to cry because it is perfection. I honestly don't really like Taylor Swift or her music, but this song is an exception.
